Saw a thread on FF that I thought might be of interest and relevance here. It was about Besiktas, who have just won their Champions League Group and have managed a remarkable turnaround in fortunes for the club, both in scale and speed. Recent success is made more prodigious by the fact that five years ago the club was in a financial crisis, facing 142 lawsuits and suspended from UEFA competition over match-fixing allegations. President Fikret Orman took on a job nobody wanted and, in retrospect, hitting rock-bottom turned out to be a blessing in disguise as the board set about making sweeping changes. "Over the last few years we have built something for the future, rather than short term goals like the title race," Orman told ESPN FC. "It was a big step for us involving recruiting the right players, right coaches, brand management, sponsorship agreements, financial arrangements, communication tools and more. What we are witnessing now is our vision starting to come to fruition. Murty talked about the Aberdeen performances being a new benchmark and the players needing to keep at that level, play at a high tempo etc. He repeated it in his pre-match interview but the players forgot about it when the whistle blew to start the game. My impression is that Murty won't make much difference when it comes to getting players up for the game. He'll give them some decent traing sessions, etc but whilst some of the players may like him, not many will respect/fear him.

A win is a win and that is 3 wins IAR but no consistency of performance. Jack was missed and will be again at Easter Road. We can only hope we raise our game on Wednesday on which McCrorie may be a doubt for.

Wilson has obviously decided to go for the Golden Boot Don't let this slip.
-
Morelos Keep at it and get the 3 points now lads !
-
Seen a very similar movie before, we need to see a better ending. Would be a good time for Morelos to get back on the goal trail.

Ross County score their first goal since November 4th

Sorry, I misunderstood/misread your post and only answered what I thought I'd seen.

Richard Gordon uses the word 'concomitant' within interview in blatant but 'impartial' pisstake. In part we asked fot it and deserve stick for that statement but it shouldn't come from a BBC anchor.

If there had been communication between McInnes/agent and Rangers then it would have been unofficial. Rumour going around the South of Europe is that this was all a cunning plan to demotivate the sheep, win the two games and double bluff about our future plans.

When you have Xavi, Iniesta and Messi in their pomp (all through the youth system *)......it must have made a managers life so much easier. * the three Barca players with most all-time appearences for the club (more than 2,000 matches between them). What made the Guardiola system (at Barca) so effective and difficult to defend against was the cutting edge that was and is Messi, often supplied by the other two aforementioned.

Have you looked at the league table ? Mourinho has to go for a win, even if it isn't in a gung-ho style. If he plays for the draw, the United support have to question if Mourinho is the type of manager to take ManUtd forward.

In amongst the day to day trials and tribulations of our club, a football match is like the compulsory taking of a mystery pill that will take you into a different place, where your trip can be soothing, even enjoyable or bad, often with online side effects. What will it be today ? Ross County at home should mean 3 points and hopefully it will but we need to work at it like we did against the sheep and not slack off, drop the tempo and make it relatively easy to defend against. If we maintain our form, score an early goal, it might even be a breeze but I wouldn't bet on it. We should have too much against a team who haven't scored a goal for 5 weeks. Murty has a decision or two to make about the team but regardless of personnel, it'll be all about a good attitude, determination and playing at a high tempo. We do that well and the chances will come.

Were you playing Chinese whispers around a table ?

If it wasn't bad enough, you have who I've read is the most reliable ITK poster on FF, 'Derek5287' saying............. "Mark Allen has done nothing since he came through the door. People will see through him quick enough. Another picking up a wage from our club for doing absolutely nothing."
-
The majority probably will show him reasonable leeway but enough won't, will be loud about their unhappiness and will be where attention will be directed.
-
I guess we'd be as well waiting and see what happens game by game. Good luck to GM, he'll need some.
-
If that was to be the case then we couldn't reasonably presume he would take it and therefore have kept eggs in one basket. Especially after what happened with McInnes/Sunderland.
-
The pressure that switches to Graeme Murty now, is immense and signs have been that when things go wrong (and I'd bet sooner rather than later), he's not up to it. We go to Easter Road next week and you can't help but think of Kenny McDowall. The board have said Murty until at least the end of the year......but they had better be looking for the next man with some urgency.
-
Maybe you have some kind of traslation service that isn't working well and that is why your reply doesn't make any sense in relation to the post you quote. Let me translate......I'm putting forward a reason why I think the McInnes decision is nothing to do with 'a lack of bottle'.
-
Very much so and the longer it continues in the present way, the more a finite source of money will be wasted, getting no-where.
-
The context of that line was a question of 'bottle' that others were talking about. The main thrust of the post was.......... If it was simply a lack of bottle, then there would be other decent managers out there with bottle, who will jump at the chance of taking the job. If there aren't and I don't see any on the immediate horizon, then it suggests something other than 'bottle'.
-
Agree with the general point you put forward. Since April 2016, the board seems to have been dysfunctional and in charge of a developing omnishambles. Approaching the AGM, I thought that they had a chance to turn it around and showed some positive signs, but this managerial 'process' confirms it's still all over the place.

Maybe you should apply to join as an intern under the wing of Mr.Traynor.
