Changes bring risk …. but not as much risk as no changes when things are going badly.
Many Rangers fans are now so risk averse as to be reluctant to risk even success.
We've had our fingers burned pretty severely in the past, so some hesitance is only natural. We need to push past this though, which is where the calm heads and vision comes in. Its also only natural to ask what that vision is... our new Chairman's first proper interview will be interesting.

Rangers fans: Sack the board! The squad needs to be gutted! The club is an omni-shambles!
Rangers: *Make various board changes*
Rangers fans: All of these resignations are deeply concerning. I fear that there’s a bombshell heading our way. I'm worried.
Thats maybe not as daft as you think. [Well, maybe I am...]
I am both pleased/relieved that we are grasping the nettle and realising that changes were needed on multiple fronts... but also at the same time a little nervous that we aren't able to get replacements who are much different to what we have/had and we stagnate. The scale and pace of change is also easy to mess up and could unsettle some of the staff who are performing well.
Celtic were able to turn things around very quickly with Fat Ange's appointment, and that will be the challenge for next season. But if it doesn't happen, it wont take long for there to be many questions about the way these changes are happening. We need calm heads and a clear vision. In Bennett we are going to have to trust.

Yes and wouldn't be a surprise if there's more to follow. Essential that Bisgrove's replacement is carefully selected.
There was reference to him developing talent as being one of his strengths. You could interpret that as suggesting he already has someone in the team ready to step up. We shall see.

Bennett making an immediate impression as Chairman. Hopefully a sign that we will start to get on the front foot as an organisation. Its long overdue.

Many wanted Wilson and Robertson gone. However its come about, they have their wish.

Aberdeen had their chance to complain when Rangers were asking for support to remove the SFA/SPFL leadership but of course were happy to keep their heads down. Horrible club.
Their appeal was ridiculous. I felt the same as they do when Ryan Jack was retrospectively banned for a similar challenge, vs Aberdeen from memory (I could be wrong).
However football has moved on and it doesn’t matter if you win the ball if you then recklessly following through and endanger your opponent.
That said, the additional ban was equally silly.0 -

If its a trial to see how it goes then I vote yes on the basis that it will hopefully help promote traffic to Gersnet.

If you were a shareholding director with privileged access to new allotments of shares ... AND you were privy to information about a prospective offer to buy Rangers, knowing that such an offer would almost certainly value the club at more than 25p per share, then wouldn't you be keen to top up your personal shareholding too? I know I would.
Seems like a lot of risk for only a marginal benefit. *

I still remain hopeful Lewis Mayo can step up to be a back-up CB.
He's played over 20 games for Kilmarnock this season.
I've been saying that for about three years, though...
I watched a few minutes of their first half vs Septic on Sunday and he was all at sea for their third I think, caught under the ball. Perhaps unfair to judge him based on that, but looked average.

In fairness, now is the time to air this 3-5-2 if it’s ever going to be deployed in anger.

Does the result last weekend open the door for some changes. Will Goldson be back? I think we need to give Hagi a confidence boost by starting him and ditto for Yilmaz. What do you think
McGregor
Tavernier - Souttar - Davies - Yilmaz
Raskin - Jack
Sakala - Cantwell - Hagi
Colak
I'd take that, but maybe throw in McCrorie if he's fit.

Sporting/Technical Directors, of whatever they like to be called, are just as dependent upon results as managers. There might be some additional KPIs where are relevant in terms of their wider remit, but unless the team is delivering on the pitch, there will always be questions asked of those making the key decisions.

For the rest of the season, my hopes are... same as they always are.
WIN EVERY GAME.

The rest of the league is weak.
The recent rule change, for extra substitutes, favours Rangers and Celtic.
Exactly this. It played into their hands particularly in the early part of the this season when our injury record was at its height, but now our injury list has calmed down, we are seeing the benefits of it too.

So King thinks the shares are undervalued, yet knocks back an offer which he himself considers to be a fair value.

I'd imagine they might look to bring someone else onto the Board to share the load, which might make sense of a couple of recent events:
- Stuart Gibson's interview with This is Ibrox; and
- the most recent share issue (could be whoever is earmarked for coming onto the board has sought to increase their shareholding in advance)
Speculation on my part however.

Good to see mccrorie on the bench actually. If he’s back fit then will be interesting to see if he gets any minutes before the end of the season.

On the train back to Vietnauld a happy camper. The away support schooled the spoon burners in every sense tonight.

The thought that I've had a few times in the last few days has been just how much Gerrard's star pushed us on and also glossed over the underlying frailties in our infrastructure. Frailties that have been systematically exposed since we won 55.
