  1. I can't believe you omitted Kevin Thomson. The final name to make me slit my wrists...
  2. Can I join you in your pit of despair?
  3. Touché.
  4. But, but, but we're skint! And the board are useless! We're finished. We should just pack up. Admin 2.0 here we come!
  5. Will it be orange?
  6. You're really stuck in a pit of dispair, aren't you?
  7. Possibly not, but he will be directed by GvB, rather than having the freedom to implement his own ideas. A bit like Beale playing a more expansive style with QPR than he ever did with us.
  8. I think Molde are already champions? Haud on! You were saying Knutsen was too good for us, and now you're suggest he's p*sh? Nice of you to check, though. You're correct, a manager will want his own staff. I'm just trying to offer a solution - not that it matters in the end.
  9. I don't disagree with that, but I still maintain that a decent manager gets more out of this team. Enough to win the league? Probably not. I will suggest that a SG approach would get closer with this team than GvB has. (That does not mean I want SG back!)
  10. I wasn't suggesting Vos as an ideal replacement, just offering a cut-price solution to the argument that we're so skint we can't sack a manager. I think he'd do better than GvB, in all honesty. Maybe not, though. Apparently we can't afford to pay off one manager, but we can sell and buy a whole new squad?
  11. I don't believe we're that skint. We must be the only club in the world that can't afford to sack a manager. If we are, I've outlined a couple of moves (a while ago, but in this very thread) we can make that would only cost paying off GvB and a couple of assistants. I also do not believe we need to rebuild the squad - a refresh, sure; but that's a 2-3 players? Basically, sack GvB and his two assistants. Appoint Vos, keep Bowley. Appoint Milsom and Culshaw as technical assistants (they're out of work). Surely that doesn't cost a lot? But, ideally, I think we should move for Knutsen. His contract - and those of his staff, presumably -- runs out this season. Even the most financially troubled club - we're far from that - will sack a manager if they keep losing. Oldham Athletic have been issued several winding up orders, yet have gone through 9 managers in the last 3-4 years. You think we're worse than that?!
  12. I understand where you're coming from, but if he keeps losing matches, he will be sacked, no matter how little money we have. We've sacked numpties before and put worse numpties in caretaker charge.
  13. I agree, unfortunately. Unless they grow a pair... ?
  14. I would put Dave Vos in charge, if there's no one else easily available (which I don't believe). He's supposedly very highly regarded. I wonder what he could do if not shackled by GvB's horseshoe.
  15. Unai Emery's Villa 2-0 up against Man Utd after 15 minutes...
  16. Yes, it's tame in comparison, but this match can be quite feisty.
  17. Marseille-Lyon could be tasty too. The last game was abandoned, iirc.
  18. Form is temporary, and a' that...
  19. Oh, well. I've got Sampdoria-Fiorentina, Leverkusen-Union, Southampton-Newcastle, Tottenham-Liverpool, Roma-Lazio, Juventus-Inter and Marseille-Lyon to take my mind of our troubles. It might be enough...
  20. ... Correct Result (1 pt): - Correct Number of Rangers Goals (1pt): - FGS (2 pts): Onevision and FS. Correct Score (3 pts): - Latest Standings:
  21. Our xG is 1.3, from 29 shots...
  22. And... that's Fashion pulled a hamstring.
  23. I know we keep asking for players to hit from range, but when we do it's into the 'keeper's hands or row z.
  24. That time-wasting is blatant.
  25. I thought Sands would drop into defense, but he's not even there.
