The above video highlights wingers playing high and wide, which, strangely, is somewhat rare nowadays - usually they cut inside and play in the half-space. When you have quick wingers it's so important to isolate them 1v1. We have frighteningly quick "wingers" in Kent, Sakala and Matondo, but we don't/can't use them properly.

To be fair to @Sutton_blows_goats, they had been poor, until they changed their manager.

It can only help things, but I'd rather put anything we have to spend in January towards a new manager.

I do remember Wilson saying at the time that he was pleased with the pedigree of the options - He might have just been saying that, however. It bodes well for future appointments that there are options available. (I always expected him to have a constantly updated and monitored shortlist, anyway.) I questioned GvB's appointment at the time, but I don't think it was a bad appointment; only with hindsight.

He's not the "biggest cause", but certainly the recruitment has not been good enough. It's still on GvB for failing to utilise the players properly.

That's a better article. Recruitment has been poor for a couple of windows. I do think the recruitment this window has been good, though. At the time, the profiles were good and it covered all the areas we were short, except in central midfield (a #8), but we were well-stacked there anyway. The signings haven't found their place in the first-team, but I blame GvB for that.

Was that the handball? I didn't think so. His arms are not in an unnatural position, relatively close to his body and the ball doesn't travel far. I think think Forest (?) flicks the ball up to win the penalty.
