Rangers remain without Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos due to suspension for Saturday's trip to Hearts, live on Sky Sports. If Rangers fail to win on Saturday, then Celtic will be champions if they win at Hibernian on Sunday. Steven Gerrard insists he has no new injury concerns and his entire squad is fit and available apart from his two key men, who were dismissed against Celtic in March. Gerrard, whose team are 11 points off Ladbrokes Premiership leaders Celtic and were knocked out by Aberdeen in both of the domestic cups, said: "I think the players deserve a lot of credit considering where they were 12 months ago to where they are now. "But the message to the players is quite clear, we need to continue to work hard and keep improving because there's still a way to go before we are ready to compete for real." After featuring in the victory over Inverness, Hearts midfielder Peter Haring has suffered a recurrence of the groin injury that kept him out for a few weeks and is a major doubt. Hearts remain without Aidan Keena, Steven Naismith, Ben Garuccio, Demetri Mitchell and Callumn Morrison due to long term knee problems. https://www.skysports.com/football/hearts-vs-rangers/preview/406760

Preferably, yes, but a few experienced heads will be crucial. McGregor has made a big difference this season. -

Many disagreed, but I thought Davis has been good the last few games. -

I watched a little of the Edinburgh Derby. Souttar was constantly coming out with the ball. I remember thinking at the time, 'I wished Goldson or Worrall could come out like that'. I always thought he was one of the better CBs in the league. I reckon that would be a good signing. -
I think Demotion curtailed his Ranges career, so he may have progressed otherwise. Then again, we've had lads like Fleck and wasted them. That's a whole other kettle of fish: an unfulfilled potential XI.

I love these threads, but I also hate them. I've got the following, but I'm still annoyed that I'm missing many out! (5-2-3 - because I need to have a formation.) Klos / Wattereus Hutton / Ricksen - Amoruso - Weir - Papac - Numan / Van Bronckhorst Ferguson / Gattuso - Albertz / Tugay / Reyna De Boer / Lovenkrands - Mols / Wallace / Arveladze - Laudrup / McCann

FT 0-3 Rangers. We were not great today, but solid and workmanlike. We were clinical, however; something that has been missing. I was really pleased with our offensive structure, though: it was a proper 4-3-3, with the wide men playing as inside forwards, in between the lines. Too often our 4-3-3 morphs into a 4-1-4-1 or 4-5-1 which isolates the forward. Solid, professional performance. Three goals and a clean sheet. We can't argue with that. -

I think wide should now be Arfield's primary position--or at least, inside forward. He is a wide man by trade. -

I actually liked the structure of the midfield and attack today. The midfield trio covered the space well, kept close together, and interchanged position; and the attacking trio picked up excellent positions, Candeias and Arfield especially. They've just been a bit sloppy and flat. -

Defoe has been solid. Unlucky not to grab a goal--outwith the one wrongly chopped off. -

0-3 Rangers! Defoe lays it on a plate for Arfield to complete his hat-trick! -
