PC said he signed Silva to play as a 9 but he can play across the front 3. Given we play 1 up top with 3 behind, and all his minutes in a Rangers Jersey have been as a 9, that's where he's gonna play (for the most part) 😀

And you know what, we can discuss the merits (cough) of playing Sterling wide left all week, but in the end, we got the required result. It is easy to get fixated on how pleasing, or unpleasant on the eye a game of football is, but when your deep in a race to become champion, sometimes you've just gotta win any way you can.

Silva is a number 9 as is Desserss. We'll see them rotated and one will start,the other will feature from the bench. I wouldn't read too much into Dessers playing on Saturday and Silva being an unused sub. The opposition and type of system they play will also be taken into consideration when PC is selecting his team.

Only player we could get serious money for would be Butland.

Would make sense as whilst it's not currently a priority, we need to think about a long-term replacement for Tav.

For those still hankering for us to sign Shankland, both us and them had scouts at Tynecastle on Saturday. However, I don't think we were looking at anyone in particular, both us and them play Aberdeen in coming days / weeks and that's why we were having them watched?

Cortes situation sounds similar to Cifuentes - signed for Lens in the summer, been unable to settle now being put out on loan. Hopefully he can settle here as we need him and other signings to hit ground running.

Our initial out lay for him was £3.4M which we've had scant return for (that's undebatable) - so anything around that figure would suffice.

Went of Butland - no outfield player played that well for the entire game. Mention to CD for his goal, Lunsdtram for the assist and best midfield player. Soutar also played well in defence.

Again, to quote you, debatable. Other issue that goes against him is he isn't in our EL squad. We are only allowed 3 changes, so if Ridvan is one, Silva is onr, only leaves Clement 1 more change.

So do we also keep the others who've had a few injuries? why do you think other managers didn't give him a chance? Is it coincidence that when he does play, even under Clement it's when Borna is unavailable?
