Borna in my opinion is slightly better than Ridvan at the moment as he offers more going forward (his assists are decent for a LB). Given Ridvans Rangers career thus far, he can't seem to play more than 5 or 6 consecutive games. We play over 50 games a season and need players who can play to a high standard for 40 odd games a season. Neither Borna nor Ridvan appear capable of that.

The question to ask yourself is if Borna put in those same performances (and he has) would we be raving about him and saying he was worth £5m? The answer is no.

So 4 (questionalble) is MANY? He was good v Hibs, decent against Kilmarnock average in the rest. He (and Borna) need moved on and given we've been linked with around 4 or 5 LBs this window, looks like the manager thinks the same.

Hearts finishing 3rd in league will guarantee them at least £5M. Selling Shankland will seriously dent their ability to finish 3rd as he is the only player scoring goals for them. Given that, why would they sell Shankland for any less than 5M? They don't need to sell him, so just because you or anyone else wants them to, it ain't gonna happen or anything less than £4M

So Ridvan is worth more than Shankland? How do you work that out? He's played like 25 games in 18 months, scored 1 league goal, has a horrendous injury record and isn't a 1st team regular

I don't have a downer on him, just can't see him as a Rangers player. You are correct it is different from Cifuentes as he's been here 5 minutes, Ridvan has been here for much longer. I want all players we sign to succeed, and don't tend to write them off after 5 minutes. Players like Dessers, Lammers, Cifu, Sima, Sterling were all lambasted at the start of the season on here, at games by Rangers fans. Sima turned it around quickly as he started to score goals, taken Dessers a little longer. Meanwhile, a player who has been here for a significant amount of time, failed to feature much under 3 managers and has struggled to play more than 6 consecutive games, has bern as injury prone, is seen now as someone we should keep after 1 decent game.

No he hasn't, he's struggled since the moment he signed. He has either been injured, unavailable (for whatever reason) and unable to break into the team under 3 managers. He only plays when Borna is unavailable. Can anyone tell me what is his longest run of games for us? 4 or 5 in a row? If Clement doesn't fancy Cifuentes them fine, same with any of our players. If Clement wants them moved on, then move them on.

Now turned it around and only player we have who looks like scoring on a consistent basis (given Sima and Danilo are out and Silva is just finding his feet).

We're great at it. Look at Dessers - ripped apart on here, booed at Ibrox, now he's banging goals in and looking a decent player. Dessers arrived coming back from an injury, took a little time to get back to 100% fitness but now looks a player who'll score goals for us.

The answer is no, but another one written off before he even kicked a ball for us. Hopefully goes on loan and either comes back an improved player or gets moved on. Either works for me.

So where are we magically getting the required £5M from? I don't think anyone has denied that he'd score goals for us. But so would Miovski who would cost the same, has better potential so why not the same clamour for him?

Why are we still discussing Shankland? Out of our price range and doesn't fit the player trading model the manager keeps banging on about (and something we need to implement ASAP). Miovski is in my opinion a far better player than Shankland, younger, would fit into our playing style and would have a far better return on investment. Not that we are likely to sign him, but a far better option than Shankland As for Ridvan, if there ia any real offer on the table, take it and sell him.

Barely deserved and will take the 3 points. Terrible performance and very few players deserved pass marks. Hopefull juust a combination of the conditions and a small dip in performance.
