I don't think I've ever witnessed a "dumb demand" from any fan or fans group. Asking for engagement regarding areas of the club that the majority of fans feel are neglected (they've been named previously) are not "dumb" demands. If the board are genuinely backing Gio, asking them the reasons for this isn't a "dumb demand". The fans are the biggest financial contributors to the club - season tickets, merch, shares, corporate hospitality, RTV, MyGers etc. The board are the leaders of the club, they are meant to set the example that all other departments follow, ignoring your "customer base" isn't setting an example, it's ignorant and arrogant.
-
If the board are behind Gio, coming out and explaining how and why they are backing him would not undermine him, it would support him.
-
We'll need to agree to disagree - on important issues like ticketing, customer experience, managers future, the board have an "obligation" to keep fans informed.
-
If the board truly believe Gio is the man to take us forward, I'd invite them to tell the fan base their reasons for seeing Gio as the manager to win us the SPFL title and make a constant fist of European football. In fact, I'd say the boards continued reluctance to engage with the fans is arrogant and ignorant in the extreme. A couple of car-crash interviews then radio silence doesn't constitute engagement. Enough of my moaning, I'm away to purchase a dozen copies of the Rangers v Liverpool panoramic photos....

Don't know if this has been posted in this thread or elsewhere, but decent listen.

Today I have heard that the board have given Gio a vote of confidence and also heard he will be removed this week! So as clear as mud 🤷♂️😁

Yeah, just saw that - unbelievable

Looks like there was / is a meeting today at Training Centre. Gio to be given the "deaded" vote of confidence by the looks of things. Also heard Wilson is attending a "transfer and recruitment" seminar in Germany over next few days, so doesn't look like he is getting punted anytime soon.

If you think that's bad, I raise you - Liam Kelly and Liam Hemderson.

Is he not in Jesus And The Marychain?

Thankfully Livi, Hearts, St Mirren and Aberdeen all taking points off each other. -
Looks like Graham Potter might be available soon 🤷♂️😀 Shows changing the manager doesn't always guarantee an upturn in fortunes.

Taking away the finacial aspect, given the relatively short time Gio has been manager, what the board do during the winter-break is crucial for our medium-term future. No matter If they truly believe Gio is the man to take us forward, or they decide ti sack him, they need to significantly back whoever is in charge during the January transfer window. Waiting until the end of the season to make the cull (on and off the pitch) will render next season pointless as well. However, sticking or twisting now is a major gamble either way. What we need is stability, not changing the manager every 12 - 18 months. Huge decisions for the board, but are they capable of making them? For me, they'll sit tight and hope and pray Gio can turn it around with little or no funding.

Contrast is stark - we concede and you know its going to be a slog to get an equaliser, nevermind a winner. They concede and you know for certain they will score not just an equaliser, but a winner. Conceding seems to spur them on whilst it knocks the stuffing out of us. -

Well that was underwhelming to say the least. Long, hard remainder to the season. If you were a betting man, you'd bet it'll end trophyless. -

Whilst you are not wrong, that is just simple basics - that's not coaching, that's just a player reacting like a rabbit caught in headlights. -
