I'm sure our Director of Football will not only be looking at players to improve our team but also managers and backroom staff. However, with no disrespect to SG and his staff, I'm sure Newcastle and their fans will be looking for a manager with a proven record. They are on course to be relegated, wonder what Big Sam is up to?

When it comes to new kits, I am no longer the demographic being targeted so I'm usually no plused and don't have strong opinions either way. However, given the reasoning and history behind this kit, in my humble opinion, the club and Castore have gotten this 100% correct. Looks classy, the crest is spot-on. If I was 30 years younger and (cough cough) stone lighter I'd have already purchased this!

Alex Scott at Bo'ness United. I had the fortune to meet Caldow 2hen I was doing a YTS at a builders yard in Linlithgow. He would drop into the office a few times a month and always took time out to talk about Rangers. This would be early 1984 and he would tell me to continue to follow follow and that the good days would return. Proud moment was when he walked past me at Ibrox and stopped to speak to me. Gentleman and a true Ranger.

Besides the obvious greats, my Dad always talks about Alex Scott in glowing terms. Maybe because be played for Bo'ness United before signing for Rangers. Scott scored 57 goals in 216 appearances for Rangers, including a Hat-trick on his debut, aged just 19. Scott would go on to win four league titles, one Scottish and two League Cups. He was also part of the Rangers side defeated by in the 1961 UEFA Cup Winners Cup Final scoring Rangers' only goal. The signing of the majestic Willie Henderson effectively ended Scott's Rangers career and he moved to Everton, then Hibs and finally Falkirk.

In 1984 I had Hearts fans chase me to train station, also had to stop a group of them take a UF off a young Rangers fan circa 2010/2011. Then there was the infamous game at Tynecastle when Fernando scored a late penalty and Hearts fans in Roseburn(?) Pelted Rangers fans with coins. Also remember the Championship game at Ibrox v Hearts that was a late call off due to snow / Ice. Plenty bother at that game both inside and outside the ground. Going further back, I can just about remember the Gorgie Skins who weren't shy in coming forward and giving you a "nice reception" at Haymarket and up to Tynecastle. In fact sure there was a game where they came to Ibrox and were in the old West Enclosure trying to take liberties. Sure one of the older than me Bears could confirm. I know lots of decent Hearts fans - one of my oldest / best friends is a Jambo and I used to go to Hearts games with him if Rangers weren't playing. Also know lots of Hibs fans and vast majority of them are decent and never had any hassle from them. The Cup Final was a disgrace, but I've had more trouble / abuse from Hearts than Hibs. Hearts think they're a big team, they ain't- never have been, never will be. However, agree neither are a patch on Aberdeen ?

Personally not had much bother from Hibs fans and Easter Road has always been my favourite away ground. I'd even say I dislike Hearts and their fans much more than Hibs.

Another vote for Lundstram but after watching the game back, Balogun also had a very good game. Mentions to Patterson and Borna for their assists and Roofe and Alfie for their finishes.

I think if someone offered us this situation (in the league) before a ball was kicked, we'd have taken it. After 8 games, 6 points ahead of a "resurgent" Celtic and 1 point off our points tally at same stage of last season. All this without a settled team due to Covid, injuries and late returns to pre-season due to internationals. We still have Helander, Jack and Kent to return, who when on form are arguably 3 of our best players.

Kinda says it all really, puts things into perspective.

Credit where credits due, very good 2nd half performance and two great goals. Lundstram was best player on pitch by a mile.

Huge 45mins ahead - is take Aribo off as this ref will try anything to even this up. Need our big players to step up here.
