  1. Did you read the analysis?
  2. Very good oont - I'd add Souness and McCoist to SAF as people we should be approaching to help at the moment.
  3. A brilliant piece of analysis/stats from a poster on FF which shows how far we've regressed under PC (from MB) - link below and we'll worth a read. MB points per game - 2.37 PC points per game - 2.24 However, since the home defeat to Motherwell in March, PC's PPG is 1.76. This would mean a total of just 76 points over a 38 game season. https://www.followfollow.com/forum/threads/clement-vs-beale.285905/
  4. Oh, and I'll give you stubborn 😣 Away and play with your XG. 😃
  5. Good question for the AGM, the people who can answer that will be present and hoping for questions about pies, MyGers, Castore, Russia / Ukraine conflict. Basically anything other than that question 😃
  6. Not a clash, simply a discussion between 2 posters with different opinions 😃
  7. Look at the transfer fees they pay, compared to us. They use their income far better than we do. They are better ran than us, they are better coached than us. Its that simple.
  8. Agreed we can't go back, but he needs to be involved (IMO) in getting the correct people into the club - if he wants to sell his shares for top dollar it's in his (ours, boards etc) interest to have the club in an upwards trajectory rather than the current downward spiral
  9. But we don't have to dream. We have to stop listening to the narrative that we can't challenge as we're going through rebuilding, restructuring, cost cutting, whatever you want to call it. It's up to the board to get their collective fingers out their collective arses and starting running this club correctly. It's up to us fans to put whatever pressure we can on them to do so, starting at the AGM. I'd also say it's time for all ego's to be parked (apologies for the pun) and get everyone (DK included) around the table and get OUR club sorted.
  10. It is - look across the city.
  11. No, it's not difficult. It's simple. Hire the correct people both on and off the pitch. Get the players fit, strong and focused. Get them coached properly. Beat the "rest" on a regular basis and the OF games will take care of themselves. That surely isn't that difficult?
  12. I have looked at the accounts. I've watched as we sold players for millions. I've watched as fans have bought season tickets and European Tickets for top dollar. I've watched as the fans have ploughed money into the club in various other avenues. As long as the club continues to make rhe wrong appointments (or no appointments in this boards case) we'll never move forward. We generate money, but we spend it unwisely (NEH, incorrect appointments, Copland debacle, court cases etc). Until the bowling club committee hand control to real football business people, we'll continue to p1ss what little money we have up a wall and continue to regress. The board want you to believe its difficult to turn around, it isnt, it's a matter of employing the correct people. Even as badly run as we are, we should be dominating all teams outwith Celtic - that's down to recruitment and coaching, which are other areas we sadly lack in.
  13. So you're accepting that we can't challenge in this backwater because we don't have money? The accounts show we can generate money, it's just that we continue to make the wrong appointments and our player recruitment is woeful. It's not long ago that we sold Bassey, Aribo and Patterson for circa £40M - where did that money go? Where did the CL money go? It's all good, I'm sure at the forthcoming AGM the board (or what's left of them) will be grilled about ongoing mismanagement, unfilled roles etc rather than tepid pies.
  14. I don't get this - we've not been successful for 14 years (other than 1 league title and 1 EL final). The fans have been more than patient. Are we now accepting that we aren't and won't be a successful club?
  15. No I don't, but to say we wouldn't be able to afford him next season was a ridiculous thing to say. The guy is raw, has something about him but, in my opinion, at £1.7M, a gamble we shouldn't have taken in the summer. That money would have been better spent on a player (striker) who was experienced and ready to contribute from the start of the season. I remember Beale getting rightly slaughtered for say something similar about Cifuentes.
  16. Either way, he appears not to rate them. He also said of Igamane that if we hadn't signed him this summer, we wouldn't have been able to afford him next. Either he can't spot a player, or Koppen can't and is spinning Clement a yarn, as no way is Igamane going to be worth untold millions come June 2025. Hos job is to coach the players (his or otherwise) and improve them. He's done the complete opposite.
  17. I agree that the pressure should be applied to those upstairs, for many things. However, Clement has been backed - circa £10M for Diomande and Cortes, £1.7M for Igamane, £2M for Propper. We should never settle for "not challanging" domestically, we should be able beat "the rest" on a regular basis, no matter what "transition" we are in. Clement picks the team (weirdly he chooses players he didn't sign more often than not), he sets out the structure, style, fitness, tactics etc. We are in perpetual decline, some may say terminal decline on and off the pitch. Clement has to take blame for the on-field decline whilst Gilligan (et al) shoulder the blame for the off-field cluster-fcuk.
  18. In isolation, that's true, but we've been poor all season. Europe can be taken into consideration yesterday, but not for all our poor performances.
  19. One of my best mates is a Hearts fan and speaking to him after 1st game of the season, I said both Hearts and us looked very unconvincing and that both them and us would struggle this season. Spoke to him again last night and said neither of us have improved from that opening fixture at Tynecastle. Two very poor teams yesterday as they were in the opening game of the season.
  20. Just read Hearts completed the most passes they've ever managed at Ibrox yesterday. Don't know what that means (lack of press, willingness to allow Hearts to pass in certain areas, good marking so they had to ho back/side ways)????
  21. Can't disagree with most of that, but we are now in a situation where fans decided to boo when the manager made the correct decision (to replace Barron). Barron was struggling and when replaced, we regained a little composure and control of the game.
  22. The last successful loans I can remember were Alan McGregor and Charlie Adam. That's why getting them playing in a competitive league structure is so important.
  23. Did they specify which year? Any talk of movement on the other roles?
  24. Any update on the four key positions that have still to be filled? Are the board hoping we'll just forget about them? Horrendous.
  25. I think it's worth remembering the level these youths are playing at. They aren't even playing in a competitive league (another mistake taking them out of the Lowland League). Curtis does appear to be a standout and as far as I'm aware he has been promoted through the levels and into the B-Team and looked promising anytime I've seen him (2 or 3 games). Currently, its hardly a conducive atmosphere for promoting youngstera into our 1st team (not an excuse).
