We did create chances but so did Celtic (other than the ones they scored). They were as wasteful in front of goal as we were yet won 3-0 in a canter. As for Shankland, yes, he is as wasteful, no striker isn't "wasteful" I get that we need to try and pick positives from yet another shit-show, but I'm finding it hard to see what has changed - that was as bad as anything Beale or Gio served up at Parkhead.

4th in the SPL, 5 points adrift, but it's OK as we signed a few young players who might or might not finally win us a league title in 2029. Acceptance of failure and 2nd best, it's now the Rangers way.
-
Need to find them first.

Its all well.and good taking this season in isolation and even in doing so, the results and performances have mostly been unacceptable. Unless you class meekly exiting the CL qualifiers and being 5 points adrift in the League acceptable and progression. Again, it's all well and good investing in the future, but that doesn't help the here and now. With so many players leaving it was crucial we signed players ready to step into the 1st team and improve the quality. The season appears to be over after 4 games, that is unacceptable, rebuild or not.

Sorry, thought I had to do / say something 🤷♂️😀

Whats Graeme Murty up to these days? Asking for a friend.
-
He did, but what changed, it can't all have been down to the players? Something happened and it happened around that Motherwell defeat. After that we were in free-fall and results and performances were, in the most part, unacceptable. There were strange team selections, questionable subs and conplete loss of form. If you think we've seen improvements this season, fine, but I just don't see it (Ross Country game apart). After circa 1 year in charge and without a OF victory the manager should have had the players ready for today with a plan to stop the inevitable. Instead, we got our arses handed to us big style. 1st of September and we've failed to qualify for the CL (we could be with the money) and are 5 points behind in the league. That's not the kind of "progress" we need.
-
The sad truth is that we'll continue to regress and they'll continue to get stronger unless we get significant investment and / or hire football minded people to run our club. I've never felt so far removed from the club / team / section of fans since the dark days of David Murray. The acceptance of being 2nd best goes against everything our club stands for but appears to be the standard our board, manager, players and growing number of fans hold us to.

A truck load required

I don't know if this is boring or pathetic, probably both.
-
So we need to rebuild the rebuild? None of the new players showed any improvement from our last defeat at Celtic Park, in fact we were considerably worse. If the new players have shat it, where do we go now?
-
Stopped our full backs going forward. He is responsible for the tactics, the players fitness, our application, our standards etc He takes the responsibility.
-
The manager has to accept responsibility. He changed the way we played around that time and our form went out the window.
-
You're shifting the goalposts - since that home loss to Motherwell, I'm struggling to remember 2 or 3 excellent performances - help an old man with failing memory out, point them out to me?
-
This season.
-
But it's beyond poor run of results now. He threw away a lead in last season league race and we are now 5 points behind in this seasons and went out CL qualifiers with a wimper. There has been very little decent performances especially this season. Terrible against Hearts, lucky to beat Motherwell, lost out CL qualifier, were OK against St Johnsone, were good against Ross County but back to terrible today. Results win games and titles not performances. Your basically attempting to polish a turd.
-
It's not a stupid question - it's relevant as the current managers recent record is horrific with little or no sign of improvement. How long does Clement gey? Until we are 15 points behind? Next season? 2 seasons? 3 seasons? Until they win 10?
-
It doesn't matter if I want him sacked or not, he has been given an extended contract and Bennett has confirmed the board are all-in with him and his vision. Now, maybe you can confirm of you are happy with the run of form / results since that Motherwell loss?
-
Your very good at asking questions buy not so good at answering them. We've little choice but to stick with him.
-
Where have I said that I want Clement gone? Do you agree that since the Motherwell loss his record is horrific?
-
We do need to adapt - its simple, but we tend to overcomplicate what is a very simple game.
-
But we are getting further way from them, not closer. There were distinct signs of improvement under Gerrard, European progression and the ability to best Celtic from very early on in his managerial reign. Gerrard appeared to dispise them, he installed that into his players and we dominated them. That's well and truly gone. There is little or no signs of progression under Clement.
-
But once Celtic saw that was our approach, they adjusted and completely overran us. We lack the ability to adapt and change in games.
-
Where have I said that? However, you can't argue that since that loss at home to Motherwell that his record is anything other than horrific.
-
How much longer can we keep saying the same things? Clement has learnt nothing and has been here close on 1 year. We chased Gio and Beale for less, yet Clement is given a relatively easy time. His record since the loss at home to Motherwell is horrific.
