The Summer 2024 Rangers Transfer Window Rumours and Deals - Thread
CammyF replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
Rumours rife that we'll announce our new CEO tomorrow - Andrew McKinlay from Hearrs. 2 questions; 1. Anyone checked his socials? 2. Will he smuggle Shankland in his suitcase? -

I'm not going to say what I really think about Ridvan Yilmaz, but he's just another player we've paid to spend more time on the treatment table than on the pitch. He's the new Kemar Roofe without Roofe's contribution. -

From the paper that should not be quoted ; Fears are growing that full-back Ridvan Yilmaz is set to be out of action for months after being carried off on a stretcher during a bruising Champions League defeat to Dynamo Kyiv. Record Sport understands the Turkish international had to postpone a scan on his damaged thigh because of the extent of the swelling. And that has left the Ibrox medical team concerned that the injury could be worse than first feared - with the potential for it to keep him sidelined until some time in the autumn. -

He is training with the 1st team but must still be weeks away from being match fit. Ridvan will be out for weeks, just look at his injury record. He's never just out for a few days and this is the 2nd time he's been injured kicking the ball. Raskin was 4-6 weeks so still a few weeks away - also not be match fit as injured happened pre-season. -

Its even worse when Ridvan, Raskin, Danilo, Cortes and Igamane are out medium to long-term (as far as we are aware), Balogun also injured (hopefully short-term) and Nsaila being a "long-term" project. Then there's the "situations" with Cantwell, Hagi and Lowry. Ideally Saturday would be an ideal opportunity to rest a few players and if we do we are looking at ; Kelly Devine Davies Nsaila Fraser Dowell McKinnon Wright McCausland NOBODY Matondo Horrendous. -

Is this based on any intel or are you just hoping (like all of us are)? -
We'll probably need to offer them 7,500 for the NY game to ensure its a sell out 😄
-
Rangers seeking talks with the league bosses - sure they'll back Rangers in this dispute and implement their very own rules rather than back Celtics stance.
-
So in conclusion, I was right to say "tin hat on".
-
Naw, I've turned over a new leaf and I'm now a believer. I've been blinded by my cynicism and have missed the glaring and obvious signs that this "process" is going to catapult us to not only domestic but European dominance from now to eternity. I firmly believe that in the next couple of days Bennett will announce our new CEO, DOF and Director of Youth Acadamy. All three will be best in class. He'll also announce that the Ross County game will our last at Hampden, the pricing of the EL 4 game package will reflect the ongoing loyalty of the support and include a discount for this loyalty and the inconvenience of playing a few games at Hampden. IN BENNETT AND CLEMENT I TRUST.

Its not an usual option and it's a valid option that is despite your reply a rather unwelcome one within the Rangers support. Anyway we have a huge game on Saturday ro look forward to. An opportunity to progress in a domestic cup with a full to bursting Hampden buzzing with anticipation of yet another scintillating Rangers performance.
-
Ah, you just read the headline and missed the criticism of Clement.

Cannae be any worse than Dessers, Ridvan, Souttar and Lawrence
-
Or he could play, contribute and get the move he wants / desires.
-
An afterthought from last night - it showed that we should 100% push for foreign referees to be appointed to officiate OF games this season.
-
Youth is the future - Lovelace played as well tonight and had a couple of assists, get him in alongside Lowey and Danilo. Goals aplenty.
-
Lowery scored a brace in the B Teams 3-2 win against Clyde this evening. Get him in the team for Saturday.
-
That the required safety changes haven't been completed, I'd imagine, but I never read the article, so that might be shite.
-
At last, some good news. However, maybe we should have seen if he could play the 10 role before we sacked him 😉
-
Ah well, what a shame - happy never to see a celtic fan inside Ibrox ever again.

Saw him against Celtic B a few years ago and looked a talent. Was either subbed as we went down to 10men or went off injured. -
It's as if the board are trolling us. Maybe Neil Lennon will get the CEO job 😄
-
We've just hired a new head of marketing - go check his social media accounts. His name I'd Blaine McConnell
-
But we didn't and the manager has to take a share of the blame and responsibility for that.
