  1. Nothing to do with this article but I hope it is not McLeish. I remember he bashed Moore for going to the olympics and then played him even although he had just stepped off the plane.
  2. That is a big point. Glasgow is known to have mostly the lowest turnout of voters in the UK with mostly only a turnout of around 50%. That obviously makes it easier to get a high Catholic vote. The name Glasgow also has something to do with it. It means the Green Hollow. Thats it it is just the Rangers from now on I am dropping the Glasgow part that I was so proud of..
  3. Not one I had considered. He is a bit under fire at Feynoord but has an injury list and off form players that would cripple most teams. There was no way he was going to leave Feynoord.
  4. I think you have to take the amount of Protestants and Catholics interested in politics into account. Is that number on a parallel with the total population. If I looked at the SNP figures that was talked about on here then the numbers were also in favour of Catholics. It is funny how 2 of the biggest parties in Scotland have mostly Catholics representing them. Or am I totally wrong on that?
  5. Sad news, Wishing his family all the strength they need.
  6. Is the boy Lyon related to the Hamilton player Lyon who also came through our ranks?
  7. Largest shellfish port in Europe. That would cost me a fortune living there.
  8. Not one for now as he is too inexperienced but watch John van;t schip at PEC Zwolle. They were up to 3rd in the Dutch league until yesterday where they totally outplayed PSV but failed to score then they lost a goal through a keepers blunder with the last kick of the ball. He has them playing fantastic football with hardly a pass that does not have a reason. He spent 7 years in Australia so his English will be good. Definitely one to watch.
  9. I got Lambert mixed up with Burley thinking he been at Hearts. I looked at Hearts managers and from 1980 they have had 32 managers. That is just a few short of 1 per year
  10. As I said at the start it is not per se a Catholic Protestant thing but religion is the belief in a super power and that is certainly what motivated Hitler and fuelled his hate of Jews and Bolsheviks. Hitler was what he wanted to be depending on who he was preaching to.
  11. Is their not a massive pay-off to be paid for big Sam?
  12. The invasion of Poland was just the first step of the fighting war. As I say there was a whole history of things building up to it and the anti-Semitic beliefs of Hitler played a huge role. Why do you think Mein Kampf was banned for sale for many years. I don't mean this as belittling as I am also no professor on the subject but you really need to find out more about Hitler, how he got to power and the build up of the third Reich to understand what really was behind the war. the second world war actually grew from the poverty and feelings that were left from the first world war. That made it easy for Hitler to build a platform. He was actually jailed for trying a coup before he got to power and wrote Mein Kampf in jail. He believed the Jews were trying to take over the world and that is where his anti-Semitic beliefs came from. He wanted to wipe out all Jews and Bolshaviks as he saw them as inferior people and the Aryans as superior people. He believed the taking of Poland was just taking German land back and would lead to a greater Germany. I am afraid anti-Semitic beliefs played a huge part in the war which fell on top of poverty and a feeling that Europe was keeping the Germans Poor.
  13. That is too simple. There was a whole background of things happened before that happened. Hitler writing Mein Kampf and getting into power played a huge role.
  14. I totally agree that power and land play a huge role but I can't agree that the killing of millions of Jews had nothing to do with a religion. While not specifically Catholic or proteststant or Islam it was fuelled by Hitlers belief in an Aryon super race which you can also class as a sect or religion in the proper meaning of the word. A huge sect believing and forcing other people into his\their beliefs.
  15. Yes one guy's ideas. If you read another million books or scripts it will tell you otherwise. Hitler survived the war. 911 was the FBI. Everybody has their theory. It is like statistics. You can bend everything to suit your story.
  16. One thing is certain. The most wars in the world are caused by so called religion.

I possibly did say that and I will say that against any manager. I honestly did not have anything against PC it was just that I could never see where he was taking us. You think we sacked PC too early, I think it was far too late. Why the board trusted him with so much money after last season I will never know. I think after Luxembourg the board threw the money box shut. I think we can thank them for that even although the damage has been done.
  18. Was bringing in a football related cake a breach of the rules?
  19. The punishment is indeed harsh. I doubt if she will accept it if she loses her appeal. The Police will have lost a good employee.
  20. If they do come I hope they get on before the 87th minute. If you are chasing a goal(or 2) using up valuable time in the 87th minute is not the answer.
  21. I agree that things are getting more difficult as to what you can or can't say but there are jobs that have always had a certain amount of responsibility on behaviour and a senior Police officer falls into that category.
  22. You can't and we won't normally delete accounts so you can always get back on if you change your mind. Have a few days to cool down it often helps.
  23. My answer was in general mate and not really aimed at you
  24. I think they could get a new board easy enough that is not the problem. The problem would be, who is going to finance the running of the club without any bank support. In that sense it is an unhealthy relationship because the Parks and King have a power grip. Whoever signs the checks has the power it is as easy as that.
