No chance of it happening and it has been discussed in the other thread. The latest is that McInnes will be appointed later today.

Son of former Rangers defender becomes youngest ever Wigan Athletic player JENSEN Weir, son of former Rangers and Scotland defender David, has become Wigan Athletic's youngest ever player. The 15-year-old midfielder came off the bench during the Latics' 4-0 defeat to Accrington Stanley in the Checkatrade Trophy on Tuesday. Wigan named a youthful side for the cup clash, with three players making their senior debuts. And Weir set a new club record when he replaced Will McGuffie with 21 minutes remaining, making his first team bow aged 15 years and 280 days. The midfielder captains Scotland's Under-16 side and featured in the Victory Shield for his country last month. And youth coach Nick Chadwick was impressed with the youngster, telling Wigan Today: “Jensen’s a terrific talent, and the fact he was out there shows how much we think of him. “He’s a level-headed boy, from a good family, and he’s earned his opportunity. “He’s been terrific for us at Under-18 level, and he’s been terrific when he’s captained Scotland at Under-16 level. “There’s some terrific work going on with Jensen, and the rest of the Under-16s at Christopher Park. “The coaches there will be proud of him and I’m sure his family will be as well.” http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/news/15648574.Son_of_former_Rangers_defender_becomes_youngest_ever_Wigan_Athletic_player/

Scotland call ups a 'laughing stock', says Kris Boyd

I have no idea why Fletcher got near the Scottish team. He is not hopeless but also not very good. -
I sincerely doubt Gio will leave Feynoord for Rangers unless he is sacked. He is under some pressure but I doubt he will be sacked just yet.
-
Holt has certainly improved the team. I am not sure he is good enough to take us up to be Champions and European level but he should be instrumental in getting us 2nd place this season. That is unless some players come in in January to get us fighting with the tims. That 3 mill for Pena could have got us a player that could make a difference. Unfortunately I doubt Pena will.

Even although he is not scoring he is still our best player. His work for the team is second to none. He needs to be told he is doing great and the goals will come again. Don't forget he also has almost a season played already. It was always going to be the case in the amount of games he has played already.

Stevie Aitken: I gave Ross McCrorie his debut at Dumbarton...
pete replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I am not saying I think Wilson is now the new saviour. When he plays bad I will say it, but if he is good I will also say it. I am not out to pull any Rangers player or manager down for the hell of it. With Pedro I just never seen any line where I thought that the players were reacting to his methods. I honestly wish he had been a success as he was a fantastic person. I also think I had more critique on Kiernan than Wilson and I do not know how much of Wilsons uncertainty came from playing with Kiernan. I just never saw a top Football player in Kiernan. I have not seen much from Alves at Rangers that mirrors the success that he seems to have had everywhere else. That can also be because he has to get used to his pairing or Scottish football or maybe his age is catching up with him. Time will tell. I don't think there has been a Rangers player or manager that I have not written negative things about because I don't think there is any player in the world that does not do negative things. If Wilson keeps playing as he is then it will be hard for any manager to drop him and I don't think Alves has done enough to guarantee himself a secured starting place. His time for me starts with Rangers. I don't give a shit what he has done in the past for other clubs. -
I have said before and I still honestly believe that all the players should have a few hours training a week from a sprinting coach. Learning to sprint properly would make a big difference to the speed of the team.

He was banned for the first game and on the bench for the second. Either Mutry rested him or he is rewarding Wilson and MÇrorie and Alvis will have to fight for his place back in the team. Let's face it. He has not been great. -
All you have to look at is see how well Windass played and you will get all different stories

A high number of Dutch players have called off so it will be like a Dutch reserve team. -
James MacLean would not have been in the match day squad if I was his manager.

Keeper Mainz takes his eye off the ball and kicks the penalty spot.

The Scottish Dennis Law .

Pedro? He was mostly injured under Warburton IIRR. Personally I don't think any of the players knew what they were doing under Pedro.

I have no idea what contacts David Edgar has at the club but he stated last week on his pod that the board were taken aback by the candidates that had put their hats in the ring and decided to put the brakes on making a decision. He said McInnes still had a good chance but was not now the certainty that he was.

I hope you left a donation for him Boabie:D
-
Totally true but that is a gamble with every manager.
-
I am not promoting him for the Rangers job but he is 42 years old. If he wants to be a manager then I would say it is time he did something about it
-
Mutry is the smallest gamble we have. You could give him this season and it would just cost a bit higher wage. I doubt we will be buying many players in January so we could see what he does. Just to the winter pause to start with is also an option.

GUSTAVO Poyet is believed to be latest high-profile manager to express an interest in becoming manager of Rangers. The 49-year-old Uruguayan, who managed in the Barclays Premier League with Sunderland and won the League One title with Brighton and Hove Albion, is out of work following his resignation from Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua six weeks ago, and is thought to have had his name put forward to director of football Mark Allen as a potential replacement for Pedro Caixinha at Ibrox. He is now waiting to hear whether the Govan side will take the application further, with further moves to fill the position set to take place during the international break. After the failed Caixinha experiment, the club are thought to be keen to opt for a British manager, with Derek McInnes, of Aberdeen, still thought to be the clear front runner for the post. While the likes of Alex McLeish could yet come into contention, and perhaps even Alan Pardew, Rangers will be keen to leave no stone unturned and the link with Poyet is an intriguing one. After spending seven illustrious years as a player at Chelsea and Tottenham, he then spent six years with decent success as a manager in England. Recent years have also seen him spend time in Greek football at AEK Athens, in La Liga with Real Betis and Shanghai, where he worked with the likes of Carlos Tevez and Demba Ba. The father of Diego, the one-time West Ham prodigy who the club were linked with back in the days of Mark Warburton, Poyet’s ability to work with British players and Latin ones such as Alfredo Morelos, Carlos Pena, and Eduardo Herrera may hold some appeal for the Ibrox board. It was reported last week that Michel Preud’homme, the former Standard Liege, FC Twente and Club Bruges manager, had also expressed interest in the position.
