Alastair Johnston: Incoming Ibrox boss can bring out the best in Rangers...

McKay - Dacio probably better than Candeias Waghorn better than Hererra -
Okay I get it now.

They've all been Dick's:D

I don't see a youth coach having that information to be honest. If he does then the board want to tighten up on their security.

I would hate a moaner as captain and Miller is a moaner. I would end up telling him to go f*** himself and moan at his wife when he gets home. -
A bowling Alley has more chance of the job.

Personally I think we let some better players go than we brought in. -

I really like Mutry. The difficulty with giving him any time in the job to judge him though is that there is a window coming up and they will want to give a new manager his intake in that. The DOF will probably also have a say in who comes in I would imagine. I liked the answer to the question: "Do you have a view on the way forward for Rangers" Answer. "Not a public one" I liked that. -
Being said by some on FF that the agreement with Pedro was put in place before the Killie game and that a positive result would not have helped him anyway. One guy did report the day before seeing King and Pedro in a restaurant together so it may be true although they could just have been having a friendly bite.
-
Totally agree. He did a dirty on King if what is said is true so not much chance King will be knocking on his door.

Big Lafferty will have his elbow in Cardoso's face as soon as possible. He will wear a mask if he plays but it still hurts if hit. -

Josh Windass and Candeias are not going to win you any Physical battles I am afraid. I hope Walker plays as bad as he did against Hibs. He was terrible. -
For these 2 photo's alone he should be banned.
-
Neither was Alvez.
-
They say he and his family are all Rangers supporters but he did play for them for a short time. He seemingly still supports Rangers though. Just read that I personally have no idea.

Mutry now has a completely different assignment as he had the last time. The last time he just had to stop the rot. Now he has to get us winning and fight for second place. We will see what he has in his locker as a manager. -
The only person i can see leaving from his will and not a new managers is Pena. I don't see Cardoso Candeias or Alves leaving for the manager. I may be wrong.
-
I am a critic of jack but i think he is a good player and should certainly not be kicked out. He does however need to be coached to be more forward thinking imo.
-
Warburton was certainly not shiny clean either in the whole episode.

I really don't know if he is my choice but to be fair to him he was brought in to change the whole future culture of the club. At Inter he got a squad of many 30+ers that were not willing to change. At CP he got a lot of long ball punters that he had to\wanted to turn into the passing game footballers. If you get De Boer you have to accept that he will be playing the passing ball retention game. He and we have to look if we have the players to realise that. If not the job is not for him or he needs time and money to do it. No matter who comes in losing to clubs with a fraction of the budget as we have done on a regular basis is not an option.
-
The young manager of Utrecht Erik ten Hag will be a top trainer in the future and maybe worth a punt. Henk ten Cate has a lot of experience with top clubs. Bert van Marwijk a no brainer I would get him tomorrow but probably not enough money. Gertjan Verbeek would certainly have us a lot fitter than we are but has not been a great success of late. Fred Rutten. Either Rutten or Verbeek will be taking over FC Twenthe if the DOF Jan ter Halst lets them manage the team without his interference. Danny Blind would probably jump at a chance like Rangers. Blind + Numan? I have a soft spot for Ron Jans he had a lot of success with PEC Zwolle with hardly any budget and John van Schip is doing great with PEC at the moment although he is far too inexperienced for a club like Rangers. No chance GIO would leave Feynoord so not worth mentioning That is about it It for me I think. As I said in another thread I will be shocked if Koeman is not named as the Dutch coach in the near future. PS I forgot De Boer and I think Rangers will go for him.

Just to add if you are a manager sitting at home. Do you remain out of work thinking you are worth a million and waiting for a club to pay you that or do you get back into work for the half of it and wait from a working position? I doubt if there is any manager takes a job on thinking he is going to fail so most will fancy a shot at toppling the tims.
-
Exactly he gave the ref a decision to make. The ref obviously didn't see the incident as he was busy with the penalty but because of the scuffle with all the players he decided to give both a yellow. The incident was obviously in the 4th officials normal path of vision to the penalty spot and he saw the coming together and then the dying swan act. He obviously judged Jack had hit Broadfoot and informed the referee. The referee then gave red on that information.

A red card is given a 1 match automatic ban but you still have to face the beaks and your real punishment will be dealt out. It could be that they are happy that 1 match is enough but they can also extend it for more matches. I think Suarez had 8 matches for biting someone's ear. I doubt if a kick-out such as Alves did would ever just be 1 game. If he appeals and loses it is possible they will extend it to 3 games because he didn't accept 2.

Why don't we just close the gates? i have never read such negativity in my life. There are more managers out of work than in work. Outside the top clubs and maybe the EPL do you really believe that managers are earning far more than Rangers have been paying. No we are not going to get Pep Guardiola but there are plenty of good managers out there for our price. Lets get one thing straight. Any manager comes with a risk unless we give him hundreds of millions and that is not going to happen. Peter Bosz was managing a small local team up to a few seasons ago and now he is managing Dortmund. You have to also remember that some managers would love the challenge of getting us back to the top.
