Scottish Cup Final: Bans for Hibs fans after pitch invasion

I disagree Rangers should be demanding this but the SFA and Police should be and numbers and names should be transparent to all clubs so as they cannot attend any away games. -
Rangers & Celtic Battle For Sunderland's Graham? The Sunderland Echo reports Rangers and Celtic are set for 'battle' again this summer with Danny Graham of interest to both clubs. Graham's contract with Sunderland expires this summer so he'll become a free agent, both Rangers and Celtic have been linked along with Wigan, Preston and Birmingham so he's got 'options' it would appear? Blackburn had him on loan to end last season, with him scoring seven-goals in his 18-matches for the Championship club but a move to Ewood Park on a permanent basis seems less likely due to his wage demands and a change of boss. With the 30-year-old working with both Mark Warburton, when he was at Watford, and Celtic's new boss Brendan Rodgers, when he was at Swansea, in the past the Old Firm clubs will feel luring him to Scotland is a strong possibility. He's proven in the past, with his Blackburn time impressive, although his strike rate of just one-goal in 42-matches for Sunderland is poor in comparison with his most prolific time with the Swansea with that the benchmark we'll hope he achieved....as long as he ends up at Ibrox and not Celtic Park!

Physio's have definitely improved since the baldy old guy's of old.

I can't remember enough of him. Getting back on track. On FF they are saying Dom Ball is almost signed on a permanent deal. Not sure of the source though.
-
Some are saying he was screwing the Physiotherapist. I suppose you always get these stories though.

Danny McGrain and Sandy Jardine for me. I think all this should be on the Numan thread.

And many from Celtic.

Yes especially with the wife. -
I would imagine most players are on holiday now as Warburton is so it will probably be quiet for a few weeks. Some players may even be going to the Euro's or is that too much of a want.

He is a scout for AZ so I guess he is back in Holland but he did indeed live in Hamilton. This is just an assumption and not knowledge.

Are Protestants allowed to go to Catholic schools? May sound a stupid question but they are in Holland. I will say though that the catholic schools in Holland are just ordinary schools with no religious teachings. -
I sat next to him and his wife on an Easy Jet flight to Amsterdam. Bert Konterman and his wife sat in the seats in front. I said I was surprised that he was not on a first class KLM flight. He said "Why should I pay a fortune for a 1 hour flight." As he sat in the aisle seat and I had the window seat I mostly talked to his wife next to me as he signed autographs. I never mentioned I was a Rangers supporter until she noticed the RFC pendant around my neck. Nice people.

Firstly John you a very bitter person because the most successful club in the world refused to sign you. Secondly Scott Brown not shaking in his boots? Brown couldn't get within 5 yards of a Rangers player at Hampden. Just one thing. I hope you and Rogers stay loyal to Brown as that will mean happy days for Rangers.

Moonlighter, I read Tom Vallance voted for the name Rangers, do you have any idea if any other names were considered or voted on?

RANGERS fans have demanded the resignation of Hibs chairman Rod Petrie from the SFA board. Ibrox fans have united under a new supporters group, Club 1872, and its first move has been a vigorous defence of its members in the aftermath of the Scottish Cup final. Fans have vowed to work closely with Rangers, the SFA and Police Scotland after gathering witness statements into the chaos that followed the 3-2 victory for Hibs. Mark Warburton’s players and backroom staff were attacked by Hibs fans who invaded the pitch and there is continued anger at the failure of Petrie to apologise for the action of his supporters. A Club 1872 spokesman said: “We call on the Scottish FA to request the immediate resignation of Hibernian chairman and SFA vice president, Rod Petrie from the SFA board. “His comments immediately following the game, and since, have been an absolute disgrace. How can Mr Petrie justify describing the violent acts of his supporters as ‘exuberance’? READ: Cops claim mob rule outside Hampden stopped them getting in to deal with battling Rangers and Hibs fans “How can he justify the lack of any apology to Rangers for the attacks on our players? We welcome the announcement by the SFA of an independent enquiry but Mr Petrie’s comments are entirely at odds with their approach. “Had it not been for the match officials and Rangers own security staff, the assaults on our players could have been considerably worse and they have our heartfelt thanks for their actions. “Having taken time to consider all the facts, our anger over the treatment of our players and supporters has, if anything, increased. Tony Nicoletti image: http://i3.dailyrecord.co.uk/incoming/article8035572.ece/ALTERNATES/s615b/JS90677036.jpg Too late: Police only contained fans after fighting broke out. “We are in receipt of a large number of accounts from supporters with young children, disabled supporters and others who witnessed our players being assaulted, fellow supporters being threatened, spat on and abused and widespread disorder yards from where they were seated. “It is absolutely clear from these accounts that many Rangers supporters feared that Hibernian fans were going to enter the Rangers sections of the stands. “The narrative being constructed by some - that hundreds of Hibernian fans who charged straight to the Rangers end of Hampden were intent on doing anything other than violently confronting Rangers supporters - is absolutely absurd. “It is clear that for several minutes there was a breakdown of security procedures in the stadium. We are keen to assist Police Scotland and the SFA’s independent enquiry in any way we can to discover why that was and will forward all relevant information to them. “It is very important that they understand how the events of Saturday unfolded from the perspective of our supporters". Rangers fans have even claimed they have become the whipping boys of Scottish football and demanded an end to their “dehumanisation”. The spokeman added: “A climate is being created within Scottish football, and Scotland as a whole, where Rangers supporters, staff and anyone connected with the club are seen as fair game by an unpleasant and active minority who attach themselves to several Scottish football clubs. “The bile generated by these people, which has its root in social media but has moved into areas of the mainstream media and politics, is now translating into acts of violence. “The bile, hatred and resulting violence shown towards Rangers needs to stop before someone is more seriously hurt. “Only by standing together can Rangers supporters hope to redress the balance of how we are currently treated. The dehumanisation of the Rangers support must stop now.” Read more at http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-fan-group-demand-resignation-8058360#O8ZbMeobTE07w4U7.99

Of course if 20.000 people are trying to leave the stadium roads and gateways are going to be blocked. that people would put their kids wilfully in the way of the police sounds absolute tripe. They came from a mile away ffs. This is a stitch-up.
