The support for Murray has shrunk over the years on here. Murray was the man signing the cheque's not the bank. Stripping Rangers of the catering and other assets to his own companies. God knows how many other skeletons will come out of the cupboards. I for one am praying he is going.

You are right Frankie but nobody is going to change anything by keeping shouting from the other side of the street. If anyone really wants to change anything then they need to put themselves in a position to do it.

I wouldnt disagree that the support ned to look at what we could and should have done. A couple of questions for you though MF. 1, Was the support at one time more united and purposeful? you say that there was a specific point where it became practice to allow the board to run the club and for the rest to be customers. When was this? being youngish all I know is the Rangers of my lifetime and what I have read. What I have read is basically that things now are as they ever were, with the internet being the only real difference (allowing those that want it a platform of enlightenment) 2, How can the trust have failed the support? They can fail what you yourself call a tiny membership, but if you are not part of it, they dont speak on your behalf and therefore cannot fail you. If you want representation then you cant sit and wait until something comes along that you feel comfortable with. Well, you can, but you could be in for a long long wait. I use 'you' to describe the wider support and I understand well enough that there are some who were in the trust who no longer are. I wouldnt begin to say that they were not people who were let down, clearly they were. I dont know if you fit into that group or not either. All just Helium. Shouting from the rooftop. Not open to discussion. I can't be bothered checking through the whole site for other examples but they are there. As you quote yourself: " somewhere in there is the answer you're looking for"

Agreed it is the people that can blow them up that we really need. I have never told you what to post but when the people who you are always attacking, give you an answer you disappear, probably stuck on the ceiling.

MF I honestly believe You along with others can make a difference. You really do have to learn to debate though and not just give your opinion and criticise and then disappear.

I have been visiting my wife in Hospital the last few weeks. looking up to the ceiling I saw a couple of those expensive balloons probably filled with helium. I would imagine a child had been given them to give to a patient and let it go. Every time I walked past I thought there is MF full of gas but going no where.
  9. Agree but jumping ship when the tap ran dry is Dick Advocaat.
  10. I disagree that the Sky money was immaterial. it may not have saved us from our present position but the loss of the Sky money from 48 to the beeb 8 million was a big blow to all clubs.
  11. I think I said that both were to blame. and I stand by that. I think Murray knew he was running up debt but I do not think he realised what would happen if they lost the Sky money.
  12. Craig, It is not just his wage. Advocaat does rate himself the best coach in the world but he needs money to do that. If he has no money to spend he is for the off.

I think he probably realised it earlier but just held back. There in probably lies the problem in the whole situation the people with the most criticism have the least interest to get involved to change things.
  14. Roughly the same as I am saying. My information is obviously based on what is printed in the Dutch media as I don't know him personally. My only personal problem\experience with him was that in a pre season game against an amateur club that pays a fortune to play against Rangers, instead of allowing the players into the bar\canteen to sign a few autographs they were pushed onto the bus and disappeared into the night. One small kid that had been promised an autograph of the players later was pretty upset. I gave him my Rangers scarf and offered my excuses. This is not the reason I dislike him his mercenary money sucking life is why I dislike him and that is open for everyone to see.

    Pulling together

Surely it cannot be possible that all fails because one or two people are pulling in a different direction even if they do have a big influence on the biggest websites. Surely not everyone on these websites are puppets. Rangers supporters need to unite and that is obvious. We need a leading group to do it and not necessarily a leading person. It is time for the top guys from all supporters groups and websites to get together and start uniting the support.

Sorry I made it into a thread,I should have sent you a PM. Never thought at the time. Excuses.
  17. The money had probably dried up by then so there was no chance of Advocaat ever signing it.
  18. The money had probably dried up by then so there was no chance of Advocaat ever signing it.
  19. Lets not separate these two issue. It is not one or the other it is both. SDM was naive and Dick Advocaat is a money grabbing mercenary who has broken contracts, sneaked out of Hotel rooms and countries to other countries who made him a better offer. As soon as the money at Ibrox dried up he was for the off. He signed a contract with Belgium to manage their international team. Then he dropped them like a ton of bricks for the big money of Russia after Belgium had bent over backwards to let him manage AZ while under contract to Belgium. I would have had respect for Advocaat if he had stayed on to manage Rangers after the money had dried up. I have totally no respect for Dick Advocaat. In fact I hope his next shite is a hedgehog walking backwards. Dick Advocaat and Murray were a duo of black widows for Rangers football club. You can't blame one without blaming the other.
  20. Was Ellis not there trying to get investors when he tried to take over?
  21. The BBC are always about 3 weeks behind with any news so I wouldn't take that for gospel. The British Broadcasting Catholics are probably praying it isn't agreed.
  22. It can only be King or Douglas Park and the other Murray I would Imagine.
  23. I doubt Murray will take the chance of Whyte walking away by talking to third parties. Why would they leave it so late?

    Pulling together

It would really be great to get all our supporters fighting in one direction. The initial response to setting the standards was immense but unfortunately it would seem to me that the flag was put in the hands of people who had nothing to do with it and therefore it died a death. Updating it and adding idea's from other sites and then handing it to a new owner would be a great idea in my eyes. It would also let us see how much the new owner respects idea's from the fans. For those who have not seen setting the standards. http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/archived/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=775&Itemid=31
