  1. Lets face it JJB could have done much more to sell our merchandise it is no wonder they are nearly going bust. I think that we can make a big gain in merchandising if we make strips that are also fashion items and easy to sell abroad. Whether we like it or not the Rangers top looks like one of millions while the green and grey hoops looks very original. That is why they sell far more shirts on the continent in my opinion.
  2. It depends on if the takeover goes through or not. If it doesn't then it may be: Frankie BD Mainflyer Gazza Pete Gisabeer super-ally zappa Craig Gribz Ian1964 Manager: Ibrahim Hemdani Not mentioned don't worry this lot probably won't last 10 minutes.
  3. Probably won't fit on the strip then.
  4. I just wonder how many skeletons a new owner is going to find once he or she takes over I think Murray will have a few buried somewhere.
  5. I think mucking up the original Sky deal had a greater influence than the Kaunas game slipping from a deal of 48mill to 8mill that Scottish football got from the BBC was a crushing blow imo.
  6. Yes but if you opened the streams up to everyone who takes out a membership including the UK you could reimburse a lot of the money you would lose from making it a better deal. I take it the deal went in at the start of the season so really everyone could start when taking membership as your current deal will be almost done.
  7. Do you work for their advertising team Danny?
  8. So there are two dooms day scenario's now. 1. The deal doesn't go through and we are back to square 1 with the bank pulling in more strings. 2. Whyte takes over and we are left with a Manu v Glazier scenario with the debt mounting again. Lets hope that Whyte does have the cash to make the club healthy again but I am afraid there is too much smoke appearing for there to be no fire.
  9. Why would he go through all the bother of doing all the work and as i have read, spent hundreds of thousands of pounds, to get as far as the due diligence then get embarrassed at the end up by not having the cash to do it? Something does not add up if that is the case.
  10. AS far as I know FIFA or UEFA have changed the rules and all clubs had 3 years to get their debt down to a limit consistent with their income.
  11. From what I have seen of Little I would say yes Bartley and Wilson were far better.
  12. I made that point last year when the fans takeover begun and said I would be happy to invest money but I would then like to get free streams of the games included in the deal. Season ticket holders could possibly get a slight reduction in the price of their ST and also the away games streamed.
  13. Just our luck to be getting some players fit again and then to lose 2 of our better players from the central defence. As has been said i also hope to have Bartley back next season and as a Rangers player and not an Arsenal player.
  14. The thing that worries me about Whyte is that he just seems to have sprung out of the blue with Ellis hanging on to his shirt tail. He was never mentioned on any of the rich Rangers supporters capable of taking over lists. I honestly think that the development of the Ibrox surrounding area is the big carrot dangling in front of them otherwise I can't see what Ellis has to offer or why he seems to be getting 25% for investing hee haw. I find that very strange and to be honest I don't trust Ellis as far as I could throw him.
  15. The Glaziers took over Man U without paying what they should have paid.
  16. Law of averages make it a safe bet then.
  17. Have you still got hair? I thought you would have pulled it all out by now. Do the RST also have to Ratify the deal?
  18. This is actually becoming a pretty dangerous subject that could possibly ignite the IRA and UVF\UDA feud again. It maybe sound over dramatic but if Rangers supporters did start singing para-military songs because they are seen to be justified then there are always people willing to take things to the next level and of course there is still a smouldering mass just under the surface in NI. Songs of hate have to be prevented on both sides of the divide and it has to become clear what is and what isn't a song of hate.
  19. As long as you don't finish with FTP as that is again religious.
  20. As I said yesterday somebody somewhere is telling porkies. While I also think the ball lies at Whyte an Murray's feet, although I still would not write the bank off yet. They are stating that the sale of Rangers has nothing to do with them and are probably right in that, but there is no mention of the payment of debts back to Lloyds and that seems to be the sticking point. While there may be nothing on face value stopping the deal, if someone is squeezing your balls it is difficult to nod yes when they are asking you to say no.
  21. The only value that I can see of Ellis is that the whole deal is based on the redevelopment of the area. If they do buy then all the stories of casino's and hotels will start again.
  22. I actually doubt that as he could have walked away at any time and I also think Murray would have been shouting that through the grapevines telling everyone that whyte was not the right man for the job.
  23. I don't think Whyte is allowed to say anything or he will be guilty of breaking stock-market codes.
  24. Unless it is David Murray that is holding things up and holding out for more money. Someone somewhere is telling porky pies.
