The only thing I can think of that they may be holding off for. is to try and get money back for the MIH debt via Rangers otherwise I have no idea what they are playing at.- 41 replies

He seemingly does have a contract until 2014. He must have done that after the January window as Twente were selling him to cash in before his contract ran out. He is 30 years old and with a contract he will be too expensive for his age.

Strathclyde Police officer guilty over pro-IRA chanting
pete replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
I agree with you but he will be asked to resign in a nice sort of a way which doesn't leave him a difficult choice -
No thanks not now. 5 years ago it would have been a good move but not now. We were linked to Theo Jansen from FC.Twente in the winter window. That would be a great signing and not be a great deal of money as his contract is nearing it's end.

When he is on his game he is a game changing player so definitely worth trying to get him for another year. Man City may try to sell him to the highest bidder though and if we can afford him, well enough said about that.

To be honest it is only a problem because they are making it a problem. For most people it is just winding others up with a chant. On Monday morning or even after the match we all go back to work with our catholic\Celtic supporting colleagues and friends and laugh about the whole thing. Yes there are people possibly bigots who take things serious but for most it is just a wind up. Will playing a football game behind closed doors help the problem in Scotland? No chance! It is in the nature of man all over the world to be linked to a tribe. Why they think Scotland is different beats me.

Interesting changes at Lloyds - according to Mr Leggat
pete replied to maineflyer's topic in Rangers Chat
Sorry I think that is the most bullshit story that exists. If a firm or bank take another bank or firm over then they take on their problems as well -
Interesting changes at Lloyds - according to Mr Leggat
pete replied to maineflyer's topic in Rangers Chat
Yes of course it will have an effect imo. I don't think that Lloyds really want to lose Rangers as a customer and that is what I find so crazy about the whole show. I fear there were attempts to ruin Rangers by tims in a position to do it. -
I don't know if he is the worst ref ever so I can't judge it as the truth but he certainly had a bad day at the office.

Gav maybe it is time that someone at Ibrox does open their mouth although I agree with you it is unfortunate that it is Diouf as he does not have the same purchase as a Walter Smith.
-
I very much doubt it. we have too much cover for CH. How long is Bartley out for, does anyone know?
-
Or they may possibly change a few things to water it down and make it their own and then claim an exclusive.

It is not even just British fans. When I go with the Dortmund supporters to Dortmund games they sing a song about ripping the stomach out of Shalke supporters or something to that effect.

Great piece of writing Frankie you really leave some well known journalists in your wake.

Super cooper. RIP Davy.

Yes she really looks to be putting on a face while being devastated. Anyone know who she is? Regan's wife or something like that?
-
Yes he probably should have but then we could not have taken the quick free kick, so another good decision by the ref. He could have given it after the goal but how many Refs do that.

Just goes to show as well that you shouldn't buy your walkie talkies from the Asda.

Lex Immers is in trouble in Holland for encouraging the crowd in the supporters lounge to sing we are going on a Jew hunt after Ado den Haag beat Ajax on Sunday. Immers' team-mate Charlton Vicento, and manager John van den Brom and assistant-manager Maurice Steijn are also in trouble for joining in. Shouts of Cancer Ajax and Hamas Hamas jews to the gas were also part of the repertoire. http://www.zie.nl/video/sport/ADO-speler-Immers-We-gaan-op-jodenjacht/m1gz1hrf9g1t

Not Rangers news but the fact fact that other football associations are also starting to clamp down certain songs is interesting.

Added my name if anyone disagrees then let me know.

Look at the woman behind Diouf she looks like she thinks I have to look happy but i am so pissed off. The Dutch have a saying She is laughing like a farmer with toothache which looks like she is doing. I may be wrong.

Unfortunately when the players come to sign new contracts it is about the money. Slowly the bubble is bursting though with most teams realising that they have to live within their means. With Karin Murphy winning the first leg of her European court battle against Sky the bubble may really burst also for the top league's. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/feb/03/pub-landlady-premier-league-television-rights
