  1. Is it disgusting because it's the BBC and it's all lies, or disgusting because it's claiming we were basically breaking the law?
  2. No it wasn't. The point was you justified Zagreb's failure in the CL based on their opponents. And yet, with a similarly strong group, a wee team like us managed 7 points - Zagreb managed none. So, losing to a team like Zagreb hardly adds credibility to Malmo at all.
  3. Closest I'll ever see to you backing down Cal
  4. Ok, yes, he can play - but given he systematically set about rupturing Jelavic, I can't exactly take too kindly to the little fucker.
  5. Erm, in a group involving Barca, Lyon and VFB we managed 7 points! So no, I didn't forget the group.

  7. The clause is that before the split, Sky get exclusive coverage of 2 home Rangers games and 2 Celtic home games. Naturally, the home games they choose are the OF games. My understanding is the clause isn't explicit about OF matches, but about Rangers and Celtic home games. Because, as we know, all live matches before the split involving the OF are away games. Admittedly, this has the same result, without us in the SPL the contract is void. Presumably. Problem is the Sky/ESPN boycott has absolutely zero bearing on this contract - the only time anything can happen to affect anything is if Rangers are not in the SPL - and the boycotts are in no way related to affecting that. They're all about hurting the profits of SFA sponsors and the TV deal.
  8. I'm moving on. I think we are on different planets regarding this particular debate. I'll stick with mine, the view's clearer
  9. I can almost see the Union Flag at full mast fluttering behind you Pete
  10. The club is endorsing the fan action. Jardine was part of the demo and Ally's supported protests. If the club agrees with the fans, it doesn't seem unreasonable to think it might consider action of its own. Furthermore, going to CAS would hurt the SFA, and the club are considering that. Do you disagree with that action?
  11. I've never heard a bad word said about his punditry by anyone quite honestly. btw, he was a Rangers fan as a boy. Right, and Craig Beattie was a Rangers fan growing up but went onto play for Celtic. What the biddy hell is your point? No, you named a group of people you've decided are tims. The only genuine tims there were Walker, Nicholas, and Martin. Davie Provan was a Rangers fan as a boy, did you know that? Went onto play for...CELTIC! The others are completely contentious at best and downright paranoia at worst. If you'd seen my blogs recently you'd know fine I've condemned the SFA in particular for their anti Rangers agenda. But your posts on this subject are purely prejudicial without any basis in fact or reality.
  12. What do you base that assertion on? That it's not fair game. Take a look around you m8 - we're being hammered for everything anyway. Right, if you're calling my proposals 'throwing the dummy out' then pardon my French but what the fuck was the demo, and all the sponsorship boycotts and the potential attendance boycott if not the same ruddy thing?
  13. Sounds to me like you're more or less absolving him of responsibility. End of the queue my arse! That miss made all the difference.
  14. Zagreb scored 0 points in the CL. We lost to a side who lost to a side who didn't manage a single point in the group stage - scored 3 times and conceded 22. That's worse than we have ever done at that level. This is not a thing to be proud of in any way Zaps. PS: Croatian football is another poor league. Only 6 players in the Croatian league actually exist at squad level in the national side, and outwith Simunic their caps total 14. But you know what's damning? Against such dross, we probably would have struggled, you're right.
  15. I am with you entirely, taking action against those who have kicked us is completely justified. My argument is the action we're choosing isn't going actually have the effect we want. To do real damage to the SFA requires a different strategy. All the boycotts are doing is losing us out on services. Probably right.
  16. If the SFA can break legal rules in sanctioning us, looks like it's fair game for us too.
  17. But the SPL won't relegate us. You know this and I know this. They're not stupid enough to do it. They're trying to crush us as much as they can without actually killing their own income. Doesn't matter if there's a contract in place. Contracts in business are not the nonsense they are in football players. They actually mean something.
  18. So, his miss had no bearing on anything. That's what you're saying?
  19. Let's see, Vicky Gomersall, Hayley McQueen, Millie Clode...aye no' bad right enough.
  20. Ok, this sounds like something from the dark side tbh. Davie Provan has been praised far and wide by our own supporters for his fairness and balanced punditry. And McLaughlin works for the BBC for God's sake. I remember when Sky Sports got the coverage originally from the shards of Setanta, and every bear to a man was delighted at this neutral organisation getting the new coverage after Setanta's biased nonsense. Guess what, now some supporters have decided that Sky are as bad as Setanta were! This being the channel which employs a former Rangers player as its main pundit for Scottish matches, Neil McCann, plus a former Rangers player as its main pundit on ESPN - Hateley. I think sometimes people see anti Rangers' agendas when there really is not one at all.
  21. You're making a point, yes, but not in any way affecting the SFA. And that is surely the purpose? This boycotting is supposed to directly hurt the SFA, but it just isn't - not while legal contracts are in place. The only way to hit them directly is by withdrawing our top stars from Brazil qualification, and by withdrawing from the Scottish Cup. Boycotting their sponsors is futile.
  22. It's a crazy course of action. The contract doesn't expire till 2017 so Sky and ESPN are not going to be able to pull out on their deal even if thousands unsubscribe from their channels. I understand why folk are doing it, but all you're doing is affecting said organisations' profits - it won't affect the SFA or the SPL in the slightest. Unless there's a get out clause, and I doubt it. But no, not had a call, mainly because I'm on Virgin Media anyway
  23. Yes, but but for a horrible Jelavic miss we'd have got through to the next round. He was as much to blame as indiscipline and tactics.
  24. All fair comment but you also have to account for pedigree, average, and history. In Real's case Bayern are about at their level. So Bayern making the final wasn't that shocking. Chelsea was a surprise, sort of, but only in the eyes of those who haven't noticed how many sides had started to overcome Barca. Lyon had a dreadful season last year, and Apoel had a sensation CL run - that one was on the cards. As for Bilbao, Utd were quite agonising in Europe all season and Bilbao made the EL final. All the conquerers here had credibility and either were on amazing runs, or made finals. How did Malmo and Maribor fare after beating us?
  25. Rangersfamily alive and well! Yer arse! The past few months, demo aside, have shown #rangersfamily is just a way to get more followers on Twitter.
