Well that's me told I'll give you this Frankie, you get to the point better than Cal does!
-
Sorry Cal, until you post your opinion as such, rather than painting it as factual, it's hard to rebut. One small example: You seriously telling me this is just you illustrating your opinion? You've stated this as a categorical fact - no grey area. And your posts are full of it - it's hard to know where your opinion starts and ends. Hence it is difficult to reply to. And given you're basically throwing my argument back at me and screaming that 'you're using conjecture too - extreme views at that' - it makes debate slightly tricky.

I wasn't having a go at you bud, you're spot on. The point is that demo recently, as great though it was, didn't change a bloody thing regarding the factions in the Rangers support. We played happy families for a while, now normal service is resumed and splits, egos, and agendas return to the table.
-
For once I am in half agreement with FF. Newco. But neither TBK/BK bid nor the Miller bid appear to be particularly good ones.
-
After all the unity we've shown recently, it's good to see all the organisations continuing to work together for the good of the club. /sarcasm.

Again. With that betting ad talking about Gregos Traitorelli who 'just bet against his own team, feel a bit dirty Paddy', and ended up living a new life and supporting Athletico Kebab, has anyone here ever bet against Rangers?

I disagree. The Big Tax Case is based on HMRC claiming we evaded tax. They have no categorical proof of this, unless there's something we don't know about. Hence I believe the case could have been settled quietly, potentially out of court. I don't agree at all with your claim about Whyte's function. And I do like how you're pretty much portraying him as nigh-on benevolent. Eh, no, we just didn't care. Not a single person raised any question about it, all we saw was shiny players coming in. And that's all fans want to see. How could we seriously believe £70M was affordable on the level of income the SPL generates? We turned a blind eye to it, and I include myself in that. Pure conjecture. And it's exactly why HMRC don't have a strong case. Again, conjecture. You have categorically made up your mind that the EBTs were used for evasion. Without any evidence. It's why the BTC is so weak. A great deal of 'ifs buts and maybes' masquerading as fact in your post dear fellow.

Amazing how one post leads to it spreading like wildfire.

Surely the most notorious person to ever be associated with Rangers is Nuno Capucho

As I described in my blog, Murray is no innocent, but he is not responsible for us being in administration. The blame there is solely Whyte and his illegal activities at Ibrox, which forced this administration, which as I said, he is bizarrely being let off the hook by HMRC who say he's done no worse than forgetting to pay his energy bill. Murray followed a dream, an irresponsible dream, one we all bought into, and engaged the use of EBTs which are not illegal. It's also possible for Murray to have been plain stupid in selling to a charlatan. So desperate to get shot of the club, he sold to the first man who showed genuine interest and who 'didn't go away'.

Hasn't it been widely reported that these players can leave if Whyte returns? Well, we don't appear to be rid of him.
-
Yeah, well see above. Going by the arguments in opposition to the newco scenario, we're losing these players regardless.
-
What you're saying is all these players will go, regardless of a newco or not. Because if we survive this and get a new owner, we have no Europe next season anyway, we have a transfer embargo, and we've been fined more money that we don't have. What all of you seem to be saying, even if you don't realise it, is that newco or not, we're going to lose a lot of players and be at the mercy of the SPL/SFA. So, given the above, frankly a newco is a no-brainer, and as I've been witteringly endlessly, let's do it in England.

Someone tweeted that there's a rumour about us being liquidated by the 14th of May.

Has the Offensive behaviour at football Bill been scrapped already?
Danny replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
Some daft boot on twitter was going about retweeting it complaining about it being a gun etc. When it was confirmed as a flag she basically went ballistic asking everyone to remove their tweets incriminating her mistake. -
Thanks very much

The chance to begin again in a new league? Maybe if the vast majority had their fears about what newco means allayed, opinion would change. Everyone is under some illusion that it literally wipes Rangers out. That history and trophies are gone.
-
Really? Are you totally sure about that?
-
I swore he was in blue but the old memory's not what it was. But seems I was correct on this occasion.

Scott Brown deliberately trying to injure Sone Aluko - One for Lunny
Danny replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
Funny - these guys are total arseholes on the pitch, yet soon as it's full time they're perfectly decent human beings. I know someone who went to school with Brown, and obviously Whittaker and he are close friends. -
This image got me thinking, and I'm too lazy to Google. Did Law send down City or United as a former player in a Manchester Derby? When he scored the winner. And did not celebrate at all.
-
City have a long way to go before they can contend in Europe. But they do look like they have a serious chance now of winning the league. They have the players to become a great team, but they're not there yet. All they need is time.

Found a couple of quite stunning and powerful pictures taken by a chap on Flickr. Both show quite different things but they're great images. Firstly, Ibrox in panoramic glory: Secondly the gates of Ibrox, looking moody and profound: Despite the nonsense we're going through, images like these remind me why we love Rangers. By a chap called Brian Aitkenhead - pretty good photographer!

I've said before he has baggage, but I think he's the kind of guy trouble seems to follow. He has problems, no denying that, but growing up helped Rooney a lot. It helps most people. I also get the feeling he's in with a bad crowd and is easily led. Which is the same thing Lescott says about Balotelli.
-
I think he's a troubled guy - and as much as I condemned his 'attack' on the guy, others are right in saying he was looking out for his friend who'd been senselessly knocked unconscious by some other foul ned. I think personally he's a great player who just has some growing up to do.
