  1. Ha, and we agree again. Would be no fun if we agreed all the time though!
  2. Totally disagreed Craig. He is clearly saying someone should come in for him! Obviously, the whole administration thing has sped up a potential sale at Ibrox, but having been a fan for many years I can’t believe nobody took a punt on Steven sooner. Not really sure where your argument is coming from. You seem to be playing devil's advocate by suggesting Gray is only praising Naismith. But surely to Christ it's pretty clear that in doing so, he is encouraging someone to make a move. Whether or not his saying so makes the difference as to a move being made, is not the point. As for 'not very nice' - it's not very nice to point out how great your old club's top player is, and that given administration, it's just amazing no one's come in for him. I don't like hearing that. As for your final point - we might feel the same thing, but we aren't in the media spotlight as a former player. He is. tbh, and I'm not being petty, but I consider your post as much nonsense as you considered my rant on Spanish football.
  3. It has been amazing, I can't quite figure out how they've done it. But they're just not good enough to keep it going till the end of the season.
  4. Disagreed. We've never had a single concrete bid for him in all the time he's been here, and even the speculation has been tenuous at best. No English team seems that interested in him at all, and if we can get out of admin and get the wages back to normal, there's zero reason why we'd lose him.
  5. Not very nice from Gray tbh. For an ex player to encourage other clubs to sign our most prized asset is an astonishing comment to make.
  6. They're not doing well, they've just managed 3 incredible performances and results recently. Give them Bolton and they'll be back in the relegation zone before we know it.
  7. Thank God, I really didn't want them in control of Ibrox.
  8. http://ibroxnoise.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/what-waste-of-season.html A complete rant about our season. I'm really not very happy about it all.
  9. Feher too. There's a horror video on YouTube of the moment it happened. I wasn't warned of what I was about to see and it literally did scar me for life.
  10. Yeah, I knew nothing of this till I tuned into the Milan match to find it had been called off. Terrible thing to happen. Would have been ridiculous to play Italian matches this weekend.
  11. This season in Europe was incredibly poor for United - normally they make the semis, final or win. I'm not sure their dire performances in Europe this season are a fair reflection of their team overall. Gijon drew with Bilbao on the 25th of last month - does that mean Gijon are equal to Bilbao and therefore better than Man Utd? Results aren't literal. Never have been.
  12. So because you disagree with us you think we're insane? This is about opinions.
  13. No, I said it was better than La Liga. Right now I'm not sure any league is the best in the world. Italy's much stronger than it was, England is very strong, and despite the two horse race of La Liga, it's by no means a poor league.
  14. Yes, and when in an arguably weaker team, Barca, yer Messi doesn't shine. But Ron in a weaker team, Portugal, does. And did for United, and for Sporting.
  15. Spaniards say the same when watching Getafe Gijon etc.
  16. Do you truly believe Bilbao are a better team than Manchester United?
  17. Er, Only RM or Barca ever win La Liga. How is that better to Man Utd dominating England? When was the last time a non-Barca or RM team won La Liga? 2004 - Valencia. Now tell me the last 8 EPL winners. Man Utd and Chelsea. Yes, La Liga is much stronger and more varied... RM and Barca are on their own planet in La Liga and Europe. But the rest of Spain is nothing special at all. PS: Europa League is meaningless.
  18. The EPL is leaps and bounds better than Spain - it's a richer SPL ffs. Italy is also back on par after some very weak recent years. But my question stands - how would he do out of Spain?
  19. PS Pele said Neymar is better than Messi. But then he also said an African nation would win the world cup before the millennium, iirc.
  20. Messi plays in a league which is more open than the Titanic. The defending in Spain is completely shite, and it's not shocking that an extremely world class player like he would thrive there. That he doesn't thrive for his country is quite telling. C Ron does. Yes, and no. And I dispute your point about him proving himself in Europe against England and Italy's finest. You know prior to his penalty goal he hadn't scored against Italian opposition in 10 CL matches? And the previous goal was...a penalty. As for England, he destroyed Arsenal yes, but their defence has hardly been regarded since the days of Adams and Keown. Barry Ferguson and DaMarcus Beasley did exactly the same against RSB late in a game. Anyway, I've ranted about the Messi C Ron topic before, so I'll stop with this tidbit - in his career at Barca Messi has 158 in 208 goals. Ron has 106 in 95. I don't think the Portuguese gets the credit he deserves. As for Neymar - hardly watched him so can't comment.
  21. I'd read Andy's blogs if they weren't white text on black background, which just burns my eyes. As you lot told me off for a while back. Too many blogs look like his and just hurt. I did mention it to him a while back.
  22. Get Messi into Italian or English footie, and see how he does...
  23. If you want to buy a prized asset from a rich company, say Messi from Barca, expect to pay over the odds for him. If you want to buy a prized asset from a company who are financially sinking, you have all the power because they need money badly. It's basically the same thing as a firesale.
  24. The position we're in, unless we get out of admin soon - is all about running costs and keeping us afloat. As such valuable assets lose their value and can be lost on the cheap.
  25. This week a look at all the major movers and shakers on the playing staff. Who will we be able to keep this summer and who is vulnerable to the vultures? Total speculation on my part of course. What are your thoughts? Ibrox Noise - Who Will Stay and Who Will Go?
