Maybe I sound a touch harsh, but while I wish the guy well, I am not about to start calling him a brilliant left back. We failed to get a decent LB since Numan left, going through Ball, Vignal, etc. Hell we even tried Bernard. Papac did a consistent job out there but it was never his primary position. It was just a slot where we felt we had someone suitable enough. Although Ally was probably the first manager since we signed Papac to realise we needed more than just one decent guy for that position.

I can't see any motivation for him to get press coverage. He doesn't strike me as a media whore.
-
For someone so technically astute, his ability to close down crosses was abysmal. He was a decent player, no more, and half the reason he didn't get caught out of position was because he rarely ventured forward. He was a very defensive LB who didn't really offer effective balance on the left wing. His distribution was often extremely poor as well.

Chris doesn't seem to have anything but the club's best interests at heart. No apparent ego or agenda with him. Can't really say the same about MD.

Ibrox Noise: Is it All About the Money, Money, Money? So Bill Miller's the preferred bidder. What interest does he have in Rangers? Why an American trucking tycoon? Is he safe? Feedback appreciated as always gents and gentesses.

Have to say Chris you did not look nervous at all. As if you'd been doing it your whole life.
-
In the end he was an adequate LB, not stunning but adequate. But does anyone remember his first few appearances in that position? Bought as a CH, he got shunted out to LB and his first few displays, tbh, were criminally poor. One match at Ibrox was possibly one of the worst displays by a Rangers player I can ever remember - could not control the ball, couldn't judge his position, kept giving the ball away - he was all over the place. But he improved and the first half of this season, up till when Naismith got injured, the competition from Wallace brought the best out of Papac and imo his July-November period was his best since joining us. After that it all went a bit limp and by the end he really did look like he wanted away.

Sasa Papac will be leaving. His heart hasn't been in it the past few months but he goes with my best wishes.

I do agree that he should not completely isolate himself from supporters, but given the sheer, pardon the french, fucking shambles that we've been in the last wee while, demo excepted, with all the in-fighting and tedious politics, disagreements and agendas, I don't really trust the majority of the fans' views or right to have a say in the running of the club. I would be much happier if he just got on with things, listened to advisors he can trust in context of the Scottish game, but most importantly used his own successful business model on us without too much interference from emotional supporters. I heard RSA's Ross Blyth on the blower on SSN yesterday - man spoke a lot of sense and I agree with him that my only doubt about Miller is why he's interested in Rangers at all. But then, on the other hand we kept hearing how much of a supporter Whyte was, how much of a supporter so many of these links have been. And none of these situations worked in our advantage. So maybe his interest is purely that he wants to get into sports in Europe, and sees an opportunity with us to turn us round, and make us profitable and healthy. And that is fine by me.

How Chris sat next to him without tearing him a new one is beyond me.
-
His business track record appears pretty good, and that Scotland Tonight link guy from the US says he specialises in making money for people. So it seems the guy can turn round ailing businesses and make them profitable. I like his plan - to create a newco and to separately fix the problems with the old company - before merging together. I just hope, if we do indeed stay in this shithole SPL, that they don't find more reason to punish us.

My understanding is it was originally transferred over to Wavetower, who became Rangers PLC. Where is it now and does the new owner, whoever that ends up being, take it on?
-
I agree with you, but I'm very surprised this is your view. I thought you'd have been a pro-TBK guy.
-
PS: Don't you hate the volley of ads on STV player?
-
I thought after an indifferent start he did very well indeed, and as others have said well done to him for having the courage to go on.
-
It's not the first time I've seen such a claim. And not just on this forum. Surely all views should be allowed, no matter how insane(in your eyes), as long as they are not personal attacks on other members?

*stretches out arms*

Heard that. I also heard a little bird saying that both bids are floundering. Miller has been rejected and TBK have pulled out due to Whyte wanting cash for his shares. Just a rumour, don't shoot the messenger.

I assumed that's where you already were

Call me a discourse analyst. I like words to mean what they say. My posts, when I convey an opinion, I do so as one, and make it clear. Of course, I am only human, and occasionally I may error, but I generally like to be clear on what is fact and what is my own opinion. Just because you think it's silly to object to people being vague and unclear, doesn't make it so. One thing though: our little exchange here highlights how temporary this whole happy families thing was. Surely you can agree on that?

Ok, this guy on Twitter, who previously I didn't mind, appears to be as strong a pro-TBK/MD/FF guy as you'd ever see. The factions on Twitter tonight have been absolutely massive. And it seems Dingwall started it all on FF.
-
Someone on Twitter, along with an account I'd never seen before, Rangersunified, was having a conversation and I entered the fray. And now I know who the latter is.
-
Ha, so now I know who the hell 'Rangersunified' is haha We may disagree on a lot, but this one we appear to have parity on.
-
Someone on Twitter absolutely livid that I'm not fully in favour of TBK, calling my stance 'pathetic'. The in-fighting and disagreements are well and truly back. It seems to me increasingly TBK bid is becoming a supporter/website/RST vehicle. Politics are playing a bigger part in this than is healthy.

I've made my points clear on the matter in the past.
