I agree BD. The players didn’t look inspired and Murty looked indecisive. However, I’m not putting this at Murtys door. He is doing his best. I can assure you most Scottish MSP’s are quite different and are aware of exactly what is going on. In our parochial country and political environment it would be a dereliction of duty not to do so. Politics, Football and Religion have been integral to Scottish life since the lights went on (and before).

Dosnt mention work rate, tackles, tracking back, headers etc. Dosnt say what games he performs well (home or away?)or establish at what times? He does have ability it’s heart, desire and fortitude when the chips are down he lacks. Im not a huge fan of stats. A player could make easy passes and pass back the whole game. He could hide for 75mins yet stats would say he’s a world beater?? I hope he continues to improve though. He has been great v sheep.

It drips into sport through the media and right now we are facing prejudicial treatment through referees on a football pitch. The deeper semantic meanings involved are much more unsavoury imo.

Fair play Boabie is a perfectly good point. I actually see no reason to not have both side by side? Represents our Scottish origin and British association. Pleases everyone and it’s an accurate representation. Given the choice of the two though, it’s the union flag for me.

There have been some suggesting for a while it is the latter of those two options. Initially I had the view it was perhaps subconscious. That has not been my feeling by for a while now. The media are also in tandem with this as their derogatory, pejorative and hostile narrative influences opinion. These manifest themselves in both consciousness and subconscious behaviour. They are all aware of what’s happening.
