  1. I heard Cowan say that too 26th. I was walking along the PR pre match with the radio on talkSPORT. I flicked over to listen to how severe the blitz was. I wasn't disappointed! Cosgrove was incandescent with bitterness. After Cowan pointed out that nobody else gives a monkeys I remember Cosgrove foaming while correcting him. Words to the effect of Motherwell fans don't have a grasp on the feeling in Scottish football. What he really meant was it's only his beloved Selik and their subordinate followers that matter. I listened for less than two minutes (if that) I honestly can't stomach them. So listened to my coupon going down the pan when Liverpool had a man sent off.....Then I had 3-0 Bears and Morelos FGS. I wasn't happy when the fourth went it!
  2. Personally I wouldn't hold anything against him. He wasn't the first and won't be the last to end up on the front page of a downmarket rag. Imo he is not a Rangers manager. He holds a very narcissistic view of himself. That's not necessarily a bad thing but you need to back it up (Jose Mourinho for eg). However I wouldn't have Davies anywhere near the club.
  3. Oh dear Pete......Back to the bulls again? I actually agree with you. It's just a shame you can't hide your dislike of Pedro.
  4. I actually thought it was Bruno that got booked but I sit up the other end so didn't have a great view? I think it was persistent pulling/shoving in the box. I'm presuming we are talking about the incident at the free kick then corner in the second half?
  5. The challenge on candeias in the second half was a disgrace. Pedro was going ballistic!
  6. I think it's fair to say nobody hides the agenda anymore. I was actually wondering how much we receive from BT sport? My initial thought was is it worth the hassle? There is an anti rangers agenda (with sinister social undertones) and we seem to be providing a convenient platform.
  7. If it's all the same, I will just take your word for it mate!
  8. Thanks for the lesson Craig lol. Is it easy enough (and sorry for the phrase but "transparent" enough) to find out where the money is coming from and whom?
  9. "Institutional Bondholders" is an interesting term? It could mean absolutely anything and is surely something worth further investigation? Transparency-Sporting integrity and all that....
  10. Great performance and result although Dundee are awful! Niko and Miller should be on the bench, waste of two jerseys and slow us down. Candeias was MOTM imo although Morelos was excellent. This may not please everyone but I fear for our back four. They look stationary in the centre at times and a better side could get at us down the flanks. I'm also not sure what's going on with Wallace and Bruno but the body language ain't good? Jack and Dorrans were solid as usual and the diamong is ok but I prefer the 4-2-3-1. Glad Pena got his goal and Windass made a heck of a difference. The team is looking far far better. Pedro was like a cat on hot bricks. Screaming and shouting, up and down, in and out the dugout. Fantastic emotion and commitment from the manager. My only concern is that the defence is not as solidified as it should be?
  11. Great post and I share your sentiments. It's high time the light was shone on all of them. We need to be organised and get to work!
  12. Time we got organised and started looking properly under every rock and stone over the last 50 years at the Piggery. As was suggested by others too, if they start this then we go after them. Unmask the cover ups and perpetrators.
  13. It has been three weeks since our last home game fixture versus Hearts and it certainly feels like it. Last week’s victory over Ross County at Dingwall was a great confidence boost however there is nothing like getting back to Ibrox for the next home game after the indifference of the international break. Much has been discussed regarding the after-match exploits and product being delivered from BT sport. Without wasting anymore breath on individuals who are bereft of respect and civility, it’s fair to say all Rangers fans who feel they are not receiving value for money from a product, no matter what it is, would be justified in taking their money elsewhere. We host Dundee this Saturday at 3pm, a match which is already a sell-out. Another full house at Ibrox as our supporters continue to show why we remain loyal and have so many admirers worldwide. This Saturday is also Armed Forces Day which is always a fantastic occasion every year. Men and Women from the Army, Navy and he RAF will be attending as we salute their continued courage and bravery in defending the shores of our country. There will be bands outside the Argyle house restaurant from 1pm and bands in the fan zone from 2-2.30pm before kick-off. In addition, there will be various other entertainment from our armed forces https://rangers.co.uk/news/club/armed-forces-day-ibrox/. Volunteers will be collecting for charities such as AA Veterans Support in Northern Ireland, the Coming Home Centre in Govan and Erskine. I’m sure all Bears will continue to support our brave men and women as much as they always have. The last time we faced Dundee was back in February when we suffered a 2-1 defeat away at Dens park. Joe Garner scoring in the second half in what was one of Graeme Murty’s games in charge before Pedro arrived. Of the starting eleven that day, only four remain at the club. This being an indication of the massive changes that Pedro is trying to oversee, and bring us success. The first half performance was awful that day as we looked lacklustre and asleep. Although our second half efforts were much improved we couldn’t find the killer touch to turn the game around. Neil McCann arrives after earning a hard-earned draw in their last match at home. They will look to build on that and I would suggest they will sit back and soak up the pressure, much like Hearts did in our last fixture at home. We should look to be patient and try to break them down, something we found unable to do in that fixture. Our last match against Ross County saw us have more success and we could break the opposition down. Two goals from Morelos, who looks like a fantastic signing already, and one from Herrerra saw us run out 3-1 victors. The one glaring change from the starting line-up required this week should be Nico, who with the best will in the world, just doesn’t have the legs for it any more. Along with Miller he should be used as an impact player from the bench when the situation requires it. There have been some great suggestions on the forum for the midfield and one I particularly liked was Rossiter and Jack holding, which would leave Dorrans with space to get forward. Potentially having Candeias and Herrera either side of him. Leaving Morelos through the middle. Alternatively, once Pena is fit he could be given the freedom to get forward and perhaps Dorrans moving to the left? We are not short of options it’s just finding the right recipe for success. Our back line pretty much picks itself with Tavernier, Wallace, Cardoso and Bruno with Wes in goal. Bruno just oozes class and although he hasn’t faced anyone of any note yet, we would hope he has the class required to cope with most of what our league throws at him. Our back line is without question far superior than last season and the main reason for that is the arrival of big Bruno. The manager will once again be under scrutiny from many of our support who still, quite rightly to be fair, have their reservations. Pedro has polarised opinion across supporters with some taking to him and some left baffled by his decisions and statements. I genuinely hope he succeeds and it’s been breath-taking to read and listen to the comments from the media which have been used to ridicule our manager. There is a very sinister undercurrent of parochial xenophobia amongst many of the hacks and the hysteria over Pedro’s comments when using what is not his first language, was quite ridiculous. He has conducted himself with marvellous decorum and professionalism. Something which those he is addressing could only dream of possessing. I’m sure all our support will get behind the team on Saturday and hopefully be patient as we endeavour to break down what will be a stubborn Dundee defence. I’m going to predict a 3-0 victory with Morelos first goal scorer. It will be a fantastic day as Armed Forces Day always is. The weather forecast for Saturday is set fair and the sun looks like it may make its last appearance of the summer! After all the criticism, the manager has taken it would be great to see the team provide us with a commanding performance and victory. It would certainly make us all feel a lot better over the weekend and those who would use any avenue to demean us, feel a lot worse. C’mon eh Bears!
  14. Preview will be up this evening. Apologies. Been a bit busy this week that's why not up this morning.
  15. I'm afraid the majority of the other clubs and fans in Scotland are not intelligent enough to realise that. They have all been dancing to the mhanks tune for so long they can't see the wood for the trees!
  16. I'm not proficient any any kind of legal matters? Can someone enlighten me as to why it's possible to change rules and then punish retrospectively? In theory anything or anyone while acting in good faith could then be punished when someone or something takes a disliking in future dealings?
  17. MOH wasn't comfortable in a Rangers jersey due to more than being on the bench, and it showed.
  18. I'm just biased, my idol, every season......
  19. What facts dB? It could have been 10 at Ibrox! I remember walking out the piggery after the 5-1 humiliating thinking it couldn't get worse. Oh how wrong I was!
  20. It is a heck of a lot safer in a safe standing area than it is standing when there is seats there. Who has not had legs black and blue from the seats at away venues at some point? Folk jumping all over you and then crashing into seats in front of you etc. I read FS point so logistically I don't have the facts on how practical it is? If we have over 50 RSC in favour and club 1872 support it, then they pay their money like everyone else. If they would be happy with £20 or so on an ST and it's practical then great. Additionally GS was reinforcing Pete's point re 1.5 per seat therefore revenue would be increased.
  21. I don't recall one being set off at Ibrox Gonzo. I'm not sure where all the hysteria is coming from over this? Nobody (not me anyway) is arguing disabled facilities are a priority. As I said, put £20 on the price of an ST for the west enclosure, make it safe standing, it's paid for and everyone's happy. The club should be able to fund state of the art disabled facilities. You would have to hope they are looking at that?
  22. Henderson was before my time? It's Dalglish and Davie Cooper for me.
  23. I'm hearing everyone concerns re the cost however if the cost is covered by the ST's there, then it's not an issue. There is Pyro going off at the moment so what's the difference? If people are paying there own money, covering the cost and the rules over pyrotechnics are adhered too, there is no issue. The point over disability facilities is clearly one that should be highlighted. It would seem that club funds would be directed there. I agree club funds should be prioritised accordingly. The disabled facilities being high on the list.
  24. Wonder what brought the "penny man" out from under his rock? A lash up with Brazil perhaps? Can he too smell a "hospitality tent" from a few hundred miles?
  25. Great piece of writing and a smashing post. I would also love to see Hardie get his chance. Could he partner Morelos?
