Just catching up on this debate. I’m with Gonzo and GS on this. Vile woman knew exactly who he was. She followed him on twitter and anyone that believes she wasn’t fully aware of his activities is deluding themselves. She must resign or be pushed as her position is untenable. Aye, a night in the casino for them! Seriously though 10k PA interest plus a job bringing in 20k is good and would be comfortable. Even a part time job bringing in 10k on top of your 10k interest. Then having your house paid and still 500k in the bank is well and truely set up for anyone in the real world.

I have been misinterpreted when I stated “set up for life”. What I mean by that is £500.000-1m in the bank is not having to worry financially for the rest of your life. Your house will be bought and you won’t be living in social housing or worrying about paying bills. There will be money aside for emergencies and you should not have these worries for the rest of your life. I imagine some on here who are at a different financial station will deem this to be different from their view of “set up for life”. Let me be clear, for anyone who misunderstood my comments. Those who live in the real world and are earning circa 20-25k a year or in many cases less than that, £500,000-1m in the bank, is most definitely “set up for life”.

If you walk out with 5k a week, that’s 250k a year. He must get that for three years with us and say two at Liverpool so that’s 5. He would or should have between 500,000-1m in his bank. That’s set up in my book even at £500,000 in savings. Footballers live a fairytale lifestyle with too much money.

It’s what I would consider set up for life CS. 10-15k a week for three years, that’s set up for life where I’m coming from. This in addition to what he earned at Liverpool. I know it’s not a multi million lifestyle but it’s comfortable enough. He has spent 90% if his time suffering from injuries that some were aware of before he got here imo. He will probably fall off the radar when his contract is up.

Yup Gonzo that needs a revamp. The club do really well in the family stand and always have activities inside. We could really do with a brightening up of the exterior and signage too.
