As far as I could see there was a significant difference between that pitch and the killie pitch. I was watching a relatively poor standard online stream and I could still see all that black stuff bouncing up. I think the ball and players feet stick in it. It can't be evenly spread either so when the ball hits a 'lump' of that it can go anywhere.
-
If it weren't for that pitch I would be deciding the away form is now a thing. But considering how bad that pitch was I'm undecided. As has been noted teams like Livi are in the business of stopping us playing then hoping to get something from the scraps. When they're at home Livi don't need to work at stopping us playing. The pitch does it for them. We were never going to get a rythm going on that.
-
Well we're going to get a look at what the manager can come up with to deal with this. The pitch is a huge factor. Just not fit for football.

To go top while Liverpool draw at Chelsea.

If I remember correctly our kick off times against the sheep in their sheep pen are always around the same time this semi kicks off. Yet we don't scream and pull out our hair over it so what's the fuss here? Hearts and yahoos granted I wouldn't want to be playing in the second game on that pitch but the sheep have absolutely nothing to bleat about. Noonish kicks off are standard fare.
-
I'm happy that the sheep are unhappy. I have seen the glee among then when we're unhappy.

It's going to be one of those physical battles against a technically limited side. Put the questionable pitch on top of that and it's most definitely a tricky one. We're also going to need the ref to do his job from the outset if we're going to get any chance to outplay them.

Might it be the case that Morelos may get booked when others would just get a talking to because refs think oh well he can't speak English so I can't give him a talking to just book him. And I saw someone else raise a good point about his lack of English. How else can he communicate other than hand/arm gestures when he can't say what he's thinking. -
I’m not entirely sure what the manager means when he says Sadiq has to get better. Is he saying he’s still not fit enough?

The SPFL will meet representatives of all League Cup semi-finalists and the police in a bid to find a solution to where the matches should be held. Hearts will take on Celtic and Rangers face Aberdeen in the last four. The games were scheduled for Hampden on Saturday 27 October and Sunday 28 October, but Celtic and Rangers have Thursday games in the Europa League. One option is to use Murrayfield as a second venue and hold both games on the Sunday. BT Sport have a deal to broadcast both matches. Celtic face RB Leipzig in Germany while Rangers host Spartak Moscow and Ibrox manager Steven Gerrard insists it would be "unfair" to ask either of the Glasgow clubs to play again after just one day's rest. The semi-final line-up also means the top flight matches between Aberdeen v Livingston and Dundee v Hearts on the 27th, as well as Hibs v Rangers and Celtic v Motherwell on the Sunday, will be rescheduled. There is a full Scottish Premiership fixture list the following Wednesday, with Aberdeen hosting Hamilton, Celtic visiting Dundee, Rangers taking on Kilmarnock at Ibrox and an Edinburgh derby at Tynecastle. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/45663298

So are we to conclude that this means we will play on the Sunday while the yahoos will play Hearts on the Saturday? It's listing both days and it was stated prior to the draw that whoever came out of the hat first would play on the Saturday. That was yahoos v Hearts.

I lost the stream during the booking. I'm giving what's being reported by media sources. So are you saying that he didn't make any gesture to the ref and didn't refuse to go over to be talked to? -

I like that kind of confidence. Since we pretty much dominated the sheep in their own sheep pen with just 10 men i'm confident we can take them in a semi final with a full 11. Judging from reports they were thrashed 0-0 by hubz last night and don't deserve to be in the semi at all. -

It wasn't just that. He made a dismissive gesture towards the ref then refused to go over to him when summoned for a talking to. Halliday had to drag him over. He's a real discipline problem that appears to be getting worse not better. -

Now we're going to see what depth we have as far as the striking role goes. Though to be true most of our goals are coming from sources other than strikers. -

The sheep are the worst team left in it. Cup has our name on it. The stars are aligning for Gerrard. -

The other two ties currently drawing with around 10 minutes to go. Just like sheep hubz last night. -

Hopefully that opens the floodgates. I was becoming a shade concerned at a bit of Ayr pressure forcing good saves out of Wes. -

Th ref looks like a non pie munching more intelligent version of Hartson. -

It's hugely encouraging to look at it and digest that this is a powerful 11 and could probably largely be considered a second string. Even the bench is impressive with multi million talent sitting there. -

It's more than good enough to blow Ayr out of the water hopefully before halftime then give Rossiter a run to get him up to speed. -

Or has Gerrard decided that he doesn't meet requirements? If he's not injured I think he's finished at Rangers. -

Sadiq not even on the bench.
