    Semi Final

It's probably going to be a repeat of what we see against the other 'small' teams. They will sit in while kicking and provoking our players hoping to get something on the break. If this is going to be an entertaining showpiece game they will certainly have no part in making it so. I can see them struggling to get much higher in the league than they are right now, both Hearts and hubz are better than them. We sit 5 points off the top while they sit 5 points outside the top 6. We're the highest scorers in the league with the best GD. They're seventh top scorers and seventh best GD. Suits their league position to a T. Despite their delusions of being relevant they're undoubtedly the one the other three wanted to pull in the draw. I hope we not just beat them but totally humiliate them.
  2. Rossiter is young and has time plus youth on his side to get over his injury/fitness issues. He could prove to be a good investment but Dorrans on the other hand may prove to be money down the drain. He has neither time nor youth on his side. He will take longer to recover from even minor injuries and it may be approaching time to cut our losses there. It's a pity because he is a good player when fit.
  3. That's because they don't have the ability to do things like this. Two passes the first from inside our own half and seconds later it's in the net following a class finish.
  4. It's not perfect yet but there are surely more positives than negatives. Yesterday was the 21st competitive match of the Gerrard era with only 2 defeats in the 21 and only one of them what we might call unexpected. And keep in mind the unexpected loss came against a side who are undefeated in their last 9 including a draw away to Hearts and a win over hubz. I still don't think we have peaked and will continue to get better.
  5. They're taking a great interest in Rangers this season for obvious reasons. Stevie G and their loanees. There have been hints Kent may be permanently signed but currently that's looking a little more tricky and possibly more expensive. Judging from all I have heard Kent himself could be interested in a permanent move. Liverpool fans react to Ryan Kent heroics for Rangers
  6. And once again the highest scoring team in the league with the best GD. There are issues to be sorted out but the manager acknowledges them and will be working to get to the bottom of it. There may have been a bit of looking ahead to Thursday and next Sunday going on here especially so after they took the lead. A shade of let's just settle for that and avoid injuries etc but it might also be said that they quickly produced another gear when it was needed. Though I would prefer being in that gear from the start then go down the gears when it's secured and a one goal lead is not secure.
  7. Rossiter looks like a kid who just won a ticket to the Wille Wonka factory.
  8. I missed it. 3 points secured and the GD handsomely boosted and though it doesn't sound as convincing as the scoreline would suggest there may be additional factors to be considered here. The yahoos laboured to beat Hamilton 1-0 on grass at the piggery while Hearts went behind at Hamilton but drew back to go in 1-1 at halftime before eventually also running out 4-1 winners including one penalty. Also must we view this as a continuing issue with away form or a player phobia about plastic pitches? I'm going to be watching with interest what happens when we meet St Mirren away in a couple of weeks time.
  9. At this stage I'm still not overly concerned about the away record though if we faltered at Hamilton I would be. Day 1 at the sheep pen was a travesty in which we should have won by at least a couple of goals. The Motherwell game they were still gelling while getting used to the managers requirements and appeared somewhat taken aback by the standard Motherwell strategy of kick, wrestle, and roll. Again still should have been a win but for almost literally last kick of the ball slackness. At the piggery they appeared to freeze like deer caught in headlights. The only truly woeful result was at Livingston where they just never turned up at all. All teams have games like that and hopefully that's ours for the season. As I said if we don't beat Hamilton and convincingly at that then I would begin to worry about it but I feel confident the Gerrard express will be back on track at Accies.
  10. So the title wasn't what the girl said when she saw the offending photo.
  11. I think we're all a shade nervous due to the away record in the league this season. In my view we're too good a team for that to continue and if Dundee can beat Accies 2-0 away which they did to collect their only points from the entire season so far we should be looking at a comfortable win. Hopefully it's a done deal by halftime leaving a half to experiment with the front line with next week in mind.

On sheep forums it's the usual after todays defeat. It's all the fault of McInnes, he 'shites' it against the better teams, all they need to do is 'have a go' and everything will be rosy in the sheep pen. Absolutely no recognition that they're simply not good enough to 'have a go' against the better sides. McInnes sets up as he does because if he doesn't they're more than likely going to be swamped and heavily beaten. An example of their delusion. ?
  13. None of todays results helped us much. In an ideal world we would have had the sheep beating hearts and yahoos v hubz maybe a draw.
  14. Trying to decide how dirty each of them are. Hearts come away with a 2-1 win in a game which produced 11 yellow cards and 3 penalties one of them missed by Naismith. Referee, Kevin Clancy.
  15. I bear no grudges against Kris Boyd despite the fact some people think he takes digs at us. I don't believe he does in a vindictive way. He simply speaks his mind painting the picture as he sees it. Most of us around here have taken pot shots at the club, the board, or the management in one way or another over the past few years but that doesn't make us enemies of the club. Boyd is no different and I'm sure he is as keen as we are to see us fully return to our traditional status.
  16. Yes he handled it with ease and stood up for his player at the same time. They appeared to be taking a covert snipe at Halliday but Gerrard interrupts to respond for Halliday with "good players can play anywhere" Next.

Good call. I posted it over there.

You can include us in the not knowing what to expect factor but it's all good. Over the last couple of seasons we were so predictable any opposition could work on how they were going to play us weeks ahead if they wanted to. I'm finding myself conflicted on whether I want them to win at Hearts tomorrow. A win for them could boost morale but if they do win at Hearts and we win at Hamilton that gap to the top would be reduced to just 2 points. I'm not a betting man but if I had to bet on it I may go for a draw between Hearts and sheep.

The sheep are pinning their hopes on the fact that we will have no Morelos or Lafferty and have a game against Spartak on the Thursday prior. The classic sign of also rans, hope for the opposition to be weakened and tired. As for the strikers did Gerrard drop a hint in his interview with Halliday that Sadiq might be an option? If he is he has to be at least on the bench when they kick off at Hamilton.
  20. A real talent at handling any type of question thrown at him and controlling the discussion. He has a masterful way of telling them I already answered your question. That's that. Move on or shut up.
  21. Hard blow for them and exactly why they couldn't maintain a long term challenge in the league. They simply don't have the depth of squad for it. Ikpeazu will be a significant loss for them. He was a real tank against us and obviously the loss of Souttar will leave them defensively weaker.

The whining about the tickets was nothing more than being troublesome for the sake of it. They know we could fill the stadium by ourselves but pulled a lack of respect OF bias card. They have no recent record of selling large amounts of tickets. And now with the absurd scatter gun approach they took to selling the tickets they were turning what had already been a fiasco into an even more absurd situation. They would happily have created a situation with huge empty spaces while their bleating bands were scattered in pockets. And there can be little doubt that they don't think they have a chance of winning. Be interesting to see how they fare against Hearts at the weekend though I hope they actually beat Hearts while we win to close that gap to the top.

Hearts sold 18,000 before general sale.
