  1. Certainly appears to be shaping up like that with just a third of the season gone. Top two tied on goal difference with a GD of 24 while the side in third lags far behind that GD on just 4. That's a revealing statistic.
  2. They're ignoring the fact he doesn't speak English and comes from a country with different cultural norms.
  3. Good result and yahoos winning aside results elsewhere suited us.
  4. He's contracted till 2022 so there is no rush. As far as i'm concerned we should be keeping him at least another couple of years unless a bid is super crazy. In the tens of millions.
  5. I saw an opinion piece last week that predicted SG would be looking for another striker in the upcoming window. And further predicted that the addition of a quality striker to take some of the pressure off Morelos plus perhaps one more player could see us winning the league.
  6. They're not so potent away from their plastic hell. In their last away game they lost away to a 10 man Hamilton and overall have scored just 12 goals in 12 games with 4 of those goals coming in a single game against league whipping boys Dundee. The key for us as always is an early goal or two which then renders their park the bus strategy pointless. I look for us to win by at least 2 or 3 goals.
  7. This is simply yet another example of trying to create something out of nothing. Just as they continue to do with their demands for investigations into our UEFA participation prior to the 2012 season. Despite being repeatedly told there is nothing to investigate they can't/wont let it go. As far as i'm aware the away support of all teams have had the same arrangements at Ibrox for over a decade and there have been no issues. They need to look closer to home for supporter safety issues. Five injured after 'crush' at Old Firm game While we have been inconsistent to this point we have still turned in some impressive displays and there really is a tangible fear emanating from their hovel at this time. We need to continue winning till their visit then beat them to see an ever more visible terror come into view. As an aside I would have loved to have witnessed the frustration when some rogue raised their sectarian chanting. What a wally. They're trying to focus on big bad Rangers and he chimes in with their own generally unspoken of behaviour issues.
  8. There's a cheaper weapon somewhat akin to garlic and vampires. Just fire a shower of poppies at them.
  9. Celtic may refuse tickets for next month's meeting with Rangers at Ibrox for security reasons, chief executive Peter Lawwell has told the club's AGM. Lawwell says the club will advise fans not to attend the game if he feels there are safety concerns. Rangers cut Celtic's away allocation in May and their city rivals responded by offering away fans fewer tickets for the September meeting at Celtic Park. Brendan Rodgers' side won that match 1-0 thanks to an Olivier Ntcham goal. The reigning Scottish Premiership champions are currently top of the division - two points ahead of Steven Gerrard's team, who are third. Meanwhile, Lawwell responded to a shareholder's question about sectarian and unacceptable singing from Celtic fans by saying such chanting is dragging the club down. The chief executive said the situation is difficult to manage but agreed the problem, from a small minority, has deteriorated recently. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/46292679
  10. You would think if there were this would already have been dismissed.
  11. I believe the Gaza version of events in large part because it sounds like something he would do.
  12. I didn't realise he was already just 3 goals short of his total last season. Obvious improvement and we can hold on to him for another season or two given he's contracted till 2022. In the meantime the search should be on for another like him.
  13. We can expect this to be likened to the recent yahoo paedophile scandal. Gazza has been off the rails for years. Probably drunk and thinking his actions were just another one of his pranks that will be laughed at.
  14. I think it's been obvious for a long time that print media is a dying medium. You can look to Steve Jobs as the one who delivered the fatal blow. He sat down and wondered how he could sell more of his tablets and came up with a world changing solution. Let's shrink it down, put a phone app on it and call it a phone. Now everybody and his literal granny has one. Email delivered the same fatal blow to postal services. Who would now send a letter or a postcard? Last I heard Royal Mail are predominately filling letter boxes with junk mail.
  15. Think there may have been people putting money into these traditionally not top league sides just to get them to the el dorado of the EPL. If they get there then the ocean of money comes washing in and even if they're immediately relegated parachute payments make it worth it.
  16. I think it would suit us but ironically the minnows who hate us think it would suit them. Or so they say. It's all part of the Rangers get preferential treatment from referees conspiracy which we know is absurd. For example in their world Morelos is never anything but fairly tackled.
  17. Football at it's best. End to end high drama.
  18. So what's this then? Oh wait a minute I remember now. Just a bit of fun. Completely different thing from 'gestures'
  19. Had a look at a collection of 10 penalty saves and found myself most impressed by the one they ranked number 8 by Brazilian goalie Victor Bagy who plays for Atletico Mineiro. Some others were actually multiple saves as the ball came back out and was struck at goal again but still found myself most impressed by the way Bagy pulled his save off. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEP8HgJ2A1c
  20. I experience a degree of disappointment every time I think of those and other carelessly dropped points. But at the same time it encourages me that we can work that out and win this league. I tell myself that we're only 12 games into a 38 game marathon and that we still heaven't peaked with what's an almost entirely new squad and management team. And who knows. The January window may find us the final piece of the jigsaw.
  21. Reports surfacing that Jack has a calf injury and has pulled out of the Scotland squad. Perfect timing.
  22. SG saying in an interview that Grezda is effectively just out of pre season and that he will get a lot better.
  23. Somebody was due a real thrashing against us and I wont complain about the opponent who received that thrashing, they're a horrible outfit. Fittingly on a day when it was illustrated yet again on yet another contender how frustrating it is to go play Livingston on that cursed plastic as they park the bus. We need to continue this momentum till the January window remaining no more than 2 points off the top. A little more consistency in previous matches we should have won and we would already be on top. I'm still confident we can gain some consistency and win this league.
