  1. Hearts fans and apparently management too are now diving headlong into the conspiracy pit despite the fact we are victim to probably more incorrect decisions than they are. It's all a conspiracy to 'reinstate the duopoly' They have a good early season run of half a dozen games or so most of which were against the bottom half and think they're on a title winning run as we and the yahoos stutter. Then when the same old reality which has always existed begins to creep back in it's a conspiracy It just is what it is as far as any 'duopoly' goes. If they had our crowds and our resources while we had theirs it would be a different outlook. It's as simple as that. Levein in particular should know better than to peddle this kind of line. Why is he so desperate for Morelos to get a card? Would that make his team better than ours? Cards are the difference between his squad and ours? I hope it all comes back to bite him on the arse. His team have been riding physicality to it's limits and beyond for sometime. One of his players should have been red carded long before ours was yesterday. And even after that we were still the dominant force more likely to score. Yes Morelos was offside but let's presume he hadn't been. Then what would they be claiming? They were outplayed for two thirds of the game on their own patch and in my view were lucky to escape with a narrow loss. I believe if Morelos had been called offside we would still have scored again. Even their goal was an OG which if McAuley had missed it would simply have gone straight across the box with none of their players near it. Again, this is being painted as if they were somehow robbed of a result when the reality is they were lucky to escape a thrashing.
  2. Swansea reportedly making moves for Shankland.
  3. I can only be encouraged that at last the print and radio media have become bored of this tedious stupidity. There should indeed be a collective rolling of eyes every time some obsessed wacko says new team, sevco, skint, UEFA, FIFA and so on. Though it does make you wonder how many more than current 7 red cards we would have if we weren't being helped from the shadows. ? And then again I suddenly find myself impressed that a team can actually top the league having played so many games a man down. Tomorrow will be the first time this season we have played the sheep with a recognised striker for any more than total 12 minutes or so across two games. Or will it be?
  4. Looks as if there will be activity which will further fuel the now tedious 'but they're skint" mantra. That in turn will then further fuel fantasies of financial meltdown at any moment. As far as i'm aware the club actually has no debt at all if you put aside the money being put in by boardroom benefactors and others of their ilk not on the board. My dream end to the year. We continue winning, continue topping the league, and give the yahoos a roasting to consolidate a lead going into the January break/window. The screams of anguish as we consolidate both a lead and the squad while 'skint' could be ear splitting but the best present I could hope for.
  5. If Levein wants to complain about referees that's his prerogative and one I have taken part in myself more than once already in this season alone. But if he really wants fair play all round then he has to be asking why this didn't get a red card? And further has to ask himself what he thinks would have happened in this game if that red card had been given and they had down to 10 men at such an early stage. Even when we went down to 10 men they still couldn't pin us back and still never looked like scoring while we still did. It's swings and roundabouts. Some you get some you don't. The whining about Morelos is absurd. He's kicked, pushed, pulled, poked, niggled in every single match and not all of that comes on the ball. Then when he develops a response to that they want him booked? Get real. Levein comes out of this one looking very bad indeed. His team were totally outplayed even by 10 men and this greetin' match wont change that.
  6. Someone who actually still buys a paper. He is to be commended for supporting print media and presumably an old fashioned biro too as he sits there obsessing over Rangers marking off and counting all references to them in his paper. Plus we thank him for the obsession with our team, we all share that with him but in the circumstances he might think of seeking professional help for that particular compulsion.
  7. Klopp charged with misconduct for his celebration. Compare what he did to the behaviour of Lennon and his crowd goading 'bit of fun' and 'just giving a bit back' which he expects to be excused as acceptable. Klopp was in his home stadium, did not approach or gesture to opposition supporters or players. Ran to one of his own players and later apologised for his behaviour.
  8. He's on an impressive run. Hit 4 of their 5 goals against DU taking him to 26 in 23 games. Yes that's in the Championship but even at that it's still impressive though doesn't guarantee he could make the step up. Worth a punt considering the price should be a relative pittance given his contract will expire in less than 6 months and you would think he would be willing to sign for relatively low wages until he proves himself up to it. It would still be considerably more than he's on at Ayr.
  9. At worst we were saying he's incompetent. Unlike Levein yesterday who claimed outright cheating.
  10. I often find myself wondering where this label 'bang average' put on us by the support of every side we beat comes from. Same again after yesterdays events, 'bang average' in the same sentence as conceding that aside from the early stages Hearts were never in it. The stats say it all. Shots: Hearts 5 - Rangers 17 Shots on Target: Hearts 2 - Rangers 8 Corners:Hearts 5 - Rangers 10 They were dominated on their own patch and lucky to get away with a narrow defeat. And if it's a 'bang average' side which has this season achieved a record breaking unbeaten Euro run and currently sitting at the top of the league with a +25 GD to their +3 they need to consider what that makes them. Barely audible shite?
  11. Best team in Scotland is my major interest right now. Either already being it or becoming it.
  12. Perhaps but could Levein have known that from the dugout area? Regarding the linesman these things are over in a fraction of a second and if your line of sight happens to be drawn to something else in that fraction of a second then it's going to be missed. I don't think things like that are so easily picked out as people who can view a large portion of the field in a small square in their living room think they are. Obviously VAR is the answer.
  13. There is no way Levein knew the Morelos goal was offside without the benefit of a freeze frame replay. It was offside but it's not an easy thing to see without technology. We had 17 shots at goal, his lot had 5 and despite his fantasies we did that with just 11 men on the pitch and it didn't change anything when we went down to 10. We were still generally dominating. Sort of puzzled as to which other day they might have won that rather than escaping with a narrow 2-1 defeat which could have been many more 'on another day' Maybe he means another day when we get 2 or 3 sent off.
  14. And on yet another day if Morelos had his shooting boots on could have been thrashed. And i'm guessing Levein is going to charged for suggesting a referee is playing for the opposition.
  15. I hope we go on to win by a few. We get one incorrect refereeing decision in our favour and it's a conspiracy.
  16. A shade offside but I will take it. Call it balancing out more incorrect decisions against us than I care to recall.
  17. Great play Candeias. I expect Morelos to at least connect.
  18. I suspect this could be as dull a fight as one could expect to see. One of those 'contests' where one of the two in this case Fury will be landing a jab here and there then just grabbing the opponent round the neck with the ref spending the fight trying to separate them. Semi wrestling match. And anybody who gets as out of condition as Fury has been is no athlete.
  19. We're a better team than them. Just one line of evidence to support that assertion lies in the fact we have a +24 GD to their +4. Such vastly different numbers don't occur by accident. That doesn't guarantee anything but it should go some way to getting us a win if the team play to their capabilities. It's probably our hardest away test this side of the new year. If we come through it with full points we can begin to consolidate a gap between us and the chasing pack. This is indeed a key match.
  20. It would appear almost certain there's going to be some activity. The current rumours appear to suggest at least two in one of them being a striker. As for preferences it's the same old story. What's available and of that what can we afford. I'm more confident than I have been in recent seasons that any business will improve the squad.
  21. The way I heard it is that numbers of them have began spending the bulk of the match standing blocking the view of those sitting behind them which then forces them to stand too if they want to see.
  22. Brian Laudrup used to be accused of going down easily which wasn't the case at all. As we all know Laudrup was very fast and in full flight and pretty much up on the toes like a sprinter it doesn't take a great deal to knock anyone over. That's not what's happening with Neymar.
  23. Was just looking at the group and though I didn't look at any other groups this has to be one of the tightest if not the tightest and most unpredictable in the tournament. Rapid were bottom of the group at the beginning of the night and top at the end with just one game to go. Remarkable.
  24. I didn't see it and couldn't check news of it during the game and in fact it had been over around two and a half house when I first learned the result. Been reading reports around the web and it sounds like McGregor pulled us through. Again. Would Rangers still be in the Europa League were it not for the performances of goalkeeper Allan McGregor?
