Evening Times employs punchy headline?
JFK-1 replied to 26th of foot's topic in General Football Chat
And maybe not. An officer started campaigning for the law to change after his police dog was stabbed by a suspected robber and nearly died. Evening Times employs punchy headline?

I think I may once have read that attacks on police dogs are considered police assault in law. If that is indeed the case hopefully it extends to police horses. -

Their upcoming schedule is just one more factor in how important this Killie match is. It's a nail biter. -

If we were to take full points from the next 4 league matches my belief would begin approaching optimal level of expectation. The yahoos on the other hand have an upcoming league schedule almost designed to give them an easy time of it. Of their next 5 league matches only 1 is away and that's at St Johnstone. Their next two are at home hosting 2 of the bottom 3. -

I feel it's going to be a repeat of the same thing we have seen so many times this season. Killie will sit in, try to absorb the assault and catch us on the break for a narrow win. If they score first they will dig in even deeper. They have the third best defensive record in the top 6. We will more than likely have the majority of the ball and need to break them down. Hopefully early to open it up. Davis and Defoe, this is exactly the scenario we brought you in for. -
Cardiff players plane disappears over Channel
JFK-1 replied to JFK-1's topic in General Football Chat
Sadly I have to agree. Even if they ditched into the water and survived it no one could live long in those waters. It's too cold. No trace also suggests it disintegrated on impact. -
Premier League footballer Emiliano Sala was on a light aircraft which went missing over the Channel Islands. The £15m Argentine striker, 28, was one of two people on board the Piper Malibu which lost contact off Alderney in the Channel Islands on Monday night. Cardiff City, which signed Sala from French club Nantes in a record deal on Saturday, said it was "very shocked". Guernsey Police said there was "no trace" of the Cardiff-bound flight and has suspended the search for the night. MORE

SFA to meet Scottish Premiership clubs over referee and appeal issues

Astounding. Like asking the KKK to advise on a panel discussing the path to racial harmony. -

They’re desperate for a loaner from us for the rest of the season so I’m wondering who if anybody they’re going to get to push this through early. -

Given the state of affairs before Gerrard arrived I would agree that if we win this league it will be our greatest title win. And not just for the achievement. The following meltdown from the yahoos will sweeten it for immeasurably. -

Think we might all agree we appear to be heading to come out of this window noticeably stronger. The usual haters have little to say beyond the standard grunts we have become accustomed to. Geriatrics, has beens, bang average, going bust, tick tock, etc. But there are some of a more balanced viewpoint who acknowledge the real depth and quality coming into our squad. From a Hearts forum. -

Good solid tackler excellent passer of the ball. Could be useful. -
If we can keep in touch before the split it may be a significant factor to have both Dorrans and Murphy available for the final post split push. I'm expectant, excited, reservedly confident. The reservedly being in there because as we all know it can fall apart over just a game or two inside a single week. I'm hoping to put some space between us and the chasing pack at a minimum which makes Kilmarnock so key.

Glad to hear him say that Davis and Defoe will "be involved at some point" Makes me all the more eager to see it and encouraged that they may quickly be involved the league matches. Kilmarnock away next week would be a key 3 points towards a title challenge.

I know a woman who does part time voluntary work at St Andrews hospice which she was inspired to do after her father spent his final days in the facility. It should be noted that St Andrews is a registered charity, provides it's services free of charge, and is dependent on charitable donations and voluntary workers to continue. It's a more than worthy cause.

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/46905720 I'm guessing that ends any interest they had in signing Wes who will presumably remain as backup to McGregor. Suits me but maybe not ideal for Wes. -
I’m intending to find a stream on Friday because I’m keen to see if any new signings make an appearance to get them up to speed for the real business. All things being equal this game should result in a routine thrashing. Cowdenbeath may/probably will try to set up to park the bus. Their ideal result would be a draw and replay at Ibrox. That would be much more lucrative for them than actually winning on Friday.

Was too ill to return to his home in Spain after coming here for a Rangers fans event in October and now going to spend the reminder of his life in St Andrew’s Hospice Airdrie. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/fans-rally-round-rangers-hero-13849420

We all know we can't keep Morelos indefinitely but I don't want him leaving this Summer. And especially so if we win the league with a chance at the CL group stages which would be more lucrative than anything we're likely to get for Morelos. Flip side of that coin is that if we win the league the board may decide mission accomplished regarding ending the yahoo dream of 10 in a row. Which may then become let's cash in now, clear the debt and strengthen again from that base. Europe has to be the main objective and the CL group stages are the financial platform for us to eclipse the yahoos again. We have more chance of achieving that with Morelos than without him. And how many millions could CL experience tack on to the eventual price in the Summer of 2020 when he will be even stronger in every way than he is now. -
Reportedly they're still thinking along the lines of a more experienced proven high level man but if Solskjaer continues winning and secures a top 4 spot by the end then they're going to be in a bit of a spot. He's quickly becoming a fan favourite for the job. Let's see what happens when they host Liverpool next month.

Mark Allen: Alfredo Morelos needs Protection from referees
JFK-1 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Early in the season the petulance was our biggest problem with him. The first day red at the sheep being a classic example of it though later rescinded to yellow. But that doesnt help in a game we totally dominated and ended up dropping 2 points which very likely wouldn’t have happened if he had stayed on the pitch. The sheep are another more recent hoodoo we must put to rest. -
