I'm looking for the unexpected from Stevie G and the board and I would say this season they provided that. How many of us expected to be in in the EL group stages plus going into the Winter break challenging for the title after not just winning but totally dominating in a game against the yahoos? Even now they're still surprising me with the signing of the likes of Defoe. So, illogical as it may sound, in the mean time I'm going to continue expecting the unexpected.

Who knows, it's only the first leg.

You may be right but that remains to be seen so I live in hope. I didn't expect to make the Europa group stages but it happened so we just can't tell. We don't know how effective the team will be after the current window far less the Summer window. The current management team are continually surprising me and mostly in a desirable way so hopefully that continues. And in addition I believe our current team and by that I mean including Davis and Defoe could negotiate the path to the CL group stages the yahoos failed at. We need some fortune in the draw.

Yahoos still obsessed with Rangers transfer dealing and accounts, obviously going bust any day now. Someone has to ask "where the money is coming from??" I’m sure the takeover panel will will have something to say soon enough. ? I'm entirely ignorant as to why someone has to ask about the financing of our transfer deals and puzzled as to what a takeover panel has to with it but then i'm pretty much entirely baffled by their obsession with another team that allegedly doesn't even have a history.

My preference is to get all targets in as soon as possible and up to speed with our methods. We have a realistic chance of taking this title and a squad with as much depth as possible can only help. Their barely concealed spitefulness gets up my nose too. But I don't want to be diminishing our chances of that longed for 55 and a crack at the CL group stages where tens of millions are up for grabs just to be as spiteful as they are.

In the case of Defoe though i was always keen to have him I just didn’t expect it to ever become a reality. I think we can be confident it would never have happened if not for our manager. Just one more benefit of having Stevie G.

He's key to our title ambitions and I would be seriously disappointed if he were let go at almost any price with three and a half years remaining on his contract. The opposition hate him, they hate playing against him because he's such a handful. At this stage I don't see anyone offering enough to compensate for the potential loss of a title and a crack at the CL group stages. If we can get there and he performs well there his valuation will skyrocket and maybe then a worthwhile offer may come. But there should be no rush to cash in, we hold all the aces.

I don't think it's as straightforward as comparing ages, theres also the question of have they taken care of themselves and simple DNA. Gordon Strachan was playing at the top level till he was almost 40 because he trained well and took care of himself. Davis and Defoe have reportedly also taken care of themselves unlike another being mentioned in this conversation.

It struck me as questionable since the record is running a story with a quote from Mark Allen stating that Morelos is not for sale. And the fact is I believe we have a real chance of winning this league with Morelos as a key player. And now Defoe may even be a factor in turning him into the finished article.

I'm impressed by the quick obviously planned well in advance activity and hopeful that these signings can make the difference in those games where we have been totally dominant, hubz away comes to mind as a perfect example, but just can't kill it off. Actually i'm a shade more than hopeful. I trust in the wisdom of the management team to know exactly what's required regarding these flaws in our game. I expect the yahoos to continue their stumbling form of this season and if these signings can provide that killer touch in the final third then it's more than on. When the biased media start to believe as they now clearly do I think we can all begin to feel a bit more confidence too.

If we could get to the CL group stages and Morelos were to perform well there think of how much that could add on to the eventual price tag.

It’s all somewhat confusing. Sutton appears to be insinuating that no ban for Morelos could win us the league and now the yahoos themselves are issuing whining statements. It’s confusing because most yahoos I have ever seen talk about Morelos online were largely commenting on how shite he is while mocking our valuation of him. And now suddenly he is the difference between winning a title or not? Confusing indeed.

Was it a conspiracy when Morelos was red carded in the first ten minutes of our first game of the season which happened to be an away game against a side that finished above us the past two seasons? A red card that if I remember correctly was later downgraded to yellow for good reason. But that didn’t help us play this 80 minutes of a game away to a competitor a man down.

The panic appears to be setting in. Think back to the hiring of Gerrard and the mocking that followed it. There is no mocking now while we clearly aim at winning the title in our 3rd year back after allegedly being 'ten years behind Celtic' when we came back. He thinks we can do it and is putting all the excuses in place beforehand.

I’m encouraged that so much business is being tied up so early in the window. Get them in and into training with the squad and our style and up to speed as quickly as possible. Suggests all all this has been researched and mapped out well in advance while the others flounder around.
