A possibility of meeting Progrès again. That would be the favoured one for me. Not just because it's easier opposition than some of the others but also a chance to cleanse that particular stain. Ufa will be favourites but so were we. Still have to negotiate Maribor but I find myself in a confident mood about that. We have now gone 5 competitive games undefeated and aside from the fact that's a good run in comparison to recent seasons the performances have been good and getting better. And the fact is at the end of last season few if any of us would have expected us to be in with a realistic chance of making the play off round.

I'm trying to get over the disappointment by focusing on some positives. First up with 10 men we outplayed them in every way for almost the entire match. And in addition to that we appear to be forming some consistency of performance which has been badly lacking in previous seasons. Plus it seems reasonable to expect that we will get even better as the side further gels even before factoring in as yet unused new additions and more still to come in before the window closes. And Stevie dropping hints that we get an unreasonable proportion of match changing decisions from referees pleases me.

So he pretty much said we don't get the same treatment from refs that others do.

Well here's a stat to mull over. The sheep just matched their points haul against us from last season and needed us to go go down to 10 men with a baffling amount of injury time thrown in to do it. We will get better, they will remain what they are, and hopefully that's the last points they steal from us this season.

Agreed and it doesn't surprise me a bit. Osijek were a far better side than the sheep and we pretty much relatively comfortably negated them and won the tie. But then against Osijek we didn't have an SPL ref and kept 11 men on the park.

His petulance isn't just annoying it's now costing us. We would have flattened them with 11 men on the park. If this league were to be lost by a point or 2 this day would come back to mind for me.

I'm happy we were still dominant when down a man for 90% of the game but the disappointment of being robbed of 2 points at the death is hard to take. When will we ever get a break. We are a far better side than the sheep.
