The guy sounds like a top quality goalkeeper plus an extra defender and even creative midfielder too with his "defence-splitting passes, inch-perfect long balls" thrown in. He's going to be entertaining to watch. This may indeed be the final piece of the puzzle for the defensively questionable Liverpool who have also being adding top quality outfielders. Think they have already spent around 170 million in this window.

We should win this if we can just turn the chances into goals and surely that has to come soon. Gerrard knows the issue and will be working on it. Just as importantly we have the sheep away in 16 days time and i'm expecting to be getting up to full speed for that. Ideal start to the season if we can comfortably take them in their sheep pen.

It's a decent enough record overall but I can imagine the screams of anguish if we were to come back from a tie like Petrocub who have a 1,000 capacity stadium who were playing their first ever Euro match with a 1-1 draw.

I don't know that he actually has a desire to go to China. He has never stated he wanted to be somewhere else and his girlfriend posted on social media that he doesn't want to be anywhere else. In addition if he really does feel out of place in Scotland he has to appreciate that would be magnified ten fold in a place like China.

I don't have any problems with King regarding his commitment to return our club to it's rightful place. He has done everything within our limited means to achieve that. It hasn't all worked out as we would wish but it's not due to lack of commitment and effort from Dave King.

Some people just can't be happy away from where they grew up and there may be a bit of that going on with Morelos. Davie Cooper was a classic example of it. Souness once said that Davie could have been a millionaire many times over in Italy and was good enough to play there but Davie just couldn't go anywhere that was any more than an hour or so from Hamilton.

I believe Nicky Clark was scoring freely at lower levels then struggled as the quality of opposition increased. Might be that his current transfer market value says it all. At just 27 he's valued at 248K on transfermarkt.

Morelos is becoming a bit of an enigma. I would like to see us have a coach who works exclusively with strikers and who better than Ally McCoist to teach this boy and the others how to put a ball in the net.

I expected a win but having not seen any of the game due to work i'm guessing from what I have heard that Shkupi set up to simply not be humiliated at home. I could pull 10 healthy guys off the street who could throw up a wall and make it difficult to score. And these weren't just 10 healthy guys off the street they were professional footballers used to playing together and who were apparently a high scoring outfit in the closing stages of last season.

When you throw in the 10 day trip to Spain I don't think there was any time for friendlies. He had barely around 4 weeks or so including Spain to get this together and that's a severe time limitation. At the end of the day lack of goals aside they never looked in danger of losing the Shkupi tie. Given the lack of games beforehand i'm just glad they got through and expect further improvement to develop. The management know the issues and openly concede it. I'm confident they will be working on it.

All of last season week in week out we complained about the defence and there can be no doubting we now have two young strong central defenders who appear to be working well together. Goldson commented after this match that we were the highest scoring team in the league last season and he's confident the goals will start coming. He has a better insight into what's going on than I do so if he's confident the goals will come I will remain so too. I'm currently pretty unconcerned about the sheep. They couldn't beat us even as we struggled last season while this season we're stronger and they're no better.

The fact it looked different on TV may have been why there was so much disagreement on it here afterwards. I watched it on TV and what I saw was us swarming all over them creating enough good chances to win several matches comfortably. As you say on another night it could have been six or seven nil and hopefully that's what happens in the away leg. Though just one should be enough to clinch it.

All opinion isn't it. He thought we were dominant and so did I and judging from the reports across the media I have read so far they think so too. Still new faces to come into the mix plus one goal next week will put it beyond them and I expect us to get at least one. I can remember seeing one possession statistic during the game which gave us 75% to their 25%. That's pretty dominant.

Think what he said was that he was happy we got the result and were dominant but not so happy that we didn't get a lot more goals given the dominance and chances being created.

Could be said we effectively thrashed them 2-0 but we really need to get the goals going in. Early days still and newcomers still to come into the picture so hopefully it all comes together. The defence is far superior to last season.
