What's this? Where exactly is it not written down?

What does it not say about predicting a draw? 😉

One should not predict a draw in a European 1st leg at home.

A draw is allowed, though frowned upon, in a 2nd leg at home should that be sufficient to progress.

In domestic competitions, any deviation from a Rangers victory is forbidden.

  2. I would like to see Hagi play but I suspect Cantwell will be prefered to him. We may see Hagi as sub.

I would also like to see more of Danilo but again I suspect Dessers will start and Danilo will be a sub.

Lundstram or Jack? I think he will go with Lundstram.

Beale will probably think that this is not the game to experiment, so we'll probably get Lammers, Sima and Dessers

BBC Scotland's Chief Sports Writer, Tom English penned an article pointing out the alacrity of Rodger's last departure from Paradise and highlighted the ensuing fractious relationship left between Rodgers and ra Sellik faithful. Peter took exception and when Sellik held their stage managed press conference to reveal Brendan, BBC Scotland were banned from attending. You can imagine the ensuing collective spluttering?

Tom English will be kept well away until he is prepared to get on his knees in front of Peter.

So how do we obtain the "Tom English is innocent (of traducing Celtic)" T shirts?

  4. From the GPL, I see that the range of FGS is wide. Let's hope that McInnes is also confused on who to target, let alone who will start for us.

Most expect that Kilmarnock will come at us aggressively from the start, so once we nip that in the bud and have some counter attacks, the game hopefully will settle down with us having the majority of possession. if it pans out like that, it will be interesting to see how fluid we can be.

Best case - we get into a comfortable lead and give many of the new boys a run out.

Worst case - Let's not go there.

In the English Leagues this season the exact time lost during goal celebrations will be measured by referees in the coming season, as part of a move to clamp down on dark arts and time-wasting.

Other changes will involve players receiving treatment off the field whenever possible to promote player safety and deter teams from slowing the game. Exceptions include when a goalkeeper is injured or if players from the same team have collided.

In circumstances where a player declines medical assistance, a teammate perceived to then purposely delay the restart will be cautioned. Referees have been reminded to book players who fail to respect the required distance at free-kicks.

These seem to be FIFA directives but I've not heard of any changes to happen in Scotland.

*My gut feeling says that we might miss Hagi and Cantwell through suspension next season, as both tend to be somewhat hot-headed at times.

I agree. Opponents will also have seen this and they will be targeted. It was only when Morelos learned to curb his behaviour that opponents no longer targeted him.

As Cantwell is a wind-up merchant,  he will be the hate figure for anti Rangers folk. I fear that his reputation will precede him and referees will be more likely to dismiss fouls on him, making him more liklely to react.

It's not like Rangers fans to overreact and make rash early judgements based on a preseason testimonial kick about...

    🙄

Watching the game, I was mildly disappointed that we seemed no better than we were last season. Maybe I got caught up in the promise of all the new signings but you are probably correct - it was a testimonial after all.

Thankfully, we wont have to face a team of Newcastle's quality very often. How the team play when we have 70% possession against a packed defence will be interesting to see and make the comparison to last season a bit easier to judge.

  8. Dessers seems an articulate, likeable chap. Not one to wind up opposition fans or become a hate figure for the anti-rangers lot. As things stand at the moment, Cantwell is best place for this role.

What we need to know is what Desser's goal celebration will be. His demeanor in this interview suggests it may be a big smile and a firm hand shake.
