  1. Definitely not Dillon! Dixon is a decent left back but like Wallace at Hearts is better going forward than defending. I think Papac offers a better balance but perhaps a freshness there may be agreeable for next season. Swanson and Russell were both superb at Ibrox the other week while Goodwillie is a fine prospect. Conway I'm less enthused by and I'd want him least despite his greater experience. Generally, I'd hope we can set our sights higher than any of these players.

    Poor Wee Celtic

There have been a few cracking jokes doing the rounds by text. I hope we can save a few more for 10 days time! Come on the bears!
  3. Agree with this completely. I don't think I've ever wanted to win a title as much as this one.
  4. Three in a row will do just fine for now thanks...
  5. We seem to be working properly again...
  6. Such issues seem to be spreading...
  7. Unfortunately we're having a few issues server-side so our back-up forum is open for the moment until we can fix the site in full Apologies! http://gersnet.proboards.com/
  8. Looks like it won't be done tonight according to STV - ach well Friday is ideal!
  9. We just won't know until we find out what his plans are. Too many questions for now but hopefully this will be a positive new era for Scotland's most successful football club.
  10. Johnston's performance as a director/chairman is debatable but I'd agree I'd much rather these people didn't agree to anything until they were completely sure. And I'd also like to think if they still didn't agree, they'd resign immediately if the deal was being pushed through despite their concerns. The fact he isn't suggests he's happy.
  11. #Rangers Chairman Alastair Johnston says he expects #CraigWhyte to complete his takeover of the club within the next 24 hours Liam McLeod - BBC
  12. To be fair Walter won't be here next season so Weiss may play more in his natural position. Much of his best work came when he was in a free role such as against 'Well on Boxing day.
  13. Nope nothing since this morning. Will make a call.
  14. http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/2010/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=407:new-issue-of-no1-fanzine-out-this-weekend&catid=1:articles&Itemid=67 Available from all good-looking, intelligent, funny and extremely rich salesmen near you at Ibrox Stadium this coming Saturday... Featuring all the very best articles, the most accurate inside info and the funniest satire; say no to the Scottish media chancers and say hello hello to your fellow bears with the real inside track!
  15. I predict my ample arse will be twitching through nerves again come early Saturday afternoon....
  16. Jelavic mentioned the Villa link in an interview earlier in the week. But he says he wants to stay.
  17. Also depends on what happens with James Beattie. I think Healy has looked pretty useful when he has featured.
  18. He was inconsistent but when on form he was worth the admission fee alone. Would love to see him back as he'd be extremely useful for the squad.
  19. I believe he's on next to nothing and he's provided a useful back-up option. Depending on his wage demands we may give him an extended contract in the summer.
  20. Minorities are minorities but they are usually more politically vocal and active than the apathetic majority.
  21. He's not had a great season but there's no doubt the lad is an important part of our squad. Sign him up please!
  22. I'd only bother publishing it today if I could do so before any official announcement... Not confident enough yet unfortunately.
  23. All things considered (today's media comments, Whyte in Edinburgh and latest good news via the grapevine) I think we must be closer than ever before. I'm just debating whether to write a main site article welcoming Whyte to Rangers. But that's a bit riskier than sharing texts...
