  12. I could easily post a few alternatives to PLG's version of events above but this already happened on RM 18 months ago. I don't see what myself or the Trust would gain out of re-enacting a 'battle' neither of us arguably won. Which is why MD and DE's behaviour the other day puzzled me even more. Anyway, I'm away to bed now so I'll be happy to answer any questions (as best I can) on Tuesday when I return to work. Hopefully there will be no need and tomorrow's AGM should give us enough material for a month until the club is sold.
  13. Smoke and mirrors are likely but that shouldn't stop us all asking a few relevant questions to try and get some suitable answers.
  14. I know exactly what they are doing and quite frankly the guilty parties should be embarrassed with their lack of professionalism and dignity. In a period where the Trust need to lead, need to unify and need to be transparent; they have done the opposite.
  15. My moral compass is perfectly fine thanks. I'll also thank you not to question my honesty and integrity so flippantly. I'm completely comfortable with the way myself (and my resigned colleagues) conduced ourselves last spring and felt we said more than enough for people to make up their own minds on what happened. Going over it again (IMO) is only going to reopen old wounds (healed for some but not others unfortunately) and it certainly won't help anyone but those who yearn for some kind of gruesome, public surgery of an injury received 18 months past. The Rangers Supporters Trust remains an organisation open to anyone who is interested in it and a few posts on an internet forum will do little to change its aims, directions and strategy over the coming months with regard to anything - never mind the ownership policy. Ergo, instead of going over old battles, why not do something more constructive and challenge the organisation properly to ensure the job is done properly. May or may not work but it will be more successful than discussing an event that is consigned to history.
  16. We stated very clearly at the time why we resigned. Since that time, as you know, I led a new project called STS and asked the Trust to get involved by email (a few of the resigned people also contributed). That tells you that I was more than prepared to leave the past in the past in order to achieve the aims I felt I still shared with the organisation. I was ignored. Since I resigned I've been referred to as 'spineless', 'stupid', 'jealous' and out to 'trash the trust' as part of a 'gang of 7' by senior RST Board members because I've done what any Rangers fan and interested RST observer/supporter would do and ask relevant questions and constructively criticise the organisation when necessary. This has all happened while I've also helped the organisation behind the scenes with a few small issues and defended them strongly when they've been criticised unfairly across the community. I've also never been personal with anyone despite the strongest of provocations. As such, I'll again let the casual neutral decide who wants to heal any rifts and who doesn't.
  17. I'm really not sure what you want me to say? The 7 lads who resigned last year released a full statement on why we felt we needed to resign (Zappa has posted it above). There were full debates on it afterwards on here and other forums about this (if IIRC, the one on RM was particularly interesting). From that it was up to the individual Rangers supporter (Trust member or not) to decide who they believed as what one had was basically two alternative viewpoints on the events behind the scenes. If you, or anyone else, has any further questions then I'd be happy to answer them as I've absolutely nothing to hide. However, I don't really think the answers would prove all that useful in the current climate and I certainly don't fancy reading more of the nonsense I did this time last week as the same situation as when we resigned still stands now: i.e. two different sides to a story none of us can really prove with any sort of facts.
  18. Just turn up with your name address and shareholder reference number mate. A few of us will be meeting up beforehand if you want to join us
  19. I think plenty was said at the time and I don't see what anyone would have to gain from going over it again now. I also doubt all that many bears are really that interested to be perfectly honest. Most want to concentrate on the positive stuff as opposed to the nonsense we've read from some of late.
  20. I helped put the site together for a mate and despite the photographer's best efforts the pictures on the site really don't do Geo's work justice. George had a few of these on display the Goram dinner the other week and everybody was amazed at the quality of his work. He received a fair few orders from that alone but is obviously keen to reach more fans online and I think £200 is a very reasonable price for a piece of art which can be unique to you. There is also likely to be another display of the artwork at the WRC over the coming months. If you get a chance, nip along and have a look as even if you're not interesting in buying, you'll enjoy viewing George's efforts so far.
  21. Struggling to find that extra Christmas gift for the one you love? What do you get for the man (or woman) in your life that has everything associated with the World's most successful club? Books, clothes, strips, programmes, photos and general memorabilia - we've all got them; which means there isn't a great deal of items around that are totally unique or which can be personalised to our own favourite Rangers moment. Step forward George Thomson and the 'Art of Rangers'! http://www.theartofrangers.co.uk As you can see from this superb artist's new website, George has a range of items available to fans interested in very special Rangers art. From classic images of Ibrox Stadium, to the playing legends we all know and love; in the galleries of his site George has captured the very essence of the club we love. Incredibly George can tailor any Rangers moment or image to your exact needs so feel free to get in touch now. Every painting costs just £200! About the artist George Thomson was born in 1970 and had sold his first painting by the age of 14. He went straight into a design studio with the local Council on leaving school at 16. Geo started working as a freelance artist in his early 20s whist also gaining a degree in Graphic Design in the process. By the age of 30 he had successfully set up a thriving business as a chalkboard artist, but always keen to progress his artistic skills, moved into the area of contemporary pop art. Starting off with movies and music he soon found his passion was for sport. For the last several years he has specialised in mostly football and MMA, working closely with the stars of both. This year alone he has raised over £10,000 for the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow, by donating 5 of his High Profile Commissions for auction. With the history, characters, passion and presence of Glasgow Rangers, he feels he has finally found his calling; saying "Every new Rangers painting represents a wee bit of history, from the old guys like Hubbard and Simpson, through the '72 team, then 9IAR to the present day. We all have our special Rangers moments and helping relive them via my paintings, makes it all worth while."
  22. http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/2010/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=174 Could have picked a few folk today but considering the criticism I often aim his way I was delighted to see Steven Davis play much better so I'll give it to him! :sd:
  23. Yeah, I doubt any of these people will attend but what I meant was perhaps they can gauge shareholder support from what questions are asked as well as judge the club/bank's intentions via the answers. From that they may then be in a position to offer more information. Certainly we'll need a lot more than we have right now.
  24. No matter what Boss would have said sans Trust dig or not, some people would have used his article as a reason to open old wounds. The continued 'gang of 7' maliciousness as well as well-trodden myths about why some of these board members resigned 18 months ago (as well as our alleged political stance about aspects of the club then) are direct evidence of that. Perhaps the people responsible for these equally unnecessary digs will apologise as well so we can start with a fresh slate during this vital time for all. Obviously, I'm sure boss didn't apologise simply to look for one back but I'm glad he's been the gentleman here and taken the lead. I'm sure we'll all be taking about much more interesting stuff next week!
  25. Yeah, doubts remain but Boss' article certainly ensured some of those doubts were answered - if still without the depth we'd all like. I guess we can only wait and see how it all plays out. I certainly suspect we don't know much less than anyone else though through all the speculation and lack of real facts. What is fair to say is that Duffy and/or the fan groups need help in terms of putting forward people who the support can buy into. That won't be easy given several weeks down the line we're no closer to seeing that but next week's AGM may catalyse the situation somewhat.
