I helped put the site together for a mate and despite the photographer's best efforts the pictures on the site really don't do Geo's work justice. George had a few of these on display the Goram dinner the other week and everybody was amazed at the quality of his work. He received a fair few orders from that alone but is obviously keen to reach more fans online and I think £200 is a very reasonable price for a piece of art which can be unique to you. There is also likely to be another display of the artwork at the WRC over the coming months. If you get a chance, nip along and have a look as even if you're not interesting in buying, you'll enjoy viewing George's efforts so far.

Struggling to find that extra Christmas gift for the one you love? What do you get for the man (or woman) in your life that has everything associated with the World's most successful club? Books, clothes, strips, programmes, photos and general memorabilia - we've all got them; which means there isn't a great deal of items around that are totally unique or which can be personalised to our own favourite Rangers moment. Step forward George Thomson and the 'Art of Rangers'! http://www.theartofrangers.co.uk As you can see from this superb artist's new website, George has a range of items available to fans interested in very special Rangers art. From classic images of Ibrox Stadium, to the playing legends we all know and love; in the galleries of his site George has captured the very essence of the club we love. Incredibly George can tailor any Rangers moment or image to your exact needs so feel free to get in touch now. Every painting costs just £200! About the artist George Thomson was born in 1970 and had sold his first painting by the age of 14. He went straight into a design studio with the local Council on leaving school at 16. Geo started working as a freelance artist in his early 20s whist also gaining a degree in Graphic Design in the process. By the age of 30 he had successfully set up a thriving business as a chalkboard artist, but always keen to progress his artistic skills, moved into the area of contemporary pop art. Starting off with movies and music he soon found his passion was for sport. For the last several years he has specialised in mostly football and MMA, working closely with the stars of both. This year alone he has raised over £10,000 for the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow, by donating 5 of his High Profile Commissions for auction. With the history, characters, passion and presence of Glasgow Rangers, he feels he has finally found his calling; saying "Every new Rangers painting represents a wee bit of history, from the old guys like Hubbard and Simpson, through the '72 team, then 9IAR to the present day. We all have our special Rangers moments and helping relive them via my paintings, makes it all worth while."

http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/2010/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=174 Could have picked a few folk today but considering the criticism I often aim his way I was delighted to see Steven Davis play much better so I'll give it to him! :sd:

Yeah, I doubt any of these people will attend but what I meant was perhaps they can gauge shareholder support from what questions are asked as well as judge the club/bank's intentions via the answers. From that they may then be in a position to offer more information. Certainly we'll need a lot more than we have right now.

No matter what Boss would have said sans Trust dig or not, some people would have used his article as a reason to open old wounds. The continued 'gang of 7' maliciousness as well as well-trodden myths about why some of these board members resigned 18 months ago (as well as our alleged political stance about aspects of the club then) are direct evidence of that. Perhaps the people responsible for these equally unnecessary digs will apologise as well so we can start with a fresh slate during this vital time for all. Obviously, I'm sure boss didn't apologise simply to look for one back but I'm glad he's been the gentleman here and taken the lead. I'm sure we'll all be taking about much more interesting stuff next week!

Yeah, doubts remain but Boss' article certainly ensured some of those doubts were answered - if still without the depth we'd all like. I guess we can only wait and see how it all plays out. I certainly suspect we don't know much less than anyone else though through all the speculation and lack of real facts. What is fair to say is that Duffy and/or the fan groups need help in terms of putting forward people who the support can buy into. That won't be easy given several weeks down the line we're no closer to seeing that but next week's AGM may catalyse the situation somewhat.

Most decent of you to apologise Boss. Obviously, our support should never be afraid of asking legitimate questions of any party involved in the likely takeover of our club and while any such debate should remain constructive at all times, it should also be open to every fan who is about to be asked to invest their money into any new ownership model.

Interesting - probably something to do with your web/security settings

I don't think so unfortunately... Didn't think it was that intrusive. It is a beta install so hopefully the full version will allow people to switch it on and off in their user CP.

Yeah, the whole experience thing has to be a contributory factor to the decreasing crowds.... The Stuttgart game was like no other European match I've ever been to at Ibrox. Really was a sad reflection of Scottish sport and society that such occasions have been sanitised to the point of library status. But, poor tactics and performances don't help obviously. And the £40 ticket price was a joke. All this and more needs to be addressed.

Don't all rush at once...!

# No-one else has indicated an interest yet - formally or informally. Obviously the extent of Duffy's own plans is open to debate as, like you say, there's not a lot to hang your hat on. Like anything to do with the club at the moment, we're basing our debate on hope rather than expectation at this stage.

Click on the arrows to the right of it and it will minimise... It's used for sharing/searching purposes.

I'd imagine if there are other serious parties in this consortium they'll be a bit more enquiring than any junior bank officer. As such if Duffy has to open up his finances to anyone, they'll make sure he does so. If and when that happens, hopefully we can then trust the other names that will inevitably appear before Xmas.

Assembly to investigate ways of providing ownership scheme to fans..

Of course, it wasn't just the article author who had come to that conclusion but many fans on RM and other forums - including FF. That article is also exactly why we have these two further interviews today. Ergo, I'm sure Boss will be saying 'job done' this morning - even if he may reconsider any future article content very carefully to avoid some of the crap we've seen be thrown since. Like you and Bluedell say, we move on though so today's comments from Duffy and the Assembly are most welcome in that regard.

Amen to that Bluedell...

Some interesting info from the RSAssembly President after I asked him what plan of action are the Assembly looking to follow in terms of approaching the wider supporters community regarding any new owner and/or associated fan ownership scheme? He replied:- 22 replies

I'd imagine like any prospective owner he'll want to know the views on the more active supporters as he launches his bid. Anything else would be bad planning. However, unlike some are suggesting, I doubt any criticisms of him will bother him all that much and I read his comments as very much tongue-in-cheek. As were boss' to a reasonable extent.

Sums it up well for me Danny. Also, Andy's point about there arguably not being a better manager in charge while we undergo all this upheaval is a valid one which I agree with.

You make some fair points mate but given the club's current position and our recent record with a single rich 'sugerdaddy' I don't blame any fan for showing doubt and asking the correct questions where required.# That isn't invasive but wholly prudent. If Duffy (or anyone else) is genuinely interested in being our 'saviour', then a few criticisms and questions (as well as a touch of mischief-making as he puts it) should be easily answered and water off a duck's back.
