  1. Last day for this gentlemen...
  2. Been offline over the weekend (needed a break after that gutless display at Pittodrie) but suffice to say the same questions remain... 1. Why do the Trust back this horse now after saying the same thing about King being the 'only show in town' only a few weeks ago? 2. What do Duffy et al offer to make the rest of us back them? 3. What are the Trust doing to lend weight to them being the fans' body to progress the above? Still too many questions than answers at this stage. Perhaps all parties could garner more support if they answered a few instead of playing this out in the media like some sort of circus sideshow...
  3. Ach, I don't think anyone is being overly critical - just hoping that these young men have their full attention on their job before they go and have fun on their Xmas night out. Certainly a bit of team-bonding wouldn't go amiss after a poor midweek result and some tetchy comments in the media about our AWOL star centre-half.
  4. ...where many Rangers supporters find it tough to conjure up the match-day ticket money to follow The Gers, that the Rangers first-team squad will be flying to Manchester from Aberdeen directly after the Sheep game to enjoy themselves on a well-earned night out. Well..........not all of them will be heading south. Some can't afford the two-grand required for the 'kitty'. Nice work if you can get it, huh? [From our No1 Editor chum]
  5. Looks like he'll be playing tomorrow in any case. Would be surprised if Wilson was dropped so perhaps Bougherra will play at right back?
  6. I don't think there is any point in going over old ground here... I'm sure UCB will tell us more if or when progress is made.
  7. I think they did say it would take a few weeks before they'd have something concrete to go to the support with...
  8. Yeah, fair comment mate... I noticed Celtic have begun a new initiative using a Kirkintilloch school to 'employ' and teach young lads full-time much like what AMMS recommended in our STS report. It is this kind of scholarship idea which other countries use so successfully and why we're several years behind many other countries in this regard.
  9. I guess some people will say that people who actually attend matches regularly (e.g. season ticket holders) are supporters while those that simply follow the fortunes of the club from their armchair are fans. It's not as simple as that obviously though.
  10. Furthermore, if Redknapp is desperate for a new defender, why would he sign one that can't play for a month in January?
  11. Interesting - certainly goes against what Bougherra says here... http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/spl/2748305/I-owe-you-gaffer.html
  12. So no apology to the fans or the club for being late back.
  13. Webster cannot be recalled until the end of the season IIRC...
  14. Welcome to the forums ya weebluesoandso...
  15. What are you? Do you have a season ticket for Ibrox?
  16. http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/spl/2746833/Zolas-out-to-net-Al.html Reckon we could get more than £4million for McGregor although I do think if we're to sell one player in January, then he'll probably be the one given we have Alexander ready to step up once more.
  17. The good thing is we don't have to sell Wilson as much as we'd maybe like to sell one of our other high earners. Also, with Bougherra at the lash and missing in January anyway, any move for Wilson is unlikely to be in January.
  18. Agree with Craig... I was one of Thomson's biggest fans before his latest injury but since he's returned he's been dreadful. Tuesday night was his 13th game of the season so he should really be sharper and more mobile than he has been by now.
  19. Yeah, there is certainly a fair amount of interest in the lad but I'd be surprised if he wanted to move right now. He's playing regularly beside one of the game's best tutors so it wouldn't make a great deal of sense for him to move to another club where he'd probably not play for another few years.
  20. Bloody hell, that was quick! You're absolutely welcome mate - delighted you enjoyed the book! Bluedell held my hand and we talked about love, flowers and everything in between while we waited for God's contribution!

    Coisty

I think most people don't fancy McCoist as if Smith is sacked or has to resign due to poor performance (i.e. not winning the SPL) then the rest of the management team will be seen as culpable. Of course if Smith does win the SPL again this season and decides to retire, then people may be more likely to accept McCoist stepping into his shoes. Either way, because of the continued financial issues at the club, Rangers will be looking for a cheap option. Those after a Hiddink or a Michael Laudrup are likely to be disappointed.
  22. Bougherra now looking like he'll miss the Celtic game in early January... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1231001/EXCLUSIVE-Frequent-flyer-Madjid-Bougherra-intends-Algeria-Rangers-again.html?ITO=1490
  23. Yep, good stuff and I'd recommend anyone who is going to Seville and can make this meeting, attend Ibrox and listen to what these good bears have to say.
  24. Good opening post Gisabeer... I certainly share your opinion on Smith's flaws but I'm also unsure it is as clear-cut as some say when they offer criticism. As I posted elsewhere, and it isn't a reason alone to keep Smith, I don't think we could find a better manager to deal with everything that is happening at the club at the moment. I appreciate that sounds a bit contradictory given I agree with your criticism but football management isn't always as simple as it can be made out to be.
  25. Yeah, was a strange thing to do when Stuttgart have players like Cacao and Hleb who are all about exploiting space to receive the ball and create. The room in behind Whittaker early on showed this to be the case perfectly.
