We don't have the mental character to win anything never mind a league title. Still in shock tonight after an excellent first half full of passion, industry and commitment. How these qualities can disappear after only 15 mins of the second half is beyond my comprehension?

Rangers V Heart Of Midlothian ââ?¬â?? Match Report & Players Ratings
Frankie replied to CammyF's topic in Rangers Chat
Thought McGregor did very well with two superb saves and had no chance at the goals. I thought Dailly actually had a decent game but would like to see the Hearts goals again before deciding who was to blame. Papac, Davis, Mendes and Boyd were all woeful. Naismith and Novo were poor when they came on and, as usual, our team gave up the ghost as soon as Hearts showed a semblance of spirit. We just can't cope with our confidence being knocked. Fragile of mind and body. -
Might have been Jon - can't remember myself. They seem to contradict each other in the press so that may lend weight to a more feisty relationship than I may have alluded to...

We can only hope McCoist is doing the above... Then I'd respect him more than simply being another member of a management team that appears devoid of ideas to bring back the SPL title. But without inside info I guess I'm being rather harsh...
-
So what is McCoist saying about it? If it were me I'd be chapping the manager's door and demanding answers. If my decisions weren't to be trusted or acknowledged then I'd be considering resignation.

Bottling the UEFA Cup Final ââ?¬â?? Fact or Fiction?

Aye, that is one thing that annoys the hell out of me at games... Always takes us about 10mins to make the sub even after deciding we're doing it....- 14 replies

Rangers must axe Barry Ferguson before they blow chance of winning title
Frankie replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
The worst thing is that with every game the lad plays in the team, it is further chance for any interested parties (if they even exist) to see just how ineffective he has become. Viola should be offering him to Arabian/North American sides where he can semi-retire without taking circa £25K per week from us. -
Yep, the teamsheet tomorrow will certainly give an indication of Smith's stubbornness. However, I must question your defence of McCoist mate. While I agree it's unlikely he'd do any worse, he is the one supposedly in charge of cup games, yet he made some poor decisions last week. Even if he wasn't in charge last Sunday, in that game (and others) he is just as responsible as Smith regarding tactics and personnel.

Herald: Former Conservative Leader Sees Through Sectarianism Sham

Mate, the lack of coverage of McLetchie's comments in other parts of the media is a disgrace. But it certainly validates our concerns about the usual suspects and their intentions of course. -
From the lads at Gersforum who have appeared to have a security problem...

That's what Spiers is suggesting - even if Salmond may not have realised it before publication. Mischief making by Spiers and I've emailed the First Minister to ask him about it. -

That's funny TB as I've just checked the Times and can't find Graham Spiers mentioning it either? Must be having a long lie today; I'm sure we'll see it later. -

Thanks for posting that... Great news!!!! -
Of course there are no guarantees in football. However, we can base our expectations on confidence in our the kind of virtues successful teams have. Virtues sadly lacking which means any confidence is minimal. To be clear I still think we can win the title and certainly haven't surrendered it. However, I think it is most unlikely based upon the evidence befoe me.

Sums it up perfectly.

I'd argue we won't win a damn thing because our players and manager are too cautious... That's are point so it's obvious that eventually we'll suffer from the same traits. You can't have one without the other. Criticism is natural when the team are playing bad continually. I'd see the point if we only had 20,000 at matches but our fans are buying season tickets and attending away matches in record-breaking numbers. Our loyalty and belief can't be questioned in situ - even if on forums etc we're struggling to be confident. And what happens then. The manager et al shirk responsibility again by moaning about that criticism. This is all one huge vicious circle and we need leadership to get out of it. That can only come from the club even if some fans are trying to apply positive criticism via projects like ours.
-
Cal, some fans (including myself) be 'gutless' but it isn't without good reason. And I don't see many people being gleeful about it. The facts are many problems still exist at the club. I agree some fans should try and rise above it (and many do) but having the same rubbish thrown at us week after week means people will get fed up. As such, unhappiness and negativity will prevail over optimism and positivity. That's sad but true. It's primarily up to the management and the players to change that. There is only so much investment and support the fans can provide without true leadership from the actual club.

Unacceptable, Inexplicable But Totally Predictable

Unacceptable, Inexplicable But Totally Predictable
Frankie replied to CammyF's topic in Rangers Chat
Possibly. Certainly an unprecedented fixture list and awful officiating added to the challenge... Unfortunately, we haven't built on such a 'moral' victory. The Kaunas loss was unacceptable while our transfer dealings and financial management have contributed to where we are now. I see little evidence of improvement and more examples of the same mistakes (on and off the field). Like I say, I admire your optimism but am struggling to match it. At Ibrox on Saturday though I'll be shouting as loud as anyone trying to make others believe it. I'm glad you're able to do that here...
