  1. Yup, you are missing the statement they made about why they left. Im fairly sure it was a newsnow article posted from here.
  2. When you wrote this did you realise that this is precisely what the people who resigned did, or are you talking about the remaining trust members and Im missing the point again?
  3. Ah. That makes sense. Thought we were talking past each other - I wasnt clear enough in my first post at all, reading it back. The ridiculous turn Im referring to is that people who left on a matter of conscience, and made a statement about why they left, somehow have more to do to maintain their honesty and integrity than what they did. As for the trusts response of thanking those who left and electing never to talk about it; well people can make of that what they will.
  4. They made a statement about why they left. Im not even sure what the trustworthy comment refers to.
  5. I guess Im going to have to play ignorant here - from my reading it said they formed a special meeting to force the resignation of the chairman, so they could oust people that disagreed with them. And so they quit. Am I missing something?
  6. What are you disagreeing with?
  7. What a ridiculous turn this conversation has taken. The members who resigned made a public statement for trust members. Presumably its still available on the archive. I can perfectly well understand frankie not wanting to go through it all again; those who resigned have no obligations to trust members, as they obviously felt they served them in resigning and saying why.
  8. I wouldnt be apologising m8; article writers are not a vehicle for objective truth, after the Vienna Circle we have slowly came to terms with the fact (heh) that facts are always presented with some authorial stance. Your article done infinitely more good than harm; if you offended the sensibilities of a millionaire and/or the trust, the problem is theirs and they should have wider shoulders. The best leaders welcome things that question their authority because they have the answers.
  9. Didnt sit down for the stuggart game hardly. Most people in TBO stand most of the game. Dont think its a hard and fast rule, but, then, I dunno.
  10. As so soon ye shall be.... muhahahaha..... welcome to the forum
  11. right, enough of this you lot. keep it on topic. kenny and magic are pals again, thats whats important here...
  12. Just to prove we could argue about anything on here... Yes. Vespas are amazing. Mod clothes are amazing. And the fashion industry sells everyone something they didnt already have If you didnt look back on what you wear now and cringe the chances are you are taking life too seriously We arra mods, we arra mods! :spl:
  13. Motor bikes are for poofs, real men drive Vespas!
  14. I was going to bow to the mug's spelling convention, but if it canny even spell relations then I'm not listening to it...
  15. LOL! We can only wonder...
  16. I dunno man, given its like a phonological representation of dialect, I think fitbaw is more Glaswegian than fitba. Fitba seems more like chookterish Its all dilemma - but as my sociolinguistic dude said, there is no right and wrong with spelling and grammar, just convention and social prestige. Like the "proper" spellings we have are just the codification of a southern english dialect by people like caxton (or who-eve it was that brought the printing press here) because it was his own. Then people like Sheridan tried to convince everyone they should not only spell things the same, but pronounce it the same, and then BBC English was later born off this idea, and the notion of a "proper" way to speak became popular. Aye, Im sticking with "fitbaw" but each to his own.
  17. Aye, being right has rejuvenating properties. I'm likewise done talking about the RST, though. I'm done with the maybe-it'll-work-out-good, oh-no-they've-gone-and-said-something-else-petty cycle. Sticking to the fitbaw now
  18. ... said the man who's started most RST threads
  19. i think kirk broadfoot is a pretty decent defender. as frankie said, though, i'm just madly excited about the prospect of any venture down the opposition left wing being even 1% less frightening, and kb represents that.
  20. I remember hearing he got appointed, and have never heard anything since, much less having heard it from gough hating rangers fans. So sticking that together I assumed he never set the (wee)h eather alight, and indicated my lack of being sure by framing it with a question. There was no myth being peddled, just the dull grumbling of my reasoning faculties working with the duller grumblings of my memory
  21. Wow, bit of an overreaction. Cant really be garbage if it wasnt claiming anything. It wasnt a rhetorical question. Dont need google when I can ask questions. A "no, actually his record was pretty good" would have sufficed, but at least I now have the info thanks to your post
  22. Nice. Quite a bold step for the normally conservative RSA.
  23. To be honest, I might've been skim-reading but I didn't even see anything other than more facts about our potential new dude. I didn't catch the RST references on a first reading, and when I read it back I pretty much assumed they would already know about these things, and had more information. This was posted, a few people posted 'all true, but may not matter because Bermuda' and other sorts of reasonable things. It prompted a few reservations and some more information and that was that. But now that they're acting like people are trying to pull the carpet from under them, and show they've done no research, I'm beginning to wonder if its the case I had pretty much made up my mind that I would set aside any personal reservations I have about the RST if they come up with something half decent. This is a once in a fair-few lifetimes opportunity to be involved in something great and new and innovative, and I don't want to miss that opportunity. But every statement the Trust-sans-UCB make I'm finding it harder to imagine that a new Rangers with these people close to the corridors of power could be anything other than an undisciplined, undecorous, farce. I wanted to apply Tannochsidebear's cometh the hour cometh the man sentiment about Bain to this, but it's getting too hard
  24. The worst thing about that is that is not the sentiment, but that they chose to express it. If they were pissed off, and wanted to undermine boss they could have just said 'We are encouraged Rangers fans are taking the time to investigate these things, and we are sure in the fullness of time, and in the challenging process over the next weeks and months, any fears will be subdued. While clearly working only on partial facts, we still encourage all supporters to investigate as much as is possible, and try to go forward with an open mind' or something.
  25. My biggest problem is them running to the police. Players should hold themselves to a higher standard as getting abuse is part of their job description and a lot of the fun of football. When they respond they should be disciplined by, like, the SFA or the club, depending on the relative severity of the offense. Involving the police in something like this is beyond ridiculous. The problem is precedent. If, say, playing an imaginary flute is inciting religous hatred then so is Boruc blessing himself etc.
