  1. There is no doubt that going on loan is massively beneficial to young players hoping to break into the first team. For reasons unknown to anyone other than Murty and Mulholland loans are only deemed suitable for certain lads is beerman, wright, mccrorie, lyo n and thompson. Several other young playershaveasked repeatedly to go on loan and have been told playing in the u20s games programme is better than going on loan. I don't agree this, I think p!aying with u 20 s is detrimental to the development of the fringe first team youngsters, don't know what murty and mulholland are thinking, as a parent it is extremely worrying
  2. https://rangers.co.uk/news/academy-news/myles-heads-queens/ Myles Beerman to Queen of South to end of season
  3. Like I said on another thread, such a shame for our own talented boys who have been giving their all at Auchenhowie for years, who would want to be a youth player at Rangers? The lads (apart from McCrorie) have got no chance.
  4. Such a shame for the youth players, moving further down the pecking order yet again, some of them did very well under Pedro, Murty, the former U20s coach seemingly less interested in giving youth a chance than Pedro was, really hope Rangers let the youth players who are not in their plans move on elsewhere to somewhere where they will be given a chance, lots of talented youngsters at Auchenhowie, hate to see it being overlooked.
  5. Quite a lot of the U20s are away on international duty, so would be interested to see who plays in this, would imagine Bates, Nemane, Dalcio, Liam Kelly will get some much needed game time with the likes of Mayo, Stephen Kelly, Scott Gray, Cammy Palmer, Grant Nelson etc getting a run out.
  6. I don't know whether the transfer request is true, but for Ryan's sake I am not sure playing for Rangers U19s is the best thing for him, albeit that playing against European/English opposition is good for development, Ryan is 21 I think and I am not sure playing in a team of U19/U18 against U19/U18s is ideal. I know his previous loan experiences maybe didn't work out as well as hoped, and I am not sure another loan spell come January is the best thing either. One thing for sure though is the lad can score goals and has a bright future ahead of him, whether he stays with Rangers and makes it into the first team or if he moves on elsewhere.
  7. Wasn't at the game but heard from parents who were that the lads played very well against a very physical/brutal Brentford team. Young Finlayson (16) was injured early on and was replaced by Dallas who is not a defender but he played his heart out at the back, not his natural position. The highlights show only a few moments of the game, the Brentford Manager was apparently very impressed with our youngsters, and the lads themselves who are probably more critical of themselves than anybody were very happy with their performance.
  8. 5-1 Hardie hattrick, would like to see more of this laddie in the first team
  9. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/1635219/kenny-miller-pedro-caixinha-rangers-toronto-trip-axe/ Strange it says Kenny helping with u20s in London, boys fly down on Sunday morning, play game then back on Sunday night as far as I am aware
  10. All 3,trained with first team this morning so not playing tonight
  11. According to Twitter Alves will not be in Glasgow on Saturday seeing a specialist McCrorie and Cardoso will be CB pairing, sure Ross will be solid
  12. Has there been any updates regarding Alves and John's injuries? I see from today's training pics a few youngsters were involved, the pics didn't show the main players just the ones who didn't play the full game on Tuesday, Pedro possibly keeping his cards close to his chsst?
  13. Never posted a tweet before so apologies if it doesn't work
  14. Rossiter was superb boys a player Aidan Wilson scored equaliser in injury time
  15. It was psv u23s, our lads are mainly 17 and 18, also psv fielded a 25 year old, psv also beat Liverpool 3-1 who like us were a young team, psv won the tournament, would have been interesting to see Rangers u19 play psv u19, would have been more evenly matched
  16. I agree I didn't see much of him playing for St Mirren or Raith but I have seen him play for Rangers U20s and Scotland U20s and there is no two ways about it, the boy scores goals.
  17. Looks like it, I know he gets a lot of negativity but the boy can score goals, also scored for Scotland U20s recently, twice I think, there is a player there, and he's still just a young lad.
  18. O'Halloren and Forester never really turned up, not interested. Should bear in mind that the 20s last year beat this team 6-0. Aiden Wilson and Barjonas have both asked to go out on loan but Mulholland won't let them, wants them playing with U20s, they are no longer part of the first team squad. This U20s team will not be able to compete against the teams they will be facing. Looks like a bit of a disaster ahead for them.
  19. All this talk about signing this and signing that, look at what the manager has signed so far, some look possibly quite good some look absolutely rank rotten. We have boys in our U20s who would have done a better job last night, boys who did do a better job than that at the end of last season, thrown in at the deep end and rose to the challenge. Such a shame for these lads, what happens to them now? The best thing for them is to go out on loan until they can get out of their contracts and then move on.
  20. Aidan McAdams, 18 year old goalkeeper, signed from Celtic on a 3 year deal for an undisclosed fee, preferred choice goalie for International duty from the 1999 age group, highly rated.
  21. He may make it to the bench, but with Hodson able to play LB as well as RB and Cardoso also apparently able to play LB and Wallace back as first choice LB he isn't likely to get so much game time.
  22. He got a knock in the TNS game, was out training with other injured/coming back from injury earlier in the day.
  23. I think we all know that yesterday's starting 11 will more than likely be the starting 11 for Thursday i.e. Fod, Tav, Bates, Cardoso, Wallace, Jack, Holt, Kranjcar, Dalcio, Waghorn, Miller. Potentially Morelos and Candeias could start ahead of Waghorn and Miller. Feel a bit disappointed for the youngsters that stepped up at the end of last season, some of them may make the Euro squad but unlikely any of them will even make the bench, possibly McCrorie and Beerman. I think the youngsters will end up on loan, shame really because they gave a good account of themselves.
  24. He had a very easy first half, was tested a bit more in the second half but still wasn't troubled at all, never seen anything like it when he heads the ball, he can head it farther than a lot of people can kick it, he's a massive step up in quality from last season.
