  1. If Jack isn't fit, why is he starting so many games? I hear a lot about how injury prone he is but very little about what injuries he is supposed to be carrying. Other than his recent lengthy spell on the sidelines for a specific calf injury (which would have been considerably shorter had he been operated on in the first place), is he actually more injury prone than most? I don't know the answer and only ask the question because once a label is applied to a player there seems to be a compulsion for everyone to repeat it.
  2. I don’t think anyone is more disappointed than Ramsey himself. What’s done is done, I’d rather we parted company with him showing generosity instead of bitterness.
  3. Five minutes back and already it starts 🙄
  4. Agreed. I also hope Ramsey plays - I’d like a chance to show some support for him after the other evening.
  5. Btw what was that amazing report you were going to astonish us with? Is it finished yet?😂
  6. Welcome back. How long before you have to leave again this time?
  7. I don’t think anything of the sort. If I did I would have said so. Do you have a view?
  8. Anyone who thinks the team would benefit from letting Jack go is spending way too much time on their phone and not enough watching what's happening on the park .... because it's the most ludicrous suggestion yet.
  9. Accepting defeat is a very long way from seeing it as "good". Accepting defeat is merely acknowledging reality. I haven't heard anyone say it was good to lose. How someone deals with defeat and disappointment tells you a great deal more about them than victory ever will.
  10. I wasn't at the game, I wasn't even in Seville, so the post represents nothing more than commentary of some of the things I've been reading from Rangers fans who were there. There are many accounts of the stadium being unable to supply water to Rangers fans, with people in a state of distress due to heat and dehydration. I also read that UEFA has apparently accepted their responsibility and apologised. I read about Rangers substitutes carrying bottled water to fans and the Rangers doctor offering medical assistance in one case. I also read that a large TIFO display was organised but banned by UEFA, despite having approved similar for the Frankfurt fans and failed to prevent pyrotechnics entering the Frankfurt end of the ground. We all know how conspiracy theories can run out of control and I wouldn't want to give undue credence to something that is probably unprovable. All I'm saying is that if you wanted to neutralise the energy that Rangers offer their team, you could do worse than leave them to dehydrate in the Spanish heat. Perhaps Gersnet members who were there might offer further insight into what many are calling appalling and dangerous arrangements in a totally inadequate stadium?
  11. Bassey
  12. I have a feeling GvB and his team will long ago have decided where this team needs strengthened. Surely the way the Rangers brand has been enhanced recently will only help their mission.
  13. Less than it would have been had we won last night, obviously. I think it's worth bearing in mind that many of our players have been punching as far above their weight as the team did in Europe this season. We didn't field a team full of quality players, we fielded a decent team that got to a European final in some measure because of the Ibrox factor. I've posted several times that our recovery/rebuilding still has a distance to travel. At least I hope to God it has. This isn't the end of the journey back and I expect we will have considerably more success ahead of us. It's not a criticism of anyone but of the players who played last night, I think ten could readily be improved upon, which is another way of saying our lack of trophies so far is mainly just a factor of where we are in this project.
  14. If only there was a trace of honesty about it. All your post reeked of was panic.
  15. You were bound to get lucky sometime 😉
  16. It all we can ever do. Move on and try to win the next one. We really did come close this time.
  17. Everyone is rightly distraught tonight but you're absolutely right- this isn't the time for mudslinging. Perhaps the biggest disappointment is to see fans already hurling criticism at individual players or the manager. This has been the most amazing roller coaster ride in Europe and everyone contributed to get us to Seville. I wish we were bringing home the trophy and booking our place in the CL ..... but it is what it is and slagging off players a few days before another cup final seems fairly counter productive.
  18. We’re still in this game. Destiny awaits.
  19. Wright is about our only threat so far.
  20. Can’t we just keep it positive for once?
  21. There's definitely a calmness about GvB that has started to rub off on this team. I think it was often mistaken for uncertainty when he first arrived but it seems to me that the real contrast with Gerrard is that GvB has transferred a much greater degree of leadership from the dugout to the field of play.
