That was a hard night to be a spectator - so close yet so far. However, my abiding recollection of that night will always be after the final whistle when they received one of the best ovations any Rangers team in my lifetime and certainly the best at a moment of failure. It was incredibly uplifting, seared into the memory forever.

Better if it hadn’t happened but since it did I hope we found a few targets. -

You really must explain ... what exactly is the point of your incessant bellyaching? -

Considering the pressure these players are under, the weight of games recently and what is at stake next week, I thought there was so much to be proud of today. We are a team that gets stronger as games go on and by the end we were well on top and unlucky not to have won. Some individual players weren't at their best maybe but as a team we seem united and show great determination. We did what we had to do today - we spoiled their party and sent them home greatly subdued. For our part, we go on to another massive test on Thursday and still have a Scottish Cup final in our back pocket. -

Calm down. Last night you were criticising people for being negative. It’s a tight game, one chance missed, one chance taken. The game is far from lost. -

Ha ha don't you think they already have all the impunity they can handle? It's touching to think there are still fans who think our enemies are in the least bit interested in what we say or how loudly we say it. 🤣
-
No there isn't. It's exactly the same people who have always been addicted to negativity. They were there when I started following Rangers and they'll still be there after I'm gone. They exist at every club, in every workplace, in every community. People who are less able to rationalise disappointment will always emphasise the negatives. It's just how it is in life, people are far from equal.
-
Yes, I get all that but the reasons why so many people appear to hate Rangers is utterly irrelevant to the point I was making, which is that continuing to be indignant about something we know won't change is a bit like continuing to complain that the grass is green or the sky is blue and expecting the arrangement to change. How many more pages have to be filled before the penny drops that we're simply shouting in our own private echo chamber? No one is listening, no one is persuaded and the only people who even notice are other Rangers fans. Who is it we think is paying attention to this never-ending indignation? Who exactly are we cataloguing all these grievances for? Who do we think is going to ride over the hill and rescue us from all this injustice? Is there a single Rangers fan who actually believes pointing out "media lies" will somehow put an end to them? Are we really that far removed from reality? It comes across like adolescents who haven't figured out yet how to cope with adversity. Referees cheat Rangers ... yes, they do. The media disrespects Rangers at every opportunity ... yes, they do. The authorities treat Rangers differently ... yes, they do. The SNP regards Rangers fans as unionist pariahs ... yes, it does. But has all the outraged indignation piled high by Rangers fans made the merest iota of difference? More importantly, will it have the slightest effect in future. It doesn't take a genius to know the answer. So ... why do we bother?
-
This is not directed at anyone in particular, I just want to say while I understand the sentiment I don't see the need to express it again and again and again. The fact is that Rangers is generally hated in Scotland and by a wide spectrum of the community. It's been like that for a very long time and it isn't going to change, no matter how often we point it out. It's utterly pointless to constantly highlight the lack of impartiality towards Rangers - everyone knows how it is and no one is ever going to alter their attitude because some Rangers fans compile a list of grievances. Why would anyone hope for a change they already know will never come? It makes no sense.

I felt Connor Goldson wasn't just our best player on Thursday evening but probably gave his best personal performance of the season. He get my MOTM vote by a long way.

Like Braga before them, Leipzig might well have lost their best chance tonight. I didn't see anything better than we've met before. They were ponderous in the buildup and poor in front of goal. Given that they were mostly trying to win and we were mostly trying not to lose, I'd say we have nothing to fear. We might not make the final but it won't be because Leipzig are playing football at a different level than us.
-
To be fair, it’s usually you who’s knocking them 😂😂
-
I’d say we have as much chance of going through to the final as Leipzig do. Game on.
-
Regardless how this turns out, I still find myself slightly surprised to see we can compete at this level. There was a time not so long ago I thought I’d never see us in this company again. Marvellous, savour it.
-
Surprised to see some players being criticised. I thought we did really well first half and everyone played their part

The team selection is as good as it could be, except I'd prefer Arfield's industry to Kamara's dithering. Key objective is to still be in the tie going to Ibrox.
