  1. We were losing a lot of goals when King was starting (albeit a lot of those were in Europe). Lowry would be starting if the manager thought he was good enough.
  2. Not really. Most Ultras groups aren't involved in hooliganism. They're involved in ultra-fanatical support of their team - 100% match attendance, displays, pyro, stickers, uniforms, initiating songs and choreography etc. There are aspects of it I find less than appealing (the more monotone chants and that f*cking drum, for starters) but it's a big thing throughout the footballing world and isn't going away anytime soon.
  3. You might not think quite like that if you were at the match. VAR can be quite frustrating in those circumstances.
  4. Looks like a moan about Beale's decision (to give PT a goal) last week.
  5. Let's discuss this at the Lodge later on.
  6. Not sure about Kamara but what other (available) options do we have?
  7. I'd like to stand at Ibrox but have no intention of ever joining any fan group.
  8. Indeed. The UB displays tend to celebrate our club, whereas the unwashed, plastic Oirish scummy GB displays tend to focus on oppression, vicTimhood and Tories.
  9. The 3pm Saturday KO TV blackout is still in place, so no one can show it. If you take a quick flight to France or Belgium (via VPN airways), you might still catch it on RTV.
  10. Not really. Ultras or whatever you want to call them are similar throughout Europe, in terms of their aims and behaviour. The atmosphere at Ibrox is generally abysmal, so anything that can make it better should be supported. I much prefer standing at the football.
  11. All fair points, SBG. I don't think there's an ideal scenario - we're stuck in a poor league and situated next to the most popular league in the world. And it is a pain when Sky show several games hardly anyone will watch but then skip our away matches and the Edinburgh derby.
  12. I was talking about Scottish football attendances, in general.
  13. I'm not sure showing Scottish football on TV is particularly beneficial to Scottish football. I wouldn't watch a single second of it if I wasn't a Rangers supporter. People who attend matches should always come first and you never know, attendances might go up if it's never on the box.
  14. I think it's good when it's a Saturday 3pm kick off, even though I probably won't see it (as a rule, I don't go to away games). That's when football should be played.
  15. Perhaps a reference to One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest then? Put it (Tillman) in the basket (Rangers squad), chief (Beale/Wilson).
  16. I'm usually the same but I think he means we shouldn't be putting all our eggs in one basket (ie putting everything into the Tillman purchase).
  17. Ah, you might be right. It's hard to keep up with all their conspiracies.
  18. Yes, it's a great boost to the coffers (I presume that's what he means) for the lower league clubs, who get a large cut of the ticket income.
  19. West Edinburgh will need an extra fumigation this season, as a result of tonight's draw. Ach well...
  20. Who we're playing or the final result shouldn't dictate how we react to a decision like the one Beale made yesterday. F*ck Partick Thistle and f*ck the Scottish press.
  21. I wish footballers, in general, would stop kicking the ball out of play whenever someone goes down. It just encourages cheating.
  22. Beale made the wrong call, in my opinion. What Tillman did was what I would encourage every Rangers player to do - treat the opposition with contempt at all times.
  23. Another unimpressive day, on two levels. We need to start clearing some of the older heads out of the squad, pronto.
  24. He wasn't a Supreme choice really, was he.
