  1. You can't blame diddy clubs for celebrating holding us to a draw. The blame game is best left to that other lot.
  2. Craig, did you miss the broken legs and decapitations? ?
  3. I watched it with six other Rangers supporters and three of them were screaming at the TV. I'm beyond that. I just look on thinking, 'I expected that.'. Livvy played exactly as I expected. Rangers played exactly as I expected.
  4. Agreed. Both Jack and Kamara were poor today, particularly Kamara.
  5. Thanks for the insight. Informative and concise, as ever.
  6. I've been saying for ages that SG is just a slightly better version. The problems are very similar.
  7. Evidently not. God help me.
  8. Disappointing but expected. Same old problems with no new solutions.
  9. Are you okay?
  10. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible. The match did remind me a wee bit of the first 15 minutes of Saving Private Ryan due to the sheer scale of violence aimed at our players. It was Hellish in there and I'm surprised there were no fatalities.
  11. It isn't.
  12. The thread definitely has a panto vibe about it. And JFK reminds me of one of those hysterical characters who go mad about things that haven't happened yet.
  13. Mon The Rangers! ??
  14. The implication can be percieved. It isn't exactly what he is saying though.
  15. We will miss Aribo. Our best attacking player, on current form.
  16. He isn't though.
  17. It's obvious we are a far better side when we play fast. It's all about how long we can keep the pacey passing going and capitalising, with goals, when we do.
  18. Guardiola's fault then. There's no chance UEFA will retain the one leg knock out. The CL is run by the big clubs in the big leagues and this would only lessen their chances of continually getting to the latter stages.
  19. City looked a bit off the boil and Guardiola made a bit of an arse of it with his tactics (the game was lost in midfield). The thought of PSG vs RB Leipzig in a European Cup semi final is a bit grim. I think it'll be an all-German final.
  20. At least there'll be no fans at the Toni Macaroni arena. It's usually quite an intimidating venue.
  21. What a thug! ?
  22. I remember growing up watching Football Italia on Channel 4 and you had defenders like Franco Baresi. We all know he was one of the greats but a huge part of his game was the 'dark arts'...being dirty but very clever about it. Fouling forwards but not giving away fouls. I'm not comparing the Livingston players to him or Holt to the great Italian managers but it's all part and parcel of football, particularly if a team are facing superior opponents. When you watch British football from the 70s and 80s compared to now, it's night and day, in terms of the dirty side of the game. I get the impression some people want it to be a non-contact sport played by a bunch of fairies. The same sort of people who want supporters to sit down, behave and never say anything nasty. It's a man's game - or at least it was.
  23. I'd take a stuffy 0-0 over an 8-2 defeat, any day of the week.
  24. Compo, how come you don't get a nine paragraph rant and a Greek philosophical quote when you contradict JFK? ?
  25. JFK omitted the "of the game" from Holt's "do the ugly side" comment and then stated he hadn't mentioned football. Closer to home, was Jock Wallace's,"Got the battle fever on" comment a request for his team to assault the opposition? Then we have several instances of another Rangers manager, Graeme Souness, actually assaulting the opposition (Hibs and Steau Bucharest spring to mind). The Scottish game is more physical than most other leagues. What we lack in footballing prowess, we replace with blood and guts - thus it has aye been.
