  1. I believe it's entirely due to jealousy and because they hate Ian Durrant.
  2. No such thing in Scotland. Do you mean a non-denominational school? My old Chemistry teacher was a Tim and sent me out of the class at least once a fortnight. A kid would probably get expelled if he/she repeated the things I said to him today (he often wore a Celtc badge on his blazer and I just couldn't resist).
  3. I drink Scottish ales mainly. I love a Speyside malt too (I'll refrain from suggesting what I think you might drink). I'm more concerned about poor people not feeding their kids in order to fund their drinking. But the referees and the like...I think those who hate our club have their tentacles everywhere. We all went to the pub while they went to the library...
  4. I'd agree with that, pete. He's obviously an idiot. My point was more about how fans of other clubs are dealt with and how their incidents are reported in the press.
  5. Strange as we're just another football club and totally inclusive and open to all. Must just be bad luck and not a systematic problem in Scotland. Maybe jealousy?
  6. No one is robbing you of anything. I never heard about Rangers being "inclusive and open to all" until a couple of years ago (I've been a Rangers fan for over 30 years). Sounds like a made up new thing to me.
  7. Quite a few of us believe that religion and politics definitely are factors.
  8. Some of us think something more sinister is afoot. Some don't. Those that don't, don't seem to have much of an explanation for the turmoil we've encountered, the press being largely against us and the bombardment of hatred we face....or the referees never giving us the benefit of the doubt.
  9. Scotch whisky doesn't have an 'e'.
  10. The Record is not a reputable source.
  11. The world will still view it as 'Scotch'. I'm more aggrieved at the price hike recently announced by nanny state SNP.
  12. We are "deservedly despised". Well we are certainly despised (not deservedly). I don't mind that from opposition fans. It goes a bit further than that though. I find Scottish nationalism unlikeable and thankfully have never once encountered it at a Rangers match.
  13. Why would that be? We're just another football club, so we're told.
  14. All Bears call it that. You can call it something else if you want - freedom of speech and all that. Feel free to call fellow Bears sectarian bigots if you want.
  15. I don't consider myself a pathetic cerebral wimp. You have misunderstood my criticism of the national mindset. You can bring up the politics aspect you complain about at the next match you attend - I suggest asking people to stop singing Rule Britannia or Derry's Walls by telling them how divisive they are being. Please let me know how you fare. Do you go on supporters buses often? All the ones I've been on (for 30 years), the majority aboard have seemed keen on the cultural side of things.
  16. I could for a while but can't at the moment. BA in central defence might also work. Although if we get into Europe it could be tough getting him on a plane.
  17. Oh well. I hope the board have a Plan B.
  18. Hopefully Aberdeen's season is on a downward trajectory (with or without McInnes).
  19. Always question authority. You can tell who runs a place by what you can't say. We can't sing certain songs....says it all.
  20. Well said, Bill. The more identity politics gains traction, the thinner British skins seem to get. We're a bunch of pathetic cerebral wimps nowadays.
  21. Will I be able to edit my posts on the new version and can we get Hannibal from the A-Team in as Rangers manager?
  22. Dermot Gallacher and Chris Sutton think it was a straight red? Well I never!
  23. That guy sounds like a sheep just turned him down.
  24. I agree. I love a good sing song at a match. Nothing like belting out Derry's Walls when we've just equalised.
  25. I think the vast majority will know the songs are about Ulster and Britain. Union Jacks, Ulster, Rule Britannia and the like are mentioned often enough for even a very dimwitted chap to have a vague understanding of the subject matter. I'm glad I was born under a Union Jack anyway. The banners the UB displayed in September 2014 (Vote NO) also made me smile.
