  5. I recall Bobby being interviewed many, many years ago and he was asked about the . and Freemasonry. Bobby said "I'm a member of both. And damned proud of it too !"

  7. Couldny agree more. But removing PLG right now isn't the answer imo.
  8. As much as things aren't going for us, I canny see THAT one working. For one thing, it's too soon. For another, who'd do better given the fact there's no cash for new players ? Coupla million for a decent centre-half, Le Guen to wise up to the S.P.L. and I can see things improve.
  9. Sad news indeed. Last saw him at a 'do' in the wee Rangers Club coupla years ago. One of my all-time favourites and a player who'd shake up the crowd in our present day dressing room. Link : http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/06/11/06/SOCCER_Rangers_Shearer.html&TEAMHD=soccer R.I.P. Bobby.
  10. When the alternative is J Rod, I can see why Le Guen made that decision.

  12. One of the papers today said that only TWO of LeGuens' signings started the match yesterday. Surely canny be right ?
  13. Watched the game in the Ludge. Said at half-time we'd end up with a draw as I could see the team running out of ideas [indeed, losing whatever 'plan' they were working to]. When Utd scored I said it was a 'certainty' that we'd lose. Wish I'd been wrong.................but it's gonny happen again and again I'm afraid.
  14. Now I know how Bill Murray felt. 5 minutes into the game yesterday, I thought we were continuing the good work from Thursday night. After that point, I'd read the script, heard the L.P. and worn the tee-shirt. By half-time I knew EXACTLY how the match was going to turn out. The pundits on Radio Scotland pointed out before the game kicked off that D.U. did not have a forward line to speak of never mind a big, tall striker to trouble us. Our only danger would come at set-pieces. Why did nobody inside Ibrox figure that one out ? I'll tell you guys..........I DO NOT see this turning around.
  15. I'd hope he only meant he wasn't getting a game yesterday. Young Hutton has a wee bit to go .
  16. QUOTE : "Le Guen described last weekââ?¬â?¢s victory over Maccabi as a ââ?¬Å?great team performanceââ?¬Â. It wasnââ?¬â?¢t. There was a magnificent performance from captain Barry Ferguson, and solid showings from the likes of Brahim Hemdani, Jeremy Clement and Nacho Novo, but it was a poor quality game against disappointing opponents." As the saying goes, 'you can only play the team put in front of you'. This would be the same 'disappointing opponents' who gave Liverpool such a hard time. Who beat Auxerre. And who the same Press were saying just a few days ago, could provide us with our hardest game. Link to full article : http://www.sundayherald.com/58890
  17. In that case................ I apologise.

  21. Update : A 'Baw-Booting Day' will be held at the next home game. :D
  22. It was probably one of their guys that did it.
  23. Not QUITE right bud. The stewards are responsible. The polis are only there to take action if folks ignore directions from the stewards or there is a risk of disorder. It goes back a few years to when the polis wanted the Clubs to pay for ALL the cost of policing a game. The Clubs negotiated that they would pay for stewards, thus cutting down on the number of polis required. [The Clubs still only pay a small fraction of the total polis costs] Polis standing orders are that STEWARDS will remove an 'invader' from the pitch.
