I thought the News of the World had vanished, but it's alive and kicking in the North East.

“We note the latest attempt by this board to mislead and hold Rangers fans to ransom. Their latest “give us your money or the seat gets it” ultimatum is just another in a long line of misjudgements this board has made about the mood amongst the support in general. The fact that those now in the crosshairs of this board are a lifelong Rangers fan who has ploughed millions of his own money into the club with no return, an iconic captain from one of the club’s most successful ever periods and a group of Rangers fans attempting to secure the home of our football club, says more about this board than we ever could. There is no attempt to deprive the club of funds. This is made very clear in the security proposal and the board’s ham fisted attempt to misrepresent this is one of the few transparent things they have done since coming to power. No money will be taken from fans unless security is granted and we are of the opinion that the board’s reluctance to discuss granting security may well rapidly change. Our public comments about Mr Wallace are not personal but have been based on his binding pronouncements on matters of huge importance which have been at best misleading, broken promises for engagement with fans, attempts to blame fans for the current precarious position of the club and a complete lack of any progress in bringing much needed investment into the club. We welcome the fact that the entire board have now publicly taken responsibility for all of these actions. Once again we see meaningless sound bites with absolutely no substance to back them up. The result, no doubt, of the expensive PR man hired by this board with more urgency than a Chief Scout. What “significant progress” has been made? How will this “bright future” we are promised come about when the investment committee have failed to secure a single pound of investment? Rangers is certainly “dear to all of us”, the Rangers support. We have no idea why this board would attempt to claim the same when there is not a single fan amongst them. We do not believe that Rangers fans will fall for this again. We’ve seen it far too many times in the past two years. “ - See more at: https://www.ibrox1972.co.uk/statements/#sthash.5zQnzija.oJfk0OFG.dpuf

Who would choose the Admin this time ?

Elfideldo says Rangers forgot his contract was up. Rangers apparently "forgot" his contract was up. It's probably due lack of opportunity, broken promises and the style of football he has been expected to play on occasions.

There is a Thread on FF about young Charlie Telfer going to DU.

KENNY MILLER will become a Rangers player for the third time after negotiating his release from MLS club Vancouver Whitecaps last night. The former Scotland striker has struck a two-year deal with Gers boss Ally McCoist that will see him spearhead the Ibrox challenge to win the Championship next season. And McCoist will try to restore Miller’s strike partnership with Kris Boyd when the Kilmarnock hitman’s contract expires at the end of the season. No contact has been made out of respect to Boyd and his club as they battle to beat the drop. But at the end of the campaign McCoist, who has been told he will have the same budget as this season, will move for the 20-goal striker after out-of-contract players are cut from the Ibrox wage bill. The deal for 34-year-old Miller is all but signed and the formalities will be concluded now he is a free agent. And Record Sport can reveal Miller was so keen to return to Rangers he agreed a wage packet that is less than deals given to players such as Sebastien Faure and Arnold Peralta by former chief executive Charles Green. Announcing he was leaving Vancouver last night, Miller said: “The club wanted to go in one direction, I wanted to go in another direction.” Meanwhile, McCoist has revealed Rangers players and staff won’t receive a penny for winning League One – even though chief executive Graham Wallace stands to rake in a £315,000 bonus. The Ibrox gaffer admits it’s “unusual” for a title-winning side not to be rewarded but insists neither he nor his stars want any extra cash. However, CEO Wallace will collect a 100 per cent bonus on top of his £315,000 salary if “business targets” have been met. The Englishman will also pick up £25,000 courtesy of Gers being crowned champions. McCoist said: “The players won’t receive any sort of bonus at all for winning the league. It was the same last year and that includes the management staff. “In football that’s quite unusual but our lads haven’t mumped and moaned about it. “It’s frustrating that we’re doing our jobs but there still seems to be a lot of uncertainty surrounding the club.” http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/kenny-miller-quits-canada-third-3497106#.U2dVwGpFS2s.twitter

Too easy, so I have gone for Aird. I thought for his first full season he has done very well, scored vital goals and has made things happen by his direct running. Not the best we have produced but has never hidden unlike some.

Par for the course with our support. Jardine, Greig now Gough, there have been a few who have been attacked over the years.

Unfortunately there are some who think they are traditionalists who are a disgrace.
-
Not sure about that.

I have no doubt we will improve by playing better teams every week and we will win most games at Ibrox. The trouble will come in away games, where as this season every game will be a cup final, only it will be against teams that train full-time.

With Craig Gordon we should get the oldest team award.

You have to wonder about some of our support, absolute cretins.

Look at his other posts.

Wallace should make a decision about the Manager. Ally seems to be making it easy for him.

You are an idiot.

Don't be daft.

We don't need another keeper on a wage, even if he got back to his best, why do we need 2 top keepers. Get one of the younger ones on the bench.
