McInally blasts Rangers as Division Three flops
chilledbear replied to simplythebest's topic in Rangers Chat
One of my biggest bugbears is the attitude of the players/management. Why do we give our opponents so much time and space, continually we sit back giving them time to collect the ball and pick out a pass. There has only been 1 or 2 games this season where we pressed the ball, one of these against M'well, our best performance by a mile. Why are the players not told to do this all the time. The great thing about it, you don't even need to be a good footballer, just a winning attitude and a good level of fitness. -
Why not have a look at Southampton, they constantly bring through young lads who go on to better things. The young left back is the next one.

I don't think anybodys saying, wow JMc.says we aren't that good, it must be true. He is confirming what a lot of Rangers Supporters have been saying for a while. -
'Bud' Johnston played for Scotland the same season he made his debut for Rangers.

I feel we have wasted a golden opportunity this season. -
Strange time to come out with this, middle of the transfer window.

I remember him in this Tournament, was surprised at the time that we let him go. Tommy Wilson is hoping that 2010/11 can be the year that Andrew Shinnie forces his way in to the Rangers first-team and fulfil his undoubted potential. The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has now enjoyed two productive loan spells at Dundee in the past two seasons and has benefited greatly from playing regularly in the First Division. On his return to Murray Park at the start of this month Wilson invited Shinnie to Hong Kong to play in the prestigious Soccer Andrew Shinnie in action against Aston Villa in Hong KongSevens tournament and was blown away by his mature performances. Despite coming up against Premiership opposition including West Ham United, Sunderland, Aston Villa and Old Firm rivals Celtic, Shinnie was named Player of the Tournament having scored eight goals. And his displays did not go unnoticed by opposing coaches with Villa Academy Manager Bryan Jones highlighting the Scotland under-21 internatioanl as an 'excellent player' on their official website. Tommy Wilson said: "The Aston Villa staff, and the coaches from the other teams, all asked me about Andrew Shinnie in Hong Kong. "It was almost like he was playing a different sport at times; he was absolutely magnificent. "He scored some great goals but it was his overall play that made him stand out. "Because of the make up of the squad I asked him to play slightly further forward than he normally would and that's something we might continue to do in the future. Rangers FC -
As I do, love to be there.

If this was us it would be all over the tabloids - we'll see!
chilledbear replied to Anchorman's topic in Rangers Chat
I was once asked if all protestants voted Tory. There were no Tories MPs sitting in Scotland at the time. It must be the schools right enough. -
I wonder if we were in the SPL, would the same decision have been reached!!

Rangers defender Lee Wallace has had his appeal upheld against a red card suffered against Annan Athletic. The Scotland left-back was sent off by Paul Robertson for a foul on Jack Steele during Rangers' 3-0 win at Ibrox on 18 December . But a Scottish Football Association fast-track tribunal reduced the offence to a yellow card. Wallace had argued that, while he had fouled the Annan midfielder, he had not denied a goalscoring opportunity. An SFA statement confirmed: "Upon reviewing the incident, the match referee, Paul Robertson, stood by the awarding of a penalty kick but considered that the incident did not deny an obvious goalscoring opportunity. "The tribunal accepted this view and upheld the player reference, reducing the offence to a caution for unsporting behaviour (holding or pushing an opponent)." Wallace has been able to play in victories over Elgin City and Clyde while waiting for his claim of wrongful dismissal to be heard. The defender opened the scoring in the 3-0 Boxing Day victory over Clyde that stretched Rangers' lead in Division Three to 12 points. He will now be available for Saturday's Glasgow derby against Queen's Park.

WHY DID UNITED'S STEPHEN THOMPSON QUIT SPL? YOU have got to hand it to Chuck. He knows how to spin a good old wind up. And the more I see of and hear Charles Green in action, the more I come to realise he is the chief executive Rangers have needed and Rangers supporters have been pining for, for years. I canâ??t think of anyone who could have had Dundee United and Dundee United supporters in a bigger tizzy than the one he sent them into on Christmas Eve. I caught Green being interviewed on Sky Sports and it was a classic ho-ho-ho moment when he said that he had the perfect solution to the Dundee United fears that they would lose out financially because, without Rangers supporters there, they would struggle to fill Tannadice for the Scottish Cup tie. Greenâ??s solution was simple. Let Dundee United chairman Stephen Thompson tell Dundee United fans to stay away, to watch the match on television instead, while he handed over all the tickets to Rangers. According to chuckling Chuck who managed to say it all with a straight face, Rangers would fill Tannadice with Rangers supporters, United would get their 40 percent of a full house, to do with what they choose, while Rangers would follow through with their promise to donate their 40 percent to charity. As Eric used to say to Ernie, get out of that! It was a spellbinding performance of pure bravado, carefully calibrated to cause the maximum offence to everyone associated with Dundee United, club and supporters alike. We can therefore be sure it will have hardened attitudes against Rangers at the Scottish Daily Mail, where sports editor Dougie McRobb is a hard line anti Rangers Dundee United fanatic. It was also the Rangers chief executive at his brilliant populist best, picking his target with great care and I wonder if his clever insult had anything to do with the fact that United chairman Stephen Thompson has recently resigned from the Scottish Premier League board in mysterious circumstances, coincidentally around the same time as rumours surfaced of a major story from within either the SPL or SFA which, again according to the jungle drums, one major law firm were hard at work keeping out of the press. Harper and Macleod? Whatever the motivation for this latest statement from Charles Green, we can be sure that it didnâ??t just come from off the top of his head. For, despite his blunt speaking professional Yorkshire man routine, Chuck can be as clever as a muster of Mastermind winners and as cute as a symposium of spin doctors when the occasion demands and he is more aware than me, or anyone reading this, of what is going on in the background within the ranks of the anti Rangers brigade who stalk the corridors of power in Stuart Regan, Peter Lawwell and Rod Petrieâ??s Scottish Football Association and Neil Doncaster, Peter Lawwell and Eric Rileyâ??s Scottish Premier League. But, for all that, his idea of Dundee United handing over all the tickets to Rangers for the Scottish Cup tie at Tannadice is a cracking idea. I just wish that I had thought of it first. Of course thatâ??s why I write LeggoLand, while good old Chuck is the chief executive of Rangers. posted by leggoland @ 08:23

POLICE PROBE ATTACKS ON LEGGOLAND AND ME NOW that Santa has been and gone, the next visitor many homes will be getting will be their First Foot. However, somebody, somewhere, will be starting the New Year with the sort of First Foot they donâ??t want. For that First Foot over their threshold will follow a heavy and unmistakable knock on the door. And instead of the First Footâ??s hands being filled with coal, black bun and a dram, those hands will be kept free for feeling a collar. That is my message of Christmas cheer this year to those who have attacked LeggoLand on-line and also to those who been behind a number of phone calls which are now be investigated by the Police. Two hours inside a police station, passing on details and making a statement about events at the weekend, which followed my blog on the Enemy Within who have so damaged Rangers, was not the way I would have planned to spend the afternoon of Christmas Eve. But needs must when the devil rides. And Auld Nick has certainly been busy in the last two days or so, with LeggoLand being hacked into and with me being targeted by a series of telephone calls. The police are already hot on the trail of and on the brink of unmasking the culprit who masterminded this sordid sad and disgusting campaign aimed at unnerving me. A charge of beach of the peace â??at the very least â?? awaits. Meanwhile, more news reaches me regarding the damage done to the Rangers share issue by the Enemy Within, this time as far away as the other side of the Atlantic. The North American Rangers Supporters Association was expected to swell the coffers of the Rangers Supporters Trust £125-a-pop scheme, especially as buying individual shares when not resident in the United Kingdom was complicated. But NASRAâ??s contribution â?? despite many well heeled fans being members â?? fell a long way short of expectations and the belief is the scare stories about a scam damaged confidence. Of course people are falling over themselves to deny any involvement. You know the sort of thing.....it wisnae me mister, a big boy did it and ran away. Talk about denial. If the cock crows any more then folk will start forgetting this is Christmas and be fooled into believing itâ??s Easter already. One of the things many people have remarked on to me in the last few days, is the coincidence surrounding the appearance of my blog The Enemy Within on Friday morning and the fact that LeggoLand was hacked on Friday evening. And something the two police officers I spoke to, pointed out was the coincidence in the timing of the telephone calls I had and LeggoLand being hacked. I am sure this too will play a part in their investigations. There certainly appears to have been a pincer attack on me, with one wing attacking LeggoLand in a bid to silence me, while the other sought to intimidate me. The tactic, as those reading this can see, has not worked. And it has been interesting to see how those who infest the Huddleboard and Kerrydale Street sites have reacted. I seriously wonder at the ability of some folk there to read. For despite me making my cordial relationship with the new Rangers regime clear by explaining the time I have spent in the company, first of Charles Green and Imran Ahmad and then with Brian Stockbridge, there remain some Celtic supporters trying to convince themselves that I deleted my blogs because I was running scared of Charles Green. They are confused. They confuse me with the cowardly, anonymous and wildly inaccurate Rangers Tax Case Blogger who disappeared without a trace or an explanation when the Tax Tribunal ruled in favour of Rangers. I am no coward and I am not anonymous. I am accurate and I have not disappeared and am always willing to explain myself. As a wee Christmas treat, here is a wee taster. I wonder if the Rangers Tax Case blogger will be followed by anyone else disappearing into the ether in the near future? I wonder if anyone else out there who is an arch Rangers hater will soon be disgraced? For the moment, the Enemy Within remain a clear and present danger to the current and future well being of the Rangers, rescued by the hard work of Charles Green, Imran Ahmad and Brian Stockbridge. For real Rangers supporters, those who bought into the share issue, either individually or through the Rangers Supporters Trust and those who gave it their backing, for all of the New Gallant Pioneers, the V word, must be the watchward. Vigilance! leggoland at 09:00

All the best mate. Has it ever been asked, and adequately explained why there is so much security around BF1. Surely it would be in everyones interest that there are discussions between all parties. It does actually look as if there is an attempt to intimidate and create trouble.

Have a good one everyone. Merry Christmas

As an outsider, who knows none of the individuals involved in the RST past or present. It seems pretty obvious that rather an attack on the RST, as usual it is one person who draws the bile. Perhaps for the good of the Trust, and in the long run the Club, the individual should look at his position in the Organisation. Just an observation from a [st]ranger.

Strange one. FF and the RST get called, and rightly so sometimes as being too close, then when there are posts going against what the RST are doing, FF get roasted for that.
